Just like any other day, the sun rises up from the east over Pallet Town. But for eight future trainers, this day bears a striking difference from any other day in their young lives. This is the day they will receive their first Pokémon from Professor Oak, with a Pokédex as well, and begin their journey to collect the eight Kanto gym badges and one day hopefully become the champion of the Kanto region. Professor Oak has also given these eight trainers the task of studying and collecting information on the Pokémon that reside in the Kanto region, for reasons that have not been made clear yet.
So these trainers are going to enjoy a peaceful, danger free journey right? Yea right, that would be no fun. Many Kanto citizens have been reporting criminal activity by an organization called Team Rocket. Stealing Pokémon and wearing ugly uniforms, typical bad guy stuff.
The twist is, the sighting of Mew. Citizens have been reporting multiple sightings of Mew, but not just one, but two Mew. One being the normal pink colored, but a few sightings have also featured a blue Mew. Is there a connection between Mew and Team Rocket? Or are they two separate situations happening coincidentally at the same time? Do I like eating waffles? The answers to the questions lie beneath a large amount of Role Playing posts, and yes you have to write them.
RP Mechanics
Chapters - This will be a chaptered RP; at the beginning of the chapter I will post things such as catchable Pokémon, events, items that can be found and the description of the area. At the end of the chapter, I will level Pokémon up; assign new moves, and tasks like that. The next chapter will start once everyone is finished the current chapter. When you have finished writing for the chapter, please VM me so I can remember.
Pokémon – Levels will be a factor in the game, all starter Pokémon will be Level 5. You do not have to wait for approval to catch a new Pokémon, as long as I say it can be found in the current area.
Gym Leaders/Elite Four – When you are ready to challenge a Gym Leader/The Elite Four, message me and I will PM you the team of the Gym Leader/Elite Four.

Ari is afraid to open up to people, since she thinks that they'll call her a freak or hurt her. She's easily pushed around and will often do whatever people tell her to do if it means that she can avoid confrontations with them. She will often mumble things to herself to calm herself down. Ariadne doesn't like being in crowded places and will avoid them if she can. She doesn't think much of herself and has very low self-esteem. She hates to see anybody get hurt, but she thinks that she wouldn't be much help to them.

Skylar Rose- Chapter 3-1 "Humans. Why humans?"
Skylar sighed and tried to ignore Stephanie, who was suddenly having second thoughts about running away and wanted Skylar to go back to her family. Skylar growled under her breath and covered her ears. She looked down at the tiny Poochyena, who was carrying her black bag on her back, and sighed. There was no way that she was going back to those idiots. They acted like they were so much better than everyone, better than her. She'd show them. She'd show her mother that she wasn't a stupid girl. Stephanie looked up at her, clearly worried.
"Skylar, you should at least see how they're doing," she said softly. "I mean, they are your family, and you did abandon them…" Skylar glared at her and growled again. Stephanie sighed and rolled her eyes. "You know, you COULD try talking to me. Or to them. Even in the pack when we had issues, we worked them out," Stephanie added after a few moments of silence. Skylar took a deep breath and looked down at Stephanie again, sighing when she saw that familiar puppy dog look on her face. She can be so annoying, Skylar thought angrily, looking away.
Stephanie suddenly started to growl. Skylar looked down and saw that the wolf's body was tense. That meant one of two things: she was either mad, or there was trouble somewhere. And Stephanie almost never got mad. Skylar fell down to all fours next to Stephanie and growled, even though she didn't know what exactly the problem was. "What's wrong, Steph?" she asked, looking around nervously. Stephanie growled again and looked up at Skylar. "Stand up normally," she whispered.
"There's a human here." Skylar stood up and couldn't help but growl, too. Stephanie walked forward and motioned for Skylar to follow her. The pink-haired girl followed the wolf silently and froze when she saw a man looking around nervously, almost as if he were feeling guilty of something. She noticed the Pokeball in his hand and glared at it. Stephanie growled and ran over to the man, barking angrily.
Skylar gasped and followed Stephanie. She picked her up and looked up at the man. "I'm so sorry about her," she said softly, silently wishing that she had put her shoes on. This guy must think she's a freak. "I don't really know what got into her. She usually isn't like this…" Skylar glared down at her. Stephanie frowned. "Something's not right with him…" she mumbled. Skylar looked down at her and let out a tiny growl. She looked up at the man. "What's wrong, mister?" she asked. The man sniffled and turned away from her.
"Y-You see, there's this Pokemon I have… I can't take care of him… I would love to keep him, but…" Skylar tilted her head as he pulled out a handkerchief and blew his nose. Stephanie growled again, and Skylar knew why. This guy was a faker. She could tell that much from her instincts. He probably doesn't even care about his Pokemon. He was probably just like her mom. Skylar petted Stephanie and leaned over to whisper in her ear. "When I give the signal, you attack, alright? I'm sorry that I didn't listen to you. This guy is evil." Stephanie smiled a smug doggy smile and stuck her tongue out.
Skylar set Stephanie down and tapped the man on the shoulder. "I can take care of your Pokemon, sir," she said softly. The man looked back at her, and she noticed that there weren't any tear stains on his face or anything. He was totally faking! Stephanie growled loudly and lunged towards the man.
Skylar watched as she tackled the man to the ground and sighed. Doesn't she know what the word "signal" means? she thought, a little annoyed. "Steffy, get off of him," she said, shaking her head. Stephanie growled and took the Pokeball from him and put it in the bag on her back. Skylar picked her up and glared down at the man, who was about to stand up. "You don't deserve to have a Pokemon," she spat out angrily.
The man shook his head and stood up. Stephanie glared at him and showed her teeth. "Look, girl, I was just told to sell this Pokemon to someone. I can tell that you're a capable trainer, so just give me the money and you can keep the Pokemon. I don't want any trouble." He let out a nervous chuckle and eyed Stephanie nervously. Skylar growled and hugged Stephanie tighter. "You're despicable," she muttered. "How could you kidnap an innocent Pokemon and sell it? You're a monster. If you don't want me and Steph to hurt you, you shouldn't follow us."
She walked away and didn't look back until she was far away. Stephanie dozed off in her arms and yawned when she felt Skylar digging around in the pack on her back. "What are you doing?" she asked softly. Skylar frowned when she pulled the Pokeball out and stared at it for a few moments before pressing the button in the middle. She watched as a Ralts emerged from a bright light, a bandage wrapped around its shoulder. Skylar frowned. "Now what, Steph?"

Some would call Logan Ellsbury competitive, while others may call him a jerk. Either way, intense is a trait that both angles could agree on when it comes to Logan Ellsbury. Logan tries hard at everything, from making his bed, to sports, to school work to Pokemon training, Logan's main purpose in everything is to be the best. Logan doesn't take no for an answer, and is extremely persistent to wanting things his way. One could call him a spoiled brat, and he does show flashes of that, he is also a hard worker and doesn't take his opportunities for granted. Logan is overconfident and displays flashes of arrogance, placing a high amount, sometimes too much faith into his knowledge and abilities. This has led to some embarrassing blunders for him in the past, which drives him to work even harder. Logan isn't a friendly person per say, but under the right circumstances he might decide to tolerate your existence. As a Trainer, Logan studies and practices his craft, but lacks that certain caring touch with his pokemon, instead being the "demanding coach" type. Logan enjoys the outdoors, being active and long walks on the beach. Logan is not one for sitting around and doing nothing, and often looks down upon those who do. As for his opinion on Waffles, that's a secret that is much to early to tell.
Goals: Logan is driven to become the pokemon champion of Kanto (cliche I know but the persona makes sense)
Starter: Magikarp (KARP KARP)
Role-play Sample: I know how I role-play,
Other: Nope
EDIT:
@Challenger and @Lacangel: Reserved for Sandile and Solosis!
@eeveeandmew: Pending. You need to add a lot more to the Personality section, and a bit more to your appearance. I'd suggest looking at my SU, that's at least what I expect, read other people's SU's in other RP's and see what they do because you need to beef your SU up quite a bit
A quick question for everyone signed up, would you like to start the RP by getting your pokemon from Prof. Oak or would you like to just start on Route 1?
Personality: Tobi's only concern in his life is strength and power. He greatly dislikes people who he deems weak or he feels has a weak desire. He comes from a long line of very wealthy and very successful pokemon trainers. Ever since birth he has been told to show no signs of weakness and to always be strong. Being at such a young age Tobi embodied that but at the same time still did not fully understand why his parents felt that way. Tobi is nearly a genius and because of that he is always several grades ahead of what kids his age should normally be in. By time he reached his final year in school he had gone through so much bullying and been picked on so much by the older kids for being smaller and younger than them and naturally weaker than them he turned to his pokemon battling skills for protection becoming ruthless in battle and can come across as rude to weaker trainers. When Tobi does meet a person t he is very friendly in his own ways. He likes to be competitive with friends as well as a very loyal friend. Tobi does have a soft spot for people and pokemon that show a fiery passion because they remind him of himself and can be seen dropping his walls a little and becoming a caring person in his own way. When Tobi finds himself in a losing situation he often withdraws from whatever the situation is, claiming it was a waste of his time or pointless, though after sometime he reflects and is harsh on himself for not preforming up to his absurd standards. This habit comes about from Tobi's greatest fear, the fear of being weak. Deep down Tobi does have the ability to be kind and caring but it is just masked by his coping mechanisims he has developed over his past. People who know Tobi the best often are understanding of his emotions and despite his sometimes harsh attitude towards them often help him. Maybe one day Tobi can meet a friend or a rival that can teach him and help him let go of his past and to stop being angry and uptight. Tobi does love himself some blueberry waffles.
Goals: To become the greatest pokemon trainer of all time, anything less would be a disappointment.

Ryan jumped back with haste, landing bent over with his left hand planted in the ground and balanced himself from falling. His right hand had reached back behind him in the air clenching his staff.
"Phew that was too close to call. I can't risk rushing in there headfirst", he said to himself as he stared down the Fire Golem in front of him. In his moment time seemed to be at a standstill; he was calm, collected and focused. It was almost as if he was in another zone analyzing the Fire Golem's weakness, and then it stuck him! "Aha! There it is", he shouted in discovery of the Fire Golem's weak point. He had discovered that when the Fire Golem rises his arms to attack there is a gap. If he could land a direct hit he thought, he should be able to defeat this troublesome monster once and for all. The Fire Golem let out a fearsome battle cry and rushed towards him the ground trembling beneath it's massive and heavy feet. Ryan stood up straight holding his staff in both hands in front of him as he closed his eyes to gather himself. He could hear the crackles of the immense flames that the Fire Golem was emitting from it's body. Still with his eyes closed he waited, patiently in the face of his enemy. Picking up speed the Fire Golem lifted up both its arms and clenched its hands together to smash Ryan into the ground.
"Now! Ice Spire"! Ryan shouted with all his might, channeling all of his magic into his staff and slamming it to the ground with force. A thick sheer spike of ice shot up from the ground and stabbed the Fire Golem right under it's arms stopping it in its tracks. The Golem screamed and shouted in it's deep thunderous and monstrous voice, as the boulders that made up it's body crumbled to the ground. It was over Ryan looked both ways to make sure no more enemies where approaching and calmly walked past the golem continuing his way to Azor Castle as if nothing had happened, he was determined and on a mission. He would be the one to reach Azor Castle first, nothing would stop him!

Spoiler:
Zaira Montes
Age: 17 Gender: Female
Zaira's goal is to overcome her biggest fear of losing. If she wants to "become the best she could be", she must overcome her anxieties and test the waters of what a Pokemon Trainer is all about.
Appearance
At 5'9 and 135 pounds, Zaira thinks this isn't an average body for her. But she manages to deal with it. She's 17 years old, though many people would think she's older than 17, more like 20 or 21. She's the tallest of her family, even taller than her Aunt, whom she currently lives with. With her interest in rock music, heavy metal, and "scream-o", her style is tough and punky, with a dash of girl power. She has pale white skin, easy enough for her to sunburn.
Zaira likes wearing black-colored clothing, and black make-up, especially eyeliner. But this is not an everyday thing! On some days, she'll wear a different-colored t-shirt, mainly green or white, or a colored tee with her favorite band. Blue jeans is her best friend, she'll wear any type of jeans (pants, shorts, skirts) any day. Her preferred "everyday" style is a tight black short-sleeved shirt, a jean-styled short skirt, black knee-high socks, and white casual shoes with black laces. This is usually when she's out and about. On days when she's in town and in school, she wears skinny blue jeans.
The only part of her that's not black is her hairstyle. She has naturally bright pink hair. Her hair length is down to the back, but it is up to her shoulders when she makes two ponytails on the side, with black ponytail balls in each. In terms of makeup, she wears eyeliner and mascara, and pink lip gloss...you'll hardly notice it. Her friends in school describe her as someone not really into fashion, but to her...she considers her style "in".
Personality
Laid-back, calm, lax. Those are the three words you can describe Zaira. People would describe Zaira as a loner, based on her style of clothing, and her punkerish style. But she is very, very vibrant. She doesn't like to stay quiet. She likes to speak her mind, she'll mainly be the first to talk when she's with a group of friends. Basically, she'll just go on and on. On the downside though, Zaira has some anxiety issues. Nothing too severe, though...but she gets a bit nervous when trying out new things, which includes starting a journey. But she know hows to tolerate it by calming herself down. She doesn't like to be around large crowds of people, it bothers her a bit that she'll stay away from them. Alongside her issue, she can be a bit clumsy. As a result, she likes to take in any challenge and take a risk without seeing the side effects...no matter how crazy, dangerous or horrible they are.
Zaira never cared for school, but she is very studious. She would rather hang out with her friends rather than study for an exam the night before the day of the test. Who knows how she manages to pass a few of her exams (and easily fail a few :P). Her aunt pretty much shares the same personality with her, so it makes sense as to where her habits come from. In terms of Pokemon, and journeying, she hates being competitive. All Zaira wants is to befriend all of the Pokemon she meets, because she deeply cares for all of them. She'll do anything to help a sick and injured Pokemon, whether it'd be hers or not. At battle, she won't yell, scream, hesitate. She'll be calm, chill, and relaxed, even when losing. Bragging about winning isn't her thing, as it will make her look bad. If a trend of winnings tend to occur in her, she'll start to brag without even realizing about it.
History
A native Unovan, Zaira was born in Accumula Town and raised in Iccirus City. Her mother died giving birth to her. She has no clue of who her father is. So as a result, her aunt had decided to take her in and raise her. Zaira is the granddaughter of Gym Leader Pryce of Mahogany Town. So basically, she grew up with ice, snow, the cold, and ice Pokemon. She's not a fan of the weather, nor the Ice-Type Pokemon, but she's grown to get used to it.
At 13 years old, Zaira started to learn about Pokemon and battling and became very interested in becoming a trainer herself. She wanted to start her journey across Unova, but her preoccupied aunt won't allow her due to her lack of studying and slipping grades in school. One summer, instead of dreaming of journeying across the region, she decided to visit her grandfather Pryce in Mahogany Town to learn more about Pokemon and battling. He once told Zaira that one day she'll have to take over the Mahogany gym, and he knows that she'll be a great Pokemon trainer and reach the top. Her ambition towards becoming a leader of the gym increases inside of her.
After that talk, as well as some training, she refocused on schoolwork once again for the next few years. Fast forward to 17 years old, and Zaira visited the Iccirus Gym with her aunt to watch a Gym Leader battle. It was Brycen versus a trainer from Kanto. She cheered for the trainer battling, but he ended up losing to Brycen in the end. After the battle, Zaira's aunt offered her to go off on a journey to become a Pokemon trainer. Zaira became very excited. Her effort in her schoolwork and studies have finally paid off. But...on one condition. She can't travel till she graduates from school.
And so she did. At 17 years old, she graduates from High School. More mature, and well educated, Zaira finally has all the time for herself to travel the path towards becoming a Pokemon trainer, and hopefully take Pryce's place as Gym Leader in the near future. Right now, she wants to know what it's like to be a trainer. Raising Pokemon, battling Pokemon, and caring for them. It's a new responsibility for her. Her aunt allowed her to travel in any region, but encouraged her to travel in Johto to challenge Pryce. She rejected the offer and has decided to set sail to Kanto. Zaira can only expect a wonderful experience as a first-time trainer.
"Uhhhhgh. I don't feel so good." Woken up after the boat crashed a short wave, Zaira Montes, originally from Iccirus City in Unova, was trying to sleep on a bench while the boat was in motion. She's not used to traveling on boat, though this is not the first time she's ever traveled. She has traveled to Johto on boat before. But this boat ride was quite unpleasant and her temptation to vomit was rising slowly. Though she's trying not to. She didn't want to cause commotion, nor create an embarassing show of her throwing up. Or, at least that's what she thought of in her mind. Zaira at least calmed down a bit, and her nausea was lowered by taking a sip of water from her bottle.
The ocean breeze was a bit more cooler than when she left Iccirus this morning. Her clothes, a black short-sleeved t-shirt with a picture of a white guitar, a short jean skirt, knee-high socks, and black flat shoes were perfect for this type of weather, but she'll want to take off the socks when she gets off the boat. She wants to feel her toes in the sand. What is Pangaea really like? What will these citizens react to Zaira? These and other questions are orbiting Zaira's mind at the moment. Of course, she's heard so much about it on the news, and at school. She was surprised her aunt Marcie allowed her to explore this "wonderful" region. Let's hope it's wonderful, as Zaira's aunt mentioned.
As Zaira wanted to take another look at the ocean, the boat's horn honked. Zaira shrieked, startled, and fell to the ground. She wasn't expecting the horn to be too loud.
"We have now arrived at Amphipolis, Pangaea. Thank you for riding with us and have a nice day!" The Captain of the boat said via intercom.
"Pangaea??" Zaira said, getting up from the ground. "Finally! I've made it!" She got uncontrollably excited, by trying to exit off the boat with the rest of the passengers. As she tried to, she immediately realized..."Oh darn...my bag!"
With her two pink ponytails on the side waving while she passes through the exiting crowd and hesitantly tried to get her bag back, she spots the boat crew sweeping, cleaning, and picking up trash left on the boat deck. She then saw her black leather bag on the bench where she sat during her whole trip. Slowly, she grabbed it...checked to see if she had everything, including her water bottle, and slowly left.
"Don'cha forget your belongings, little lassie!" Out of nowhere, the captain of the boat approached to Zaira. She froze a bit as he approached, thinking he might catch her stealing a purse. But it is actually her purse. Zaira grinned at the captain, and without saying anything, she walked away. The captain smiled and waived at Zaira as she walked off the boat.
The bright sun shined on the town of Amphipolis. The citizens here wore extremely different clothing, even more different than what Zaira is currently wearing. Zaira felt she would be left out of place, but she's from another region. How bad would it be? Zaira, holding her bag with both hands below her abdomen instead of over her shoulder, walked fast, past the former boat passengers and the residents of the city. The rocky pavement made it difficult to walk. As the crowd began to die down quick, Zaira was able to see the actual city again. She couldn't wait to began exploring, but...
"Zaira!" an old lady shouted at her. Zaira turned. She saw the old lady and a younger woman waving from afar. She smiled lightly and walked up towards them.
"You...are looking for me? How do you know my name?" Zaira asked, shyly.
"Why certainly, of course." The old lady said. "I recognize you from your bright pink hair. No one in Pangaea has bright pink hair like you. It's so beautiful and it matches the bright sun."
"Thank you...I guess." Zaira chuckled a bit and smiled. "You must be the professor, right?"
The old lady nodded. "I am Professor Cypress, Zaira. Pokemon Professor of Pangaea. And this is my assistant. She will assist me in officially donning you a Pokemon Trainer."
"Hiya!" The assistant greeted, holding a brown briefcase.
"Nice to meet you two. You...can't tell I am so excited to be a trainer myself." Zaira said. "Pokemon runs within my family, and since I was 13 years old I wanted to be a trainer."
"I heard Pryce, the Mahogany Gym Leader, is your grandfather, is that correct?" The assistant asked Zaira nicely.
"He is, in fact!" Zaira grinned excitedly. "I've visited him numerous times, especially in the summer. He's ecstatic that I'll be going to travel this gorgeous region, and one day I'll be able to challenge him."
"I'm glad you have some 'gym leader' roots in you, Zaira. Many gym leaders start off with a starter Pokemon, and building your team. And that's what you'll be doing." Professor Cypress turned to her assistant. "Open the briefcase, please."
"Way ahead of you, Professor." The assistant opened the briefcase. It contained six Pokeballs, a Pokedex, and a trainer's card. Five of the PokeBalls were empty, while one actually had a Pokemon in it. Professor Cypress took out the Pokeball that had the Pokeball, and glanced at it. He smiled and hands it to Zaira.
"This is your starter Pokemon." she starts to explain. "You may get along, you may fight, you will encounter many, many hardships while being a new trainer yourself. I believe in you, Zaira. I know you'll be able to get through as a trainer. I know you'll make it to the top. You seem like a bright girl, and no I'm not talking about your hair."
"I appreciate that, Professor." Zaira replied. "Seeing these items in the briefcase is making me want to take them and run." She laughed softly, then she glanced over at the Pokeball that was handed to. "May I open to see which Pokemon I have?"
"Certainly, of course!" Professor Cypress grinned. Zaira threw the Pokeball up in the air. As the ball was up above, a white ray aimed right next to Professor Cypress. A small ladybug-like Pokemon appeared, smiling, excited. It immediately grinned at Zaira. Her eyes started to sparkle as she saw this Pokemon for the very first time. It was love at first sight. "Zaira, this is your starter Pokemon, Ledyba."
"It's... it's..." Zaira went speechless for a second. "It's so beautiful! Honestly, it's better than what I expect."
"Beee bee beee!" Ledyba cheered.
"Glad you like it, Zaira." The assistant commented.
"Now that I've gotten the starter Pokemon settled, which I'm surprised she likes you already, I'm going to hand you the Pokedex." She took out the Pokedex, and hands it (along with the instruction manual) to Zaira. "Use it to record any Pokemon information when you see them. It's like an encyclopedia." Then, she hands her five empty Pokeballs. "Here are your balls. Use them to catch Pokemon. You can only carry six Pokemon in your party."
"I understand, Professor!" Zaira said, though she didn't listen to the last part about catching Pokemon. She did know that the pokeballs were about catching Pokemon. "I am just too happy right now. I can't wait to start!" She throws her Pokeballs and the Pokedex in her bag.
"Hold on, Zaira!" Professor Cypress detained her right before she started to run. "You need your Trainer Card too. Can't go off without it." Cypress handed Zaira a small rectangular card. She glances at, as the reflection of the sun hits the card. "Use this card to take advantage of the free services many Pokemon Centers offer all across the region. Trust me, you don't want to lose this card, as it is irreplaceable."
Zaira grinned as she placed her card inside the small pocket of her black leather bag. "I feel like a trainer already. Thank you for everything, Professor Cypress."
"Zaira, you are a trainer." Professor Cypress smiled. "I wish you the best of luck in your journey across Pangaea. Take good care of yourself, and please keep in touch if you can. I would love to hear about your precious journey!"
Ledyba was eager to go with Zaira, as she started to close her bag and started to walk. "Bee bee beeee!"
"I will soon! Thank you, Professor, and I'll see you soon!" Zaira walked off, waiving at the Professor and the assistant. Both of them waved in return.
Entering city limits, Zaira stopped for a second...and turned to her Ledyba, following her, and without saying anything. There were a few townspeople walking around, either buying from shop stands or talking to other people. Zaira obviously didn't feel fit, and starts to feel a bit nervous as she saw a few people staring at her. Maybe it's her pink hair...or the way she is dressed. She ignored and turned to her Ledyba. "You seem quiet. Pokemon are usually....talkative."
"Bee beeeeee." The Ledyba replied, floating next to her. "Bee beeeee bee."
"I should call you Bee. Even though you're...not a bee." Zaira said, "But that's your cry, so it makes sense, yes?" Zaira smiled.
"Bee bee beeee!" Bee, the newly named Ledyba flew and hugged Zaira happily. Then she hugged her in return. "You're so nice and cuddly...I know we're both going to have a great time here in this land..."
