How old were you when you first got into the series?

I'd say I was 'around' 15 when I got into Pokemon. I found a copy (very luckily) of Fire Red at a pawn shop, and since I was really getting into RPG-type games at the time, decided to give it a try! Been playing ever since.
 
I have been a fan since basically as far as I can remember. I was probably 3 when the anime came out, and because my 8 year old sister was a fan of Pokemon, I grew up watching the show, getting merchandise, all that. I can't even think of a time I wasn't a fan.
 
11 1/2 years old in 1999 with the Red/Blue GB fresh off the shelves. The perfect age at the perfect time (maybe!).
