Day 13: If you lived in the Pokémon world, what would you be?

I'd be a Professor. I'm not really an outdoorsy type of person, and I think I'd be more interested in cataloguing and researching Pokemon than making them battle or perform; being another run-of-the-mill trainer/co-ordinator/whatever out of millions.

Professors are small in number, they're at the forefront of discovery and new breakthroughs - often making them themselves - and I imagine the pay is a lot better, too. Plus I can stay indoors in a lab all day most days, and I've got plenty of variety in my career if I want it: I can teach classes, give talks on radio and TV, and I'd be well-connected...after all, everyone knows the Professor.

...I'm not actually THAT far off being able to use Professor as a title in real life either; in some places I'd already qualify because I have a Master's Degree. At the moment I'd be a highly-paid lab aide, but I'd be working towards being my own boss, as it were, doing a PhD and probably some other stuff on the side~

An Ace Trainer, probably. While I am a nerdish weirdo in this world, I know a lot about the Pokémon world, and am very knowledgeable in battling.

On the other hand, I myself could be a PokéManiac. Same reasons as Ace Trainer (except the battling stuff).

Or a Breeder. I like to breed Pokémon because I like the interesting results. Two of my Spearow hatched from eggs learn Fly and U-Turn.

Day 13 - I think I'd be a Pokémon Professor or a Gym Leader. I can't really think of a justification for it, but there it is.

Day 13: If you lived in the Pokémon world, what would you be?

As I mentioned in a previous post in this thread, I'm fairly indecisive so I can imagine being a bit like Serena in the sense that it would take a while for me to find my calling. However, I would prefer to research and take care of Pokemon as opposed to calling upon them for battle. I also have a Masters in which my thesis focused on animal mythology, so perhaps being a Pokemon Professor would be the most fitting position for me in that world.

I'd definitely be a Coordinator! I have always loved how beautiful contests looked in the anime, and one of my fave females from the series aka Dawn definitely made me like contests.

If possible, I'd like to be a gym leader; there's no Dark-type gym leader (yet) so it would be nice to fill in that void. Plus, I'm skilled at battling too.

If not, being a regular Pokémon trainer is fine by me.

Day 11 - If you were a Pokemon, what would you be?:

Probably a Porygon. I'm very attached to the computer, and would enjoy living in that type of world, away from humans.

Day 12 - Favorite Pokemon Move:

Tri-Attack. Never had a Pokemon that used it, but I do like that it's a Normal-type move that can inflict different status effects.

Day 13 - If you lived in the Pokemon world, what would you be?

An Ace Trainer. I don't want to just stay in one place, so I'd like to remain as a trainer to travel the world. I also like training my Pokemon, so they'll probably be stronger than they have need to be. And I like the pun of the trainer class for me.

I would definitely be a Slowking. And not just any Slowking, but specifically the one from the second Pokemon movie. Not only can he talk, but he has a bit of a dry sense of humor as well. Combine that with being fairly intelligent and being able to lounge around all day, and you've got yourself a winner.

Day 12 - Favourite Pokémon attack or move?
To be honest, I've never really had a favorite move. If I had to pick one, I guess it would be Metronome, just because of the sheer absurdity that can ensue because of it. Dazzling Gleam and Aurora Beam are some of the others I can think of off the top of my head as well.

Day 13 - If you lived in the Pokémon world, what would you be? (eg Trainer, Gym Leader, Breeder, Co-ordinator, etc)
I'd probably just be me, but with Pokemon.

I don't expect that my life would be all that different, since I'd just be happy enough to live in a world where Pokemon existed, and not have a career focused around it. I might enjoy doing Pokemon photography as a hobby though, and maybe make some money on the side from it.

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?

Probably Water-types! They're really versatile and so diverse so I would be able to find a team that covers each other's weaknesses pretty well. I'd probably use a mix of NFE and fully-evolved Pokémon just because haha. There'd be the possibility of using a Rain Dance team which would be fun to use, and I love using fast Pokémon so that would work well with some Swift Swimmers.

I also think it would be cool because there'd be a lot of options for a theme for the Gym. Underwater Battles maybe, with those breathing things they have in the anime? Having a Gym inside a cake with an underground river? So many possibilities! Being around Water-types in general, and around the water as well, would just be heaps of fun.

As an extra, I think my team might look something like Quagsire, Ludicolo, Politoed, Walrein, Gyarados and Lanturn. Lots of variety and some pretty cool Pokémon. Too many to choose from though tbh!

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?

I think I'd be most inclined to go with Steel-types. Some of my favourite Pokemon - Bastiodon, Steelix, Bronzong, etc - are Steel-typed and, whilst Ghost is my overall favourite type, it's just not as useful. If I were a Gym Leader, I'd want to be as infuriating as possible. With some of the best offensive threats and defensive walls, plus a couple of nice Mega evolutions, Steel would be my first port of call. A lot of them have a ridiculous number of resistances too - as well as an outright immunity to Poison type moves and Sandstorm damage - and are well-equipped to deal with types they're weak against. It wouldn't be difficult to build a balanced mono-Steel team and still use my favourites.

...also, I'd have a magnet-based puzzle for my Gym layout which would probably be more infuriating to beat than I would be. Think of the second dungeon in Twilight Princess, where you need to use the Iron Boots to magnetize yourself to the ceiling for brief periods. Add in some moving platforms, switches galore, and a bottomless pit that would drop you back to the start of the Gym if you screwed up. No jumping or precision timing, though. Just one very obscure solution. Have fun, challengers! :D

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?
If I were a Gym Leader, I would like to specialise in the Fairy type. Despite Water being my overall favourite type, I adore the Fairy type and its respective Pokémon. I can imagine having a team of 3 Pokémon: Florges, Gardevoir and Sylveon.

The gym setting would be an enchanted forest, where you have to use Cut to make your way through and if you take a wrong turn, you end up at the entrance. Defog is essential, as the forest is covered in a large veil of mist. Before you reach the leader, you must find the golden branch item amongst the forest and its trainers. Only once you have this can you proceed past the final trees.

Poison, just like the type I love most. Because they're so tricky, I like to make my opponents a little furious with my style.

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be you specialty

If I was a gym leader, I might specialize in any of these five types: Water, Ice, Steel, Ground, or Dark.

If I specialized in Water types, my gym would have a puzzle involving water slides. As for if I specialized in Ice types, the puzzle would involve climbing an ice covered mountain. Regarding if I specialized in Steel types, the puzzle would involve a metallic maze. As for Ground types, the maze would look like a war torn battle zone. Then for Dark types, I was thinking of doing a maze that is mostly dark.

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be you specialty?

If I was a Gym Leader, I would specialize in 'Tough' (Rock/Ground) Pokémon.

My Gym would be located in the small town with the region's bike shop, and you would need to get an Acro Bike (after a short quest, of course), in order to go up the local mountain maze in order to fight me. Alternatively, since I'd give no HM/level breakthrough, you could arrive from the north, fighting me as the sixth, as opposed to fourth Gym Leader.

My team would depend on whether you fought me earlier or later:

    4th Gym:

Day 15: Favourite region in the Pokémon world

Definitely Johto. It's quite small and quaint but I love the feel of the region. There's a lot of history in the towns and cities in Johto, especially with Violet, Ecruteak and Blackthorn. I especially love Ecruteak City, it's one of my favourite city designs in the series with its beautiful buildings, Autumn feel (in HGSS at least), towers, and relation to the Legendary Beasts and Kimono Girls. The Ice Path was a pain to get through when I was a kid (that massive area of ice! Using Strength so much!) so I have... memories (not sure if good memories or not) associated with that place too :P

Day 15: Favorite region in the Pokémon world

I agree with Johto. It just seems like so much more fleshed out than the rest of the regions in my opinion. It has a quaint feel, and every little corner of the map seems so significant to the story itself. The Ruins of Alph, the Slowpoke Well, Ilex Forest and Celebi's Shrine, the towers of Ecruteak City, etc.

Day 15: Favourite region in the Pokémon world

Hoenn. Not only did I grow up loving that region, it's also strikingly similar to my country: so much water. It's also a tropical region, and I live in a tropical country. The wildlife there is also diverse, and so is my country.

Day 14: If you were a Gym Leader, what would be your specialty?
No surprise here, since it's my fave type, but I would definitely be a Water-type. Plus, every Water Gym Leader other than Misty is male so I'd definitely love to add to female representation.

Day 15: Favourite region in the Pokémon world
Unova, without a doubt. I love the diversity in the environment and how it's a very advanced region. However, I feel Alola will definitely be a close contender for my new fave region if it impresses me heavily.
