    Hey guys :3

So it's time for another reintroduction. I go by rainbow, I'm 18 and from the UK. I'm at a... well, difficult period in my life right now. I have a bit of a history with mental health, specifically social anxiety and depression and I don't really have any IRL friends because of these things. I've been a member of PC for over 10 years now and wanna get talking to cool people here again! I miss how many good friendships I've had here and would love to meet loads of new people! I've loved pokémon for a long time, most of my life really. Gen IV is my absolute favourite but of course I keep up with the newer games too. Gen VII was great and I enjoyed Sword recently a lot. It gave me the British pokémon experience I'd been dreaming of since I was a kid. I also play showdown sometimes, it's fun to not have to put effort into training and just try out strats,.

Outside of pokémon, I'm a law student. I'm also learning to write screenplays - I have a lot of ideas I'd like to see realised in script form and just need to practice. I play guitar too, but haven't really practiced much lately. So yeah, hello anyone who remembers my many attempts at reintroduction over the years, hello anyone who doesn't know me!

Feel free to message me, and stuff.

    Hi there!
It's nice to meet you. I know how you feel I have GAD myself so I know the struggles of talking to people especially face to face, in fact, I came here to try and socialise more and build my confidence.
Gen 4 is my favourite as well, Platinum and the Gen 2 remakes are easily my favourites. I'm enjoying shield so far, being from the UK myself I had the same dream as a kid. I like playing showdown as well, I use it mostly to make really weird teams.

That's really cool that you are studying law. And screenplays sound interesting. I've always wanted to learn to play the piano personally, but the guitar is definitely up there on things I want to learn.

Do you mind if I ask you what your favourite Pokemon is?

Nice to meet you too! Ah, yes. Anxiety is super unfortunate and very inhibiting when it comes to making friends. I tend to find myself making way more friends online, and PC is definitely a great place for that and building your confidence. Believe it or not, I was only 8 when I joined - at the time there were no COPPA regulations - and I attribute a lot of my development today to the socialising and time spent on PC as a kid. Yay, more gen 4 fans! Platinum is absolutely incredible, I could replay it endlessly. HG/SS are just stellar and pretty much perfect examples of pokémon games. Yep, growing up I would spend so much time imagining that I was in pokémon, and just generally fantasised that the place I lived was a "region" or something. Fast forward like 10 years and we have a real British pokémon game just how I always wished. Very satisfying for my childhood! Yeah, showdown is fun for strategies that are hard to come by in the games, or stuff of questionable quality that you wouldn't want to spend time making only for it to suck.

Law is hard, to be honest I have very little idea where it's going to take me but I'm on the course so just gonna see what happens, I guess. Screenplays are so cool! Making movies could probably be considered my real passion, and I'm very excited about the screenplay I'm writing now. PC has a lot of writers and writing resources so I'll probably end up in those parts of the site from time to time. Ah, for me the instrument I wish I could play is drums. Guitar is fun, and self teaching it was a pretty interesting experience but there's always been something about the drums that I find so technically skillful.

Favourite pokémon is a very, very tough question. Off the top of my head, Spiritomb, Celebi, Dialga are all great picks. One of my absolute favourites ever is Wobbuffet, mainly because I beat Red in my Crystal run with pretty much only my Wobbuffet (which was like 40 levels below his whole team). Took a bit of effort but god damn, Wobb was a monster in Gen II. Loved him since and bred a shiny one in USUM. Also own a plush of him. What about yours?

hello there welcome back I know how you feel I don't have any real life friends I hope you enjoy your time here again

Thank you! Yeah, it can be tough to make friends IRL. I just moved to uni and have really struggled to make any, and the people I've been interacting with see very little of me because of my depression and such. But it's much easier and equally rewarding to have friends on PC. Nice to meet you!

<3 Thank you!!! My profile still looks beautiful, and I have you to thank for that too! Hopefully sticking around for good now!!

  • Hello!
I know we've been chatting a little bit already but I thought I'd comment on your introduction thread! c:
How long have you been studying law for? do you enjoy it? I know uni can be really overwhelming at first but it is definitely the best place to grow and find yourself, so make sure not to get too caught up in the expectations you might have!
Also, it's really cool that you can play guitar. I've always wanted to be able to play an instrument but I don't think I have the concentration for it haha. My boyfriend has such amazing musical ability, and plays drums and guitar. I'm too impatient and what to be amazing straight away haha
