I figured I'd look into Tinted Lens more. Assuming 165 SAtk and a moveset of Leaf Storm, Sludge Bomb, and HP Fire, the following Pokemon can check Rose: Chansey, Heatran, Talonflame, Jirachi, Latias, Mew, and Dragonite. It's a sizable amount. However, Talon, Latias, Mew, and Dragonite can get poisoned after repeated hits. As long as Rose is about as slow and fragile as Mega Gardevoir, it shouldn't be too ridiculous. On the other hand, Tinted Lens Sludge Bomb would be like Scald on steroids lol.

Storm Drain has it! That means we now have a Grass/Poison Mega Roserade with the Storm Drain ability. So, let's talk stats. What changes do you want to see?

I'm thinking

HP: 60
Atk: 70
Def: 85 (+20)
Sp. Atk: 145 (+20)
Sp. Def: 135 (+30)
Spe: 120 (+30)

This makes it into a fast special sweeper who can also tank some neutral special hits with a toxic immunity and an ability to absorb scald. It also keeps it clearly defined as being different to Mega Venusaur and I think is a fairly well-balanced spread.

I'm going to go with a hyper offensive version of our Mega Roserade. Bulky Grass/Poison seems to be covered with Venusaur and despite Storm Drain having defensive purposes that Special Attack boost is great for more sweeping.

HP: 60
ATK: 50 (-20)
DEF: 75 (+10)
SATK: 165 (+40)
SDEF: 125 (+20)
SPEED: 140 (+50)

Let's go for a slightly more beautiful, special version of Mega Beedrill :)

I feel like most sets are going to be specially offensive sets, but since it also gets access to SD and a couple physically offensive moves, have a mixed spread:

HP: 60 (+0)
Atk: 120 (+50)
Def: 74 (+9)
SpA: 135 (+10)
SpD: 110 (+5)
Spe: 116 (+26)

I voted for Mixed Attacker, Roserade has somewhat versatile attacks...if you use them right

I voted for mixed as well. I like the idea of introducing more mixed sweepers into the fold. :D

Mega Roserade should have at least 150 SAtk or Atk to make up for the lack of an item. If it had less than that, Rose would be the weakest offensive Mega available, with the exception of Megas with >135 Speed and those that have a reliable means of boosting their power. e.g. Metagross has Tough Claws, Houndoom has Nasty Plot, and Absol has Swords Dance. Not to mention Rose's coverage is pretty lacking, so it should be given a better SAtk to make up for that. Another example of how weak 145 SAtk is:

252 SpA Roserade Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 277-327 (72.5 - 85.6%)
252 SpA Life Orb Latias Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 296-348 (77.4 - 91%)

Mixed attacker is too weak. For example:

+2 252 Atk Roserade Seed Bomb vs. 240 HP / 176+ Def Garchomp: 196-232 (47 - 55.6%)
+2 252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 240 HP / 176+ Def Garchomp: 271-321 (64.9 - 76.9%)
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 240 HP / 176+ Def Garchomp: 263-309 (63 - 74.1%)
+1 252 Atk Roserade Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Landorus-T: 144-171 (37.6 - 44.7%)
4 SpA Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 252 HP / 188+ SpD Heatran: 164-196 (42.4 - 50.7%)
4 SpA Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Heatran: 216-256 (66.8 - 79.2%)
4 SpA Roserade Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 200 SpD Mega Scizor: 188-224 (54.8 - 65.3%)

I like Special Sweeper 2 the most. 75 Def is a little lacking, but that way it stays true to Rose's design and it can still pull off a defensive set moderately well. If you were to use max HP and Speed:

252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Roserade: 169-199 (52.4 - 61.8%)
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Roserade: 131-154 (40.6 - 47.8%)
252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Icy Wind vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Roserade: 148-176 (45.9 - 54.6%)
+1 252+ Atk Pixilate Mega Altaria Return vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Roserade: 200-236 (62.1 - 73.2%)

Or put most EVs in Def and enough Speed to outrun Timid Manaphy:

252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 204+ Def Roserade: 122-144 (37.8 - 44.7%)
+1 252+ Atk Pixilate Mega Altaria Return vs. 252 HP / 204+ Def Roserade: 144-170 (44.7 - 52.7%)

As for power:

252 SpA Roserade Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 306-361 (80.1 - 94.5%)
252 SpA Life Orb Latias Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 296-348 (77.4 - 91%)
252 SpA Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Talonflame: 160-189 (44.5 - 52.6%)
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Talonflame: 153-183 (42.6 - 50.9%)
252 SpA Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 96 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Tornadus-T: 129-153 (39.9 - 47.3%)
0 SpA Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Altaria: 288-342 (98.9 - 117.5%)
0 SpA Roserade Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 261-307 (92.8 - 109.2%)
Just for fun, after a Storm Drain boost: +1 252 SpA Roserade Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Jirachi: 172-204 (42.5 - 50.4%)

I voted for the second special sweeper stats. I think 140 Speed is TOO fast for a rose, and I'd prefer it if it only had a +30 at Speed and no decrease in Attack, but compared with the other two options, after reading wolf's post I think it's the best one of the three.

I think I will nominate Roserade for evolution

Roserade was already picked and its stat changes were decided on in this thread. A design for it was also decided so an article with the community's Mega Roserade should be on PokéCommunity Daily soon!

Nominations for the next Make-a-Mega are finished but you can vote for the ones you want in this thread here.
