:/ Many things about this place are long gone. I don't think that just because you post like a million threads in OVP that you'll get the position. Just look at Jack O'Neill. Used to be one of the top freaking posters ALL the time in OC, and never got modded.

Modship isn't a big deal anyways. I was mod of OC and it was just pretty much the same thing only slightly more tedious. I enjoyed it more when Matt was a mod there. He's a cool guy.

Edit: Personally I don't think Nica's mature at all. She's got charisma, but not maturity. Pachy, I find you to be much more mature than her, which does make a bit of sense because you are older and probably have better judgement on situations. Not a freshman so you have experienced more and know how to deal with more people.
Nica gets involved in too much drama, as she said so herself, and that's probably mainly why she wouldn't be suitable for a position. Whether other people think she's mature or not, this is a big problem she has to fix before she can actually be considered for a position as mod.

Being mod isn't actually a big deal. Trust me I've been there.

Dangit, Everyone tells me that. o.o Even Siggy told me once that I'd be an awesome mod.

My problem mainly is probably that I've pissed off too many upper staffies by being myself. xD
That and I seriously friggin vanish too damn much ;o; (CURSE YOU CRUEL LIFE!!)

Yeah that was my problem why I got demoted. Porfolio for college and university applications got the better of me. But it was worth it cause now I'm at an awesome school and I wouldn't have it any other way.

And yeah I agree with Chris but I don't know about the staffies thing. I don't know half of them anyways. I'm sad that Jorge left SA position cause he was really great. It's okay though cause he's admin at another place that I frequent now. They got some cool admins there. One of them works for Nintendo and posts up awesome pictures of his workplace and some pubs that he goes to.

I met my pair there, a while ago, too. Coaxed him to come on here so that we can all talk via VM or PM at times. He's the best! He's hopefully coming to visit this summer <3

Joined PC (at school), about 6 months later, they blocked PC (at school). >O
Get an internet connection, about 3 years later, I lose my job and cant afford it anymore. x3
I'm fortunate...my aunt and uncle have a computer and a DSL connection. not my first choice, but hey..it works. :D

I hope that this time I can stick around on PC

Yeeeahh blocking sites can seem annoying. Losing a job sucks but at least you got something out of it still.

For me it's just schoolwork. My course is just crazy hard and they work us like dogs. At the end of this year we'll have finished a short animated featurette with a group and are gonna have to do an independent one next year, too.

So you've been at PC for a long while? :/ Maaannngg.. Vets are pretty awesome.

The game industry may be booming, but that's because Nintendo forgot to man the shovelware gates.
And that's how it is for most systems, save the PS3, cause the PS3 never releases any games :/

It's way too late for me to be throwing an MSN party. I'm just waiting for a certain sexy someone to return home safely from a night out with the guy-friends.

Luck: I'm talking about the game industry in general. Iphone games, Leapfrog games, Xbox games. You get into that business and you'll never have to worry about finding a job!

And I heard game developers got paid mediocre sums only, unless they're big like Bethesda or Blizzard :/

I dunno what shovelware gates are..

And.. I'm not talking about developers. There's much more to games than just developing. Art Directors, TDs, Lighters, Environment Artists, Concept Artists, Management Peoples, Production Designers, Engineers, and then the obvious Programmers, Developers, etc..

There is so much that goes into it.

I dunno about Blizzard but Ubisoft pays $20 an hour for just their summer internship artists..
