I am the champion!!!

Icruised through the elite four only losing Steelix and Simisage, however Diantha proved a different story. Mega gardevoir took out Gohitelle, and Blastoise and my Azumarill had an epic battle with it barely coming out on top, but a win is a win and I am happy to have completed this challenge victorius.

My houses ranked 1-4 in usefulness

#1 Gryffindor - hands down the most helpful house for me. 3 of my final team members were from that house including my two best pokemon Steelix and Azumarill, the whole set mode rule didnt bother me at all, because those two had such diverse movesets they usually won the whole battle. Conkelldur also proved to be a big help in the elite four taking out a few pokemon here and there especialy ohkoing Aurorus with a superpower.

#2 Hufflepuff - Blastoise was really the only Hufflepuff Ihave ever used but he was able tobe a big asset throughout almost the whole challenge, he had strength, surf and waterfall and was a key part to my elite four victory

#3 Ravenclaw - I had some good Ravenclaws, but none that ever made it much, Greninja was a good pokemon, but he fell mid playthrough, then Sliggoo came in and died accidently before really getting to do anything, Ravenclaw might've been #2 if Sliggoo had become a Goodra

#4 Slytherin - The level cap and not using it in the long stretch from 6th to 7th gym was brutal, not to mention Simisage never did anything except sit in the back of my team and spend alot of time in the PC

I'm still looking for that last Pokemon to fill in the slot before taking on the Elite Four. It used to be Sol, my Hufflepuff Kingler, but he died against Giovanni. It's difficult to figure out who should get his slot, especially since Sol was my HM dude.

Of this entire team, I would say that I rely on Ella the Raichu and Lars the Snorlax the most. Ella - who was a jaw-dropping appearance at Viridian Forest - has constantly saved this team's butt. Ever since we took a detour to the S.S. Anne to level her up before taking on Misty, she's been unstoppable. She just fries everything with her Thunderbolt.

It was a hard choice to evolve her, but ultimately the only one I could make. As a Pikachu, she was fragile. As a Raichu...she's still not the bulkiest, but she's bulkier. And this team needs Ella too much - I needed to give her that extra bulk.

As for Lars, I got him just before Koga and he has been a godsend. He destroys everything by bodyslamming it, and if he gets tired he just rests. And then continues to kick butt by sleeptalking. It's magnificent. He's so bulky - he just soaks everything up. Lars doesn't give a ----.

THE DORMS

Tonyo the Gyarados and Tomlin the Gloom, down below, are the only ones I've actually trained. The rest were catch-and-box. Unfortunately, they're too behind-level to consider carrying to the elite four - unless I want to grind again.

THE GRAVEYARD

And our dearly loved, dearly departed. Queenie the Raticate and Sol the Kingler were the deaths that hurt the most. Queenie, because I had just gotten her on Cycling Road and was blissfully spamming Hyper Fang - only to be hit in the face with Sludge. I had dreams for Queenie. I had plans for her to rule.

And Sol the Kingler, because I practically rush-raised him from childhood. I fished him up along the Tangela grass patch - the one from Pallet to Cinnabar - and I detoured in order to train him up. He carried HMs, yes, but he was more than my HM slave. He was my baby, whose Vice Grip could and did destroy countless Pokemon that got in our way.

He died an honorable death, battling Giovanni. And yet I wish it didn't end this way. I wish he could be with us in the Hall of Fame.

Unfortunately, that didn't come without a cost. I lost Gianna the Pidgeot to Bruno, Lars the Snorlax to Lance, and Regina the Nidoqueen to RIVAL.

We buried them in state, as befitting of League Champions, and then went off to the next great adventure - albeit soberly.

Thanks for this great challenge idea! I had a lot of fun. <3
