Short Story
Writing Contest​


This is Under the Sea's first club contest! This writing contest will run from 12/30/11 to 1/20/12.

Rules/Guidelines for your story
• Must be 3-5 paragraphs long. 5-6 sentences per paragraph.
• Story mush contain at least 2 water Pokemon. Feel free to use other types of Pokemon
• The story must be holiday theme/New Year themed.
• No plagiarism!!!
• PM me or Otherworld9) if you would like to join the contest.
• Both of us will be judging the stories.
• There will be a winner and 2 runner-ups


Prizes
First Place
• 2 shiny Pokemon breeds of your choice
• 3 new partners
• 2 out of the 3 can be shiny
• Featured "Club Member of the Month" for February

Runner-ups
• 1 shiny Pokemon breed of your choice

If you could choose any water Pokemon as a starter, what would it be and why?

I would have Staryu as a starter because it can use thunderbolt and ice beam which would be helpful. :D

5 Top Favorites: Swampert is my first, second Lumineon, third Empoleon, fourth Lantern, and fifth goes to Azumarill.

If you could choose any water pokemon as your starter, what would it be and why?
-Obviously would be Mudkip. Helps me a lot and its final evolution can destroy a team if it wasn't for the grass types. He helps me kill off the Elite with ease, and not to mention his earthquake. :3

I would choose Horsea as my starter since it evolves into something completely badass! Horsea is absolutely adorable and Seadra/Kingdra are such strong Pokemon, so it seems to me like the perfect choice haha. The only problem is that it'd only be able to come out in the water iirc!

It IS a beast....or to me since it helped me sweep the floor in Emerald, except the 8th gym leader.....couldn't get past that Kingdra! Arr! But I beat him after raising a Raichu. That gym leader really deserves it....Juan...

Oh, yeah. Name my Swampert Denxyr please. Can't get enough of that nickname.

I have a Marshtomp on my Emerald right now. It's doing all the fighting while the rest of my party just sit with experience share. xD

Emerald is pretty much a breeze if you choose Mudkip. <3

If you choose Mudkip the first 4 Gyms are guaranteed wins and Gyms 5, 6 and 7 depend on what you teach it. Blizzard can take out Flying Gym and in RS he can take out Tate and Liza easy. They're a bit more challenging in Emerald cuz of the team changes though. Wallace/Juan is just moot with Mudkip line.

Your nickname for Swampert reminds me of Demyx from KH which is ironic cuz he controls water too

Yeah, just depends on strategy I guess....as for the Denxyr, I never knew that. I don't know who Demyx or what KH is...I will check that out and learn something new today....

I love Swampert as a battler after looking it up! It seems so diverse o.o I'm certainly going to devise a couple move sets for it soon! May post them here haha. But it most certainly is a beast to fight, that's for sure! Plus it has a cute face. <3

I wanna do a water monotype on HG but I don't have my second DS. I would trade in a Marril to start with <3
As for a water/ground, I'd use Quagsire cuz I think Mudkip line is too OP
