Are you a very patient person or not? How much does it take for you to become impatient, and what do you do to take your mind off things you're waiting for? Do you tend to be impatient with people, with computers, or with anything else which springs to mind?

I have been told I have an obscene amount of patience. xD I am capable o fwaiting ages for even the simplest things. I think it mainly stems from two things: my stubbornness, and my imagination.

If I am really stubborn about something, I will usually be willing to wait a loooooooong time until I get my way. xD

Other times, it's just the fact that I can day dream and what not to while away the time, and I can day dream for ages.

When it comes to dealing with people, I can't explain it, but I can be uber patient with people. Other people get frustrated with things, like, how my great great aunt was really hard to understand when she spoke, and people would get frustrated easily, but I just sat there and waited and figured out what she was saying.

So yeah, I am patient. xD

I'm patient with things but not with people in general. Idk why, but on computers I can have ridiculous amounts of patience for things that would drive other people crazy. For example I used to play WoW on my computer and it would consistently run at 15-20 FPS, which I figured was normal and didn't think twice about it. But I told other people and they told me that such a low framerate should be unplayable and they wouldn't be able to take it. Similarly, when a computer is going wrong it takes a long time for me to get frustrated with it and video games as well.

But with people I tend to get frustrated easily, I'm not really sure why. :x

I'm a very patient person with regards to things and people... with the exception of immediate family members. If a computer is going crazy, I'm normally not one to throw it out of the window or anything; similarly, if a friend is just being a jerk for whatever reason, I'm not the person that gets annoyed. If my mum, dad or brother is taking their time with something, however, I can turn on a dime just like that. I guess it's because I've lived with them for so long so I 'expect' more of them with regards to being quick and speedy in matters... but with other people I've been told I have an insane level of tolerance!

I'm an incredibly impatient person. Slow computers, slow people, slow drivers. I can't handle any of it.

The one thing I do have infinite patience for, however, is learner drivers. If I see a learner driver on the road I drive patiently behind it, keeping a pretty big gap between me and them so they don't feel like I'm rushing them, and I'm quite happy to do that. I remember how HORRIBLE it was learning to drive and all the other jackasses on the road who wouldn't just leave me the hell alone. So I do everything I can to make sure they're comfortable and shield them from the other drivers on the road.

Whether they notice or not, I have no idea, but I try my best.

For the most part, I'm impatient because I want to do something I want (like getting online) as soon as possible (though I rarely show my impatience).

My patience is like a roller coaster. For some things I can be reallly patient. However, for some other things I tend to lack patience sometimes. I really depends. I've learned to be patient when I'm waiting for someone to arrive to pick me up, just as long as I'm not running late or anything. However, when it comes to people, that when it really depends. I'm patient with some people, but with others who annoy me constantly, it depends on how they annoy me. It also depends on what's being talked about. If it's something that has to do with my family's situation, then I can get really frustrated and can even get to the point of breaking down. But if it's about a more minor issue, then it takes longer for me to get frustrated.

Yeah, I'm like a roller coaster.

I hate waiting and so I won't like to call myself patient at all. It annoys me to wait for something be it the delivery of a pizza, or getting my hands on some new video games, or the release of some new movie. I am not patient at all. I also don't like that quote "good things make you wait" because it is not in my nature to wait for something for a long time. I just wish that things would speed up and I don't have to wait. :(

When it comes to being patient with others, I would say that I have got a lot of patience. I don't really get angry on other people except the time when they make me wait. Even if I do get angry I like to keep my calm as long as possible. I don't show any signs of outbursts and can thus handle very annoying and nagging persons. Also,I don't like to show my impatience on other objects around me. I like to just sit in a corner and concerntrate on myself.

Lastly if I do get imaptient I like to cool myself by firstly, taking a deep breath in, then out and ultimately by listening to music. Once I put the headphones in my ears, groove into my favorist playlist, I get detached from the world for a certain time and I cool myself down in the time being.

I think I am quite patient :'p. I feel I can often control my temper and won't throw a tandrum at others when I have it. I learn to count till a hundred first before I say anything or do anything that makes me regret later. When I want to show my anger, I just want it to be a healthy one. I mustn't blow my top, lose my rag or hit the roof at very short notice. :D Yet, I'm looking for a reason first. If this doesn't help, getting calm is a good choice because controling one's temper saves a lot of energy. :'3

I bet you also walk old ladies across the road too Shining, for when you're an old woma-- :3

I'm patient in terms of waiting long term for things I can't change, aka rn. :x Impatient when people come to pick me up, it takes 15 mins to get there, it shouldn't take longer than that for no reason. I'm also impatient with lag AFTER A POINT and reset the laptop rather than close things, but then again normally I put up with the lag, idk. When I'm not in a good mood I have no patience for people.

...but then when I'm waiting for an email, I constantly refresh over and over every 10 minutes
/thing I'm most impatient about lool

Patient like a donkey, no, maybe even more. Donkeys actually can't wait to get loaded.

I've been considered to be a person of little demand and less impatience. "Better late than never" covers up any of my subconscious tryouts to complain for something to come. I never had problems waiting. I still am, in a certain retrospect.

    PotW Time! *stickies*

Depends. Like, if I'm waiting for a game to come out or something online to update, I'm pretty patient. Things in media, I understand that it'll come out when it comes out. Time flies. If I'm waiting for someone to pick me up and I have places to go, or if I'm waiting for someone to talk to me, not so much. :p

I am impatient. Impatient with just about anything; people, things, lineups, malfunctions, even art, mail, ugh.. I can't think of anything that I'm patient with.
However, being impatient doesn't mean I'm spontaneous. I am not spontaneous at all.

Depends what the thing is. People I have no patience for...unless they are disabled/have a problem. Then I will kind as all can be. Normally, I have no sympathy for most people.

In terms of inanimate objects and whatnot, sure whatnot. Like I'm patiently waiting for a number of games.

I hate waiting for stuff. I want things to happen instantly, and I get edgy and frustrated when they don't. My patience actually seems to have gotten worse since I started going to college... don't know whether it's life on my own that led me to become more impatient over the years, but I definitely have less patience than, say, ten years ago.

Are you a very patient person or not?
    No I am not

How much does it take for you to become impatient, and what do you do to take your mind off things you're waiting for?
if I am waiting for about 10-15 minutes for someone

Do you tend to be impatient with people, with computers, or with anything else which springs to mind?
Pretty much everything (especially with computers)

Very, very little when it comes to waiting for people, whether it's to arrive, finish a task, navigate a videogame level, make a decision, etc. I'm very quick to do those things so I have a lack of understanding as to why they can't just think faster and hurry the hell up so we can move on.

Conversely, I've sat happily for 12 hours pushing around clay.

I'm only patient with my friends and even then it's barely.

Particularly waiting for a long time or getting stuck on something.

I usually listen to music if I have it with me. If not then I either read a book or take a nap.

Yup, pretty much impatient with anything if it acts up in some way like my comp freezing up for 10 minutes straight for example.
