I technically didn't have to take PE in 12th grade, but I did. It's one class I really don't miss now that I'm in college though. I'm not really a sports/active/outside person. XD

...why is my school the only one that requires freshman to take PE in college? XD

Anyway, we also had to take it all four years of high school. But senior year, I only had it twice a week. One day a week was actual PE and the other was just health, so it wasn't that bad anyway. We were supposed to have it four days a week, but one of the PE teachers had just retired the year before and they didn't have enough left to cover my entire graduating class along with all the other students in the school~

They just didn't do it in 12th grade. If you failed it in 11th grade you just had to do it over and over until you passed.

That's odd. :/ I thought most schools would let you take it in 12th grade still.

No clue. Maybe they value it more than the other schools do.

That doesn't sound bad at all; I wouldn't mind that.
I haven't seen four years required at high school; the most I've seen required is two years, and that was at my first high school. ._.; The other schools were 1.5 for PE and .5 for Health, including the one I'm at right now. That's why I had to retake Health.

...I can't believe I haven't finished my essay yet. *sigh*

I have a friend that has to take PE at her college, so don't think that you're alone, Ashley. XD

I think Virginia requires two years in high school. After that you can take it as an elective, I think. Can't remember. XD

At my high school we have to take PE twice a week for the first three years, then you take it at least once a week unless you're doing it for GCSE in the two final years. If that's the case you have it four hours a week. One of them being a lecture. Ugh. x_x

PE isn't one of strongest subjects. My favourite aspect of it is running. I'm pretty good and it and I used to be one of the best in my form. I don't particularly like playing football or rugby, and never put myself down to be in the teams. I just think the game is stupid and I never enjoy myself. There's always a group of people who are better it than you and it's usually "you should have passed to me! What were you thinking?" I hate that so I usually stand back away from all the action.

At the moment it's me and a small group of friends playing badminton. Before half-term we were in the gym with weights and stuff-- that was pretty fun, actually. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I was going to.

I'm glad I won't be doing PE after this year, though~

I hated doing it at my old school. You had to do it twice a week (i don't know how many a week it was for people who were going it for GCSE), and i hated it. I don't mind group work when you're having a discussion, but when it's kicking a ball around for 45 minutes, then it just gets boring. The only sport i liked was swimming, because you got to work on your own. When i was in year 8, i stayed off school loads on the days that i had PE. That shows how much i hated PE.

I'm glad I don't have to take PE. I'm not the type they can get out and run and do all sort of back flips and stuff. XD
I know I should get out and do something, but I'm the inside type, it's a pain for me to get out and run or play sports or whatever. It's not that I'm bad at them, it's just I'm not as fit as I should be (and that might have something to do with me never getting out XD).

I'm not in near as good of shape as I used to be. I guess college can do that to you though. I used to lift weights and run long distance on an almost daily basis because I played baseball, rugby, football and ran cross country throughout high school. With my workload and everything here at college, I just don't work out nearly as much as I did. Hopefully I can get back in shape over the summer. We'll see though... XD

Well, When I was in HS I joined my schools MCJROTC program instead of PE, and It was actually more tolerable than PE. We drilled, performed in color guards and even fired rifles.
I was always the type to run around like an idiot, unable to stand still (I lift a 20 Lb. weight while I use my computer or watch TV). So I really enjoy any physical programs.

OMG, PE. My favourite class at school. We used to do it twice a week in the first three years and once a week in the final two. We used to do one sport for six weeks before switching to something else. We covered a lot of sports; soccer, tennis, badminton, cricket, dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, athletics and a couple of other games. Loved them all, it was the only subject I really enjoyed doing all the time.

What annoyed me, though, was that this was the lesson that had the highest truancy rate in our school. People would turn up to every single class and be bored out of their minds, but they chose not to turn up to the one class when they always got to play games, choosing to hide out in the restrooms instead. I really never understood that.

I have gym everyday until I'm out of high school, my state makes it manditory XD I like gym and all and I don't see why people would skip it, I just don't like the CV system we have. We have to get 12 cardio vascular actvities in by the end of the quarter and our gym classes are huge so it's hard to get into them. Luckily I have only three more to go before the end of the quarter.

We're doing volleyball, my favorite sport right now =D

I'm not really athletic at all, but I adored PE, we had such an awesome teacher. We were the bottom class, none of us possessed any real skill, yet he believed in us. He was so funny, very sarcastic at times, and not afraid to put us in our place. He used to call us "Wren;s Superstars" and make us play against the top class, if we started loosing he;d join our team XD
PE got boring after he retired, our other teacher was an idiot.

EW. P.E.
I hate P.E because I have to change, get sweaty, and then change again >: Luckily, only freshmen have to take P.E. I do wish I was more athletic, but to be truely honest, on first sight, one would tell me 'You look pretty athletic' because I'm pretty slim, but really, I'm as slow as a fat person on crutches XD Go and take forensics instead (b'-')b

P.E. ish the most awful~est class ever! ;o; I hate always getting so sweaty and icky. Only good part about P.E. is that you don't get any homework, tests and such. And when it comes to running or sports... you could call me an "athletically disabled child". I probably run slower than the fat kids, and then I get so many asthma reactions when I run. It's so annoying. @_@
Changing is also quite terrible, especially if you're a little overweight and there are so many girls changing that the locker room is crowded with thin girls. ._.;

I honestly think I could do well in PE class, I just...don't...

I'm kinda athletic, but really choose only to participate when we're playing Dodgeball, or anything else closely related to it...

We get PE twice every fortnight.. and I dont really enjoy it. The classes are too big and the teams always uneven. Yeah, and I'm not that good at a number of the sports we play so it kinda makes it less fun.
