I like the idea :) One thing I immediately notice is the absence of tools. Tools are probably the most common way people begin, so I'd include links to up to date tools. Also perhaps battle engine related links such as the move / ability resource threads and physical/special split routine.

1) shouldn't triple layer blocks be under Mapping?
2) Darthatron's hacks ... I'd probably categorize it under Item Editing since his Item edit for the script Use ability is really the important part of that thread
3) I'd add the sethealingplace list thread under Scripting: click me
4) Since GoGo stole the thread of specials from under Danny and I and didn't do anything with it, I'd say you should only use the second post for specials alongside JPAN's FR research .. but yeah specials list should go under Scripting. For EM: click me and for FR: click me

Thank you for the links. I've added/moved all the ones you've mentioned, Le pug.

Hmm. I've taken a closer look, and I'm no longer sure what the goal is. Most of these links (and what I expected at first) are very broad; a list of general purpose links that almost every hacker will have looked into at some point in time. But then there are some extremely specific links, like "Uncommon's FireRed HM Type-Check Patch." Not to single that out; it was merely the first on the list of that type. I think such a specific patch shouldn't be on a list like this, because once you add it, there are two options. You either add all of the niche tutorials (making the list overwhelming), or your list ends up being inconsistent because you're missing a number of niche tutorials.

On the ASM, I'd bump up Touched's & FBI's tutorials, as they're far more up to date. Also, haven't even seen knizz & Full Metal's tutorial, so thanks for the link :P But I wouldn't put Shiny Quagsire's at the top. There are a few things in it that may confuse people trying to learn ASM, and some of it is simply wrong. The instructions in the "Bit Level" example given don't even do what the tutorial says they do. Also, why is Class Based Music in the ASM section? There are a lot of other links that include ASM, and as far as I can tell, the only difference is that the tutorial includes a few lines about insertion? In which case FBI's insertion tutorial seems sufficient.

On the Physical/Special Split. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought DoesntKnowHowToPlay had posted a method. I don't understand the purpose of teaching an insertion method with the goal of "without using ASM." You're still using ASM. The only difference is that you have no clue what the hell you're doing, which, if you ask me, seems detrimental long term.

Another very useful link on FireRed Save structure: https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/349936

Last thing: spoilers. It's hard to read the post as it is structured, and I think spoilering the links (only leaving the headings) may help with that.

It originally was a bunch of links in my signature, since I noticed that many of the questions I answer in the Beginner's Lounge are linked to the same spot. Then It became a thread because I ran out of room in my signature.
I moved and removed some of the tutorials and will replace the Physical/Special Split thread with one that explains the ASM.
