I agree sooo strongly with this! They're all magnificent in their own ways. Other than Magikarp...

When you think about it, all moves that Magikarp can have all have uses in a Contest, unlike in battles, so... Yeah, Magikarp, too.

Yup, Dragonite should be since in one game, it was hinted by an NPC that dragonite was the Guardian of the Sea....in PMD I believe...

I already knew that, yet even so, it was used by games, and I even confused the poor dragon as a water-type myself. I was just stating a fact however, not that it means much.

I also wished Relicanth could have gotten an evolution, but I don't know if they were to make it quite soon...I hope, but I can't really imagine how the generation 6 pokemon will look like.... :cer_confused:

From experience, Corsola. I'm currently using it to achieve Master Rank Beauty in my Diamond. I'm not sure about Milotic being good in a Beauty Contest. Oh and Marill and Quagsire are splendid choices for Cute Contests too. :D

I always use Milotic in the Beauty Contest. :D I think it's pretty good.

The pokemon I deem best would be Milotic. Sure, it's overused and such for contests, but from what I witnessed in the anime, Milotic seems to be the best. Now, as for personal taste...I would have to say Kingdra would do an amazing job being a dragon/water pokemon.

@Dual Blade: Make some suggestions and I might be able to approve them. Or like miakalina stated, just VM me to plan it out or som....

I think we should put up a poll of event ideas and let the members decide? ^_^

I'm thinking Contest in the anime context and not game (didn't like the game contests that much). A Wailmer obviously (duh) or Lumineon, I can think up so many combinations using Wailmer's roundness and Lumineon's likeness to a butterfly

I love the water-club fanfic idea! I can only suggest that it have a sort of limit? I'd hate to suggest that, since a writer could get very attached and keep going with it (if they do it'd be great and they could post it in the fanfiction thread), but the contest would last a long time if it wasn't a short story contest. xD

I think it's fair to say any pokemon can do well in a contest with the right amount of coordination, friendship, and teamwork between trainer and pokemon.

Their line is adorable tome as well. Ignore the pichu, but the Wooper and Quagsire are cute. :cer_blush: They help me get through HeartGold though, so they're quite strong...

yeah, but he always hangs out in the water just like lugia. their basically both guardians of the sea. in blacks pokedex too, it says he "guides ship crews to shore and is sometimes called "guardian of the sea" :)

I dunno if this was mentioned about the fanfic but what about if we do a kind of Mystery Dungeon style fanfic where we take the roles of our partner Pokemon. I dunno. It seems like a good idea for me.

I think Contests are more like in the anime so I'm thinking there's a lot Magikarp could do. I mean just splashing in one spot would make the water splash everywhere and it'd be all shiny like everything in the Contest Halls

Battles = explosions, Contests = sparkles
