"To put it scientifically...we need to blow its brains out its ass." -Augustus Cole "Train"
"We're brothers, baby, and brothers don't leave brothers behind." - Cain 'ChooChoo' Marshall
Cain is, as the quote would suggest, an air-headed, gung-ho fighter. One can typically find the red-clad warrior fighting mobs in the deepest reaches of the current floor. He has an odd love for fighting mobs and bosses. And fighting in general. In fact, when a boss's location is announced, he'll be among the first at the door. He played rugby before SAO, and his love for the intensity of the sport seemed to carry over. Whenever one sees Cain fighting, they're sure to hear a lot of bad one-liners like, "Sorry, baby! This Train's full speed!", or maybe, "I don''t have time for punks like you!" Cain's hyperactive personality is evident throughout all of his activities. He flits to and fro when he's in town, bothering practically everyone one with his 'pep talks' and incessant questions on where to find the best mobs. But he doesn't seem to care. He thinks he's doing the right thing.
Cain's rugby team mentality makes him develop a strong sense of comeradery. As goofy and air-headed as he may seem, Cain loves those he considers his friends. He views each and every player as a valuable asset to completing the game, especially the support roles. He knows that without the blacksmiths, there would be no awesome swords to knock the baddies down. He generally cares for everyone around him, he just has an odd way of showing it. He'll give you an unnecessarily hard pat on the back, a "That's right, baby!" or a "HELL YEAH!" When it comes down to it, there couldn't be very many people you would want to have beside you in a fight. Cain has a stereotypical jock's point of view, minus the superiority complex. When asked if he thinks he's the best he'll say, "There's always a bigger fish...even bigger than a shark."
History: Cain was born into your typical suburban family in the USofA. His father was a car salesman, his mother a stay-at-home mom. He never wanted for anything, nor did he have excess. He was smack-dab in the middle. He wasn't quite an idiot
Only he would tell you that but he wasn't a genius. He was smack-dab in the middle. Cain wasn't really good at anything, but he didn't let that bother him. He tackled life with the same amount of enthusiasm that he would later tackle his opponents. He knew that some day he'd be the best at something. And that something was rugby. Cain discovered rugby upon entering high school. He signed up, thinking he would be cast out of the team immediately. He did a bit of exercises to bulk up a bit before, and it turns out it payed off. He did very well at the tryouts and made the team.
At this point, Cain's life became a blur. He spent his time watching rugby, playing rugby, and training for rugby. It became his life, and he loved it. He refused to let it go to his head, having remembered the dunce he once was. This humble-ish attitude and his natural talent lead him many places, including several national tournaments. In between all of his rugby, Cain became a bit of a closet nerd, playing all sorts of older games like Pokemon, Halo, Mass Effect, and Gears of War, where he received the inspiration for his SAO name. Cain chose Cole Train, a famous 'thrashball' player, as his role model. The fictional sport was close to rugby, and Cole was like Cain: Capable and enthusiastic. And he kicked ass.
Cain bought SAO within hours of its release, having been one of those who waited in lines for hours. He signed on as soon as he got home and did all the 'boring setup junk' as soon as he could. Upon his first arrival in Aincrad, he was amazed. He spent the majority of his first few days running around and socializing with everyone he could. He viewed it as a platform for meeting as many friends as he could, and kicking ass with as many of them as were willing. When Kayaba fateful announcement came out, he was more excited than scared. Now he had a reason to fight. Now he could be a hero and save the day. Cain's only reaction was, "HELL YEAH, BABY! LET'S DO THIS THING!"

Sword arts:
The Cain Train - Grey: Cain's sword glows a steel grey when he holds his sword across his heart vertically. This is more of an altered state than it is an attack. Cain takes 25% less damage than he would normally, and he deals 50% more damage than a regular player with his blade. During this Sword Art Cain grows even more reckless and violent. He becomes an unpredictable entity, capable of killing everything around him. He only uses this Sword Art when its absolutely necessary.
The Bullet Train - Dark Grey: Cain's blade glows a darker grey when pointed directly in front of him. This attack is a single thrust combined with a charge. If the attack connects, it impales the target for a moment before the blade is pulled out. The target suffers 25% more damage than a regular attack and begins to suffer bleeding damage. The attack, however, is unwieldy and difficult to land.
