You could definitely have some fun with Gengar, that's for sure.

Which Poison-type would I have? Well that's easy, it'd be Gulpin! It's such a little cutie and wouldn't taste half as bad as most of the standard Poison-types you hear about, and I'm pretty sure you'd be able to use its huge empty body for some kind of storage! Then when it evolves into Swalot you can have countless hours of fun trying to shape his moustache as awesomely as possible; endlessly fun pet to have ♥

... SMELL. Oh god what a bad typo. XD Grimer and stuff are all quoted as smelling terrible to be around, but Gulpin has all the poison inside of him so it'll all be cool :D

Bahaha, that's amazing. Ok, that makes more sense.Yeah, Grimer and Muk smell extremely bad, but if Gulpin is containing all of the bad stuff instead of just being it, then it would probably be fine.

What Poison-type Pokémon would you own if you could own one?

Muk. Easy.

And live by a nuclear powerplant or factory.

1) Muk would eat up all the waste

2) Muk would become insanely strong.

It'd essentially be as if I were feeding him Rare Candies 24/7.

I'd just have to make sure that he didn't go rogue or else I'd end up with The Blob.

If it's contaminated with nuclear waste, wouldn't it be more... dangerous? Well, maybe not to Pokémon, but perhaps human beings like us. xD" If it touched latter in some way, I'm sure they would be reacting much differently than former.

Muk stinks, end of story.

No, literally. I like Muk but I wouldn't want to own one for that reason. I guess you'd get used to it, but still, I'd rather not have to :P

I was talking about Beedrill with someone the other day, owning one of those might make for a fierce intimidator (is that a word? spell check in my browser is telling me no) if someone is giving me a hard time :P

Pfft, why go for an annoying buzzy bug when you could have a Drapion? Those things are the pure definition of fearsome, no one would even think about crossing you if you had a massive pet scorpion of death that could kill them in a single glance. Just look at how threatening they are:

Spoiler:

See, scary :o

Speak of the devil

I thought about Drapion too. He's pretty awesome, one of my faves from Gen IV. Never did use one though, perhaps I should give him a try.

Also, yes, very scary.

I cringed with terror.

Drapion would definitely be a helpful companion, but I never really thought about it.

I still would prefer Dustox. Yes, I actually decided, and no, Hell didn't freeze over. Between Arbok and Dustox, and having only one, I'd rather have Dustox. I'd hug her, and put bows on her antenna, and she would perch (do bugs perch? They do now, I guess) on my shoulder and I could take care of her a lot easier than a giant cobra.

Don't judge me, you totally would want an adorable Toxic Moth to ride on your shoulder.

Yup, and it's name is Venomoth :P

I actually do like Dustox, I was a fan of it in Ruby as a kid for some reason. But honestly, I prefer Venomoth. Call me a Genwunner.

Venomoth isn't that bad, but Dustox is a lot more memorable for me, personally, as it was Jessie's go-to Pokémon in Advanced Generation of anime and had appeared in almost every single episode. If it were former, though, then I'm sure I would've felt the same way about it.

That's understandable. I didn't watch the anime very much at that point (actually I never watched much after Johto honestly) so I didn't see much of that. But I still like Dustox so I can't really knock that at all (not like I could anyway :P ).

I would like to do two things.

1. Join

Name: Fenice
Pick two Poison-type Partner Pokémon: Tentacruel, Skuntank
Reason(s) for liking Poison-types: Became a Poison type gym leader on Showdown and soon grew to love them.
Answer to current topic: I'm a Venomoth fan =x Venomoth is almost sleeker than Dustox and dances better. Who doesn't want a Pokemon that can potentially stun, poison, or put to sleep all your enemies =3

2. If it's okay to ask. I can delete this part out later. I'm looking for a very special Stunky that I want to evolve into a Skuntank for my X Y game. Skuntank can learn both Sucker Punch and Pursuit in Heart Gold, Soul Silver, and Platinum. It's great for dealing with pesky Psychic type Pokemon in my Poison gym and I'd love it if someone would let me trade something for an iv bred adamant, Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Aftermath Stunky. :x It's a steep order though and no one really has as much want for this Stunky as I do x.x

Welcome! Dances better? Are you suggesting we do a Pokémon dance off?! :P

As far as the trade is concerned, I don't mind it being here, but I would post in the Trade Corner thread for the best chances of success.

I posted it both places, but it's just a really hard to get Stunky x.x Which is a shame since it's like the best Psychic counter in a Poison gym.

Oh I messed up. Actually xP I was referencing Quiver Dance, but I realized that both Pokemon get it. I'm actually surprised. Dustox doesn't get any of the powder moves o.o Erm. I don't actually use Dustox x.x Maybe that's the REAL reason why I like Venomoth better... :x I'm a terrible human being xP

I thought Dustox got Poisonpowder? *checks Serebii* That's not cool! Okay, Dustox just lost major points. I usually make it a point to carry a sleep inducer on my teams, something I started within the last couple of years. It makes Venomoth a great team member, I had one in HeartGold and a couple of FireRed playthroughs. So now it would be...Roselia (Roserade, I presume) or something that's not a Poison-type with Hypnosis (Ghastly wasn't available in RSE, sadly).

Yeah. Venomoth is surprisingly really amazing. And I mean in more ways than one... and competitively :x Venomoth's hidden ability makes status moves used against it have an accuracy of 50% so it can dodge status like crazy. It's also fast and learns Quiver dance and baton pass. So you'll often see Venomoth's with movesets like Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance, baton pass, bug buzz. Really amazing support. I don't really know about Dustox though :x

I've never tried using Venomoth, personally. Though, that does seem to be a pretty good set! I'll give it a try sometime if I'm able, and see how it all goes. Its defenses aren't very high, though, so I wonder how long it'd be able to survive?
