174153. Gurren Lagann, CLANNAD, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya all are good. But CLANNAD had a relatively lower quality English dub. And, of course, there's always reading the Mahou Sensei Negima! manga series. :3

Gantz and Elfen Lied are also awesome if you can get past the incredible violence and nudity(two sex scenes in Gantz), but they would be awesome even if they took all of that out. Gantz is pretty much all action in the beginning, but it gets really good in the manga where there are great amounts of character development and plot twists. Elfen Lied is just an amazingly well done depressing story.
