So I loved ATLA and LOK since I was a kid. I loved how they used the elements to control it. The storyline is really fantastic and I just loved it overall.

Anyways, there has no news yet of the last book or anything. But I am wondering about this.

Remember the really horrible and stupidly conceived movie adaptation of Book 1 of ATLA? What were your thoughts about it when you watched it? Do you think they will make a newer and better remake of the movie, one that isnt directed by M. Night Shamallamadingdong?

I actually haven't seen any part of the movie (except for trailers) so I can't put much input.

EDIT: And I was hesitant about watching the movie simply due to its reputation. Now I definitely know to avoid it.

I watch The Last Airbender movie almost every time it's on. Mostly cuz it's fun to laugh at. A good, hearty, bitter laugh. I wouldn't mind seeing Shyayahamdial do Book 2 and 3, but just for the lols. I don't want anyone else to try and redo it. Not everything thing that has a good plot and is well liked needs to have a movie made of it.

I only watched a few clips on youtube, and they were terrible. That and the fact that it is heavily criticized made me never watch it, and i probably never will. One of the clips i watched was Katara lifting up a bubble with her waterbending for a good 10 minutes or more, then she gets congratulated by Pakku, yes the great master of waterbending congratualted her, for lifting a bubble.

Okay, I know the movie is one of the worst movies ever made, and I make fun of it all the time, but I had a thought: is there anything you feel the movie didn't butcher? Like, look past the obviously terrible screenplay, acting, character development, special effects, etc., and is there at least something you didn't hate? For me, it was Shaun Toub's performance as Iroh. Though not stellar, he was easily my favourite part of the movie, and was at least tolerable. Though I feel the casting could have been better, I feel like this was the most faithful depiction of any of the characters. And that's saying a lot, cuz movie Iroh is waaaaaaay different than animated Iroh.

Maybe the only thing that I actually liked is how Zhao is still this pompous know it all who likes to brag on Zuko's face. They kinda stayed true to that somehow.

But in all seriousness, it is kinda hard to see the good in the movie when it is 90% inconsistent.

What are your thoughts on the Book 4 Trailer?

Korra cut her hair? For what purpose? Any significance? Not sure if I'll be able to get used to her new look - I've always preferred her longer hair. Moving on, I like how the Air Nomads are able to fly a la Emolga using that new suit with arm flaps. Looks like the rest of the benders are training or fighting for, or more likely, against something, by the looks of that army of green robots in alliance with looks like the Dai Li. Yeah, the Dai Li's presence is very strong in this one. Also, I wonder what's up with Korra and that metallic liquid that looks like the one that poisoned her in the previous season. That mysterious Earth bender... Also, Toph...?

Korra cutting her hair was something i wouldn't expect. i want to know what the reasoning is for it. Also, the new flying suits the Air nation has now is something neat. I am really interested in what happens when Korra finds Toph. It's been awhile since toph has been in any conversation. But its going to be interesting to see what happens in Book 4

omg Korra cutting her hair seems to like follow what Aang did in Book 3 of ATLA. Jinora's hair seems to be back and long :3 Also, Julee being a badass chick, must have been tired of Varrick's attitude, and is it Joaquin or something, the girl that was in the finale, she looks like to be the main antagonist, other than Korra, herself. I notice how she has long hair in the spirit world, I hope they would explain it. AND TOPH, AHHH She is like the only not yet dead character from ATLA that we havent seen talking to Korra.

Well i like the new flying suits for the airbenders also we all knew about Korras new hair do but idk why shes in disguise in my opinion its probably her trying to get back into shape. Also now jinoras hair is back but why isnt bolin and his girlfriend getting along? I hope they make up and cant wait for the next episode!

Yeah they got a lot of explaining to do. Interested to see what happened to the whole metal clan, who this new evil lady is and what happened with Opal's family/her and Bolin. What did they say, it's been three years? How has Korra been gone for so long?

I'm curious as to why Korra decided to go into hiding. The whole Opal and family thing kinda confused me. I'm guessing that was her artistic brother with the skrillex hair? (well now it's short)

The new airbender costumes are a little silly but I'll get used to it. It's good to see Jinora isn't looking like female Aang lol.
