2022 Game Discussion

These are the only ones I'm aware of right now. I'm sure more will be announced/confirmed at some point.

Pokemon Legends Arceus
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
Stray (cat game!!)
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Final Fantasy XVI (unknown if it'll actually come out next year)
Persona 6 (probably won't actually come out next year but it should be officially revealed at the end of the anniversary event of announcements or whatever you want to call it)
Sonic Frontiers (cautiously optimistic for it)
Pokemon 2022 game (likely Gen 9. I see no reason for another remake or for it to be anything else really)

and last... but certainly not least...

Digimon Survive (I SWEAR IF THIS DOESN'T COME OUT NEXT YEAR... I WILL... DO... SOMETHING... 😡)
 
Right now the only things I plan on getting in 2022 that I'm aware of existing are Elden Ring, the Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, and maybe Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Could probably go for some other things if they're announced or I'm made aware of something I previously wasn't, but otherwise that's it. Which is fine, I have plenty to play as is and dropped a bunch of money on a car nearly 2 weeks ago, so spending less $$$ on games would be good.

I have to make up for buying my ps5, hence why I am only getting the six games. I do plan on waiting for Forspoken to go on sale first before I jump in on that game as that is a new IP and I don't feel comfortable paying full price for something I might not enjoy.

From what I heard, it's 2022 at the earliest. Not guaranteed 2022. I'm with you on this one, it's the first time I've seen a Digimon game that actually looks good and that I want to play... but I wouldn't get your hopes up for it yet just to be safe.

As for me... new Genshin updates and Legends: Arceus are the only things I'm really that interested in off the top of my head. We'll see what the year brings though.
 
FF6 Pixel Remaster's coming out next year so that'll be my chance to finally get my hands on that and play it. I've been excited because 6 is one of those games that's been on my radar for years and years and years and to think that I'm actually going to play it from start to finish is wild.

Other than that, Elden Ring obviously. The Souls series is genuinely one of my favorites so seeing it come back in what Miyazaki sees as a more perfected form and, at the same time, isn't a contractual agreement this time around, is very exciting.

idk what else comes out next year but i'll have fun laughing at Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield

In case you didn't see one of the things I posted on the Discord... last week 'Digimon Con' was announced to be taking place on February 26th, 2022 (ironically the same week as Pokemon Day/the next Pokemon Presents more than likely but that's a different topic for another thread/day)

Where the promotion for it says they are showing off Digimon 'games' (PLURAL). It needs to be here. It needs to not be just more BS mobile games. It's practically my only hope. 😭
