Battle Club
Welcome, brave one! It's time to put your collected Meta team to the test in our Battle Club!

IS THIS A PROPER RP?
Yes! Here, you will play as the trainer you signed up with in the Meta Journey. You can give them a nickname, if you don't want them to be called by your PokéCommunity username. They will possess all of the pokémon you have collected so far in the Meta Journey. WHAT IS THE RP ABOUT?
You and the other Meta trainers enter a Battle Club in the current region. For now, the region is Johto and the Battle Club is located in Blackthorn City!
You can either battle NPCs of your own creation, or battle other players. Simply write up your battles and post them in the IC thread, to show off your glorious pokémon collection (and of course to earn even more IC posts to use in the Meta Journey! It's an upwards spiral, oh my)
In the Blackthorn Battle Club, there are several different arenas you can fight on:
PLAIN (just a regular battlefield with spectator seats)
GLACIER (the battlefield is covered in snow and ice crystals, and lined by a slippery ice wall)
MOUNTAIN (the battlefield consists of dirt and rocks, lined by taller cliffs)

CAN I USE ALL OF MY POKÉMON?
As usual, you should not carry more than 6 pokémon at once. When you enter a battle, make sure to choose a maximum of 6 pokémon to carry.
CAN I FINALLY TRADE POKÉMON HERE?
Yes! As long as you RP it out in a believable way, you may freely trade pokémon with other players when In Character, as long as it is 1 pokémon for 1 pokémon, not several pokémon for one. No trading with NPCs. We will of course update your team in the Meta Journey master thread to reflect any trades.
WHAT DO I GAIN FROM PARTICIPATING?
If you post at least one complete battle, you get a Johto Battle Guest emblem!
If you post at least two complete battles, you win a Johto Battle Pro emblem!
On top of that: you also receive a special pokémon egg... Which you will be able to hatch for 2 IC / 6 Theatre posts later on. It is said to contain a pokémon not easily found normally...
If any of your battles was against another real Meta Journey player,
you will also get a Johto Battle Friend emblem!
On top of that: since you bonded with another player and can get help from them in the future, you will be able to use their favorite pokémon type as your own one time in a future area, should you want to capture special pokémon that wouldn't otherwise be available to you. What friendly favors (other types) you are currently able to benefit from will be noted in your Meta Journey profile.
