Okay, so I decided to check out the competitive Pokemon scene and here is what I have so far.

    Changes in Red

    Mamoswine - Ice/Ground
    Nature: Jolly
    Ability: Thick Fat
    Moveset:
    Stealth Rock
    Icicle Crash
    Ice Shard
    Earthquake
    EV: 252 Attack - 252 Speed - 4 Def
    Item: Focus Sash

Mamoswine will usually be my lead to set up Stealth Rocks while also being a great mid-game sweeper.
I put in Icicle Crash as it's a Good STAB and Ice Shard for Priority when taking down low hp mons.
Earthquake is also there for another STAB.
    (Taken from Smogon)

    Jolteon - Electric
    Nature: Timid
    Ability: Volt Absorb
    Moveset:
    Substitute
    Thunderbolt
    Volt Switch
    Hidden Power - Ice
    EV: 252 SpA - 252 Speed - 4 SpD
    Item: Leftovers

Jolteon will serve as a Special Attack Sweeper or a potential Lead due to Volt Switch.
Thunderbolt is a great STAB, no further explanation needed.
Hidden Power Ice is for coverage over ground types.
I'm not sure about what the 4th move will be so I left it blank.
The usual set up for Jolteon.

    Scizor - Bug/Steel
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Technician (Technician)
    Moveset:
    Roost
    Swords Dance
    Bullet Punch
    X-Scissor
    EV: 252 Attack - 252 HP - 4 Spe
    Item: Scizorite

Scizor is really just here for the mega evolution and I plan switching it when I find a better mon.
Roost is great for keeping it alive and its 250 HP EVs.
Swords Dance and Bullet Punch is nothing special, it'll enable a potential OHKO with priority, especially if Scizor is Mega'd with technician.
    X-Scissor for another STAB.

    Aegislash - Steel/Ghost
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Stance Change
    Moveset:
    King's Shield
    Sacred Sword/Iron Head
    Swords Dance
    Shadow Sneak
    EV: 252 Attack - 252 HP - 4 Spe
    Item: Ring Target/Leftovers

Aegislash is another physical sweeper and the moveset is pretty standard.
King's Shield is important as it's a protect with the ability to lower attack by 2 levels if the move made contact.
I'm still deciding on whether to take Iron Head for the STAB and potential flinch or Sacred Sword to get rid of Normal Types.
Shadow Sneak is STAB and Priority, nothing really to explain.
For the item, I can't decide to take Ring Target as it allows Shadow Sneak to hit Normal Types or Leftovers for sustain when switching in.

    Togekiss - Flying/Fairy
    Nature: Bold
    Ability: Serene Grace
    Moveset:
    Dazzling Gleam
    Thunderwave
    Air Slash
    Roost
    EV: 252 HP - 212 Defense - 44 Speed
    Item: Leftovers

Togekiss is my Wall, already boasting a Special Defense of 115 I decided to give it 250 EVs in Defense and a Nature to benefit that. It's also on my team to be able to kill dragons.
Roost and Air Slash are pretty common on Togekiss, reliable healing and a 60% flinch rate.
    Thunderwave is for general crippling.

    Volcarona - Bug/Fire
    Nature: Modest
    Ability: Flame Body
    Moveset:
    Quiver Dance
    Fiery Dance
    Bug Buzz
    Giga Drain
    EV: 252 SpA - 252 Spe - 4 HP
Volcarona serves as another Special Attack Sweeper.
Quiver Dance, Fiery Dance and Bug Buzz are a must on all Volcaronas. Serving as a great boost to Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed, a reliable STAB and a 50% chance to increase Special Attack and a Bug type STAB.

Okay that's my team, please help me tweak it, and recommend me anything that may potentially make it a better team.

    Thanks.

Your teams pretty good, just remember that each Main EV should be 252 instead of 250. I'm not too sure if 2 Steels are the greatest but I'm new to the competitive scene too so, idk much.

Okay, we're looking at a major fire weakness here. Half of your team is weak to it, while the other half doesn't resist it, that's just asking for trouble.

I would switch out Scizor with Rotom-W. I know opposing Aegislash is still a concern, but Rotom-W is one of the best counters.

    Rotom-Wash @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature
    - Volt Switch
    - Hydro Pump
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Trick

It's a more offensive build, but we won't be defeating Aegislash with offense, the key to that lies in Trick. You'll use Trick against opposing Aegislash to switch items with the opponent. Since Aegislash received the choice specs, and Rotom-W is faster, it will be trapped into whatever move it makes next. Aegislash can't power up and is now almost ineffective. Rotom-W is still a powerful hitter and can also relieve some of the ground tension you have as well.

I would also recommend getting rid of the choice specs on Jolteon. Perhaps leftovers or an air balloon would work out better because the last move slot could hold substitute. Substitute would work out well because while the opponent switched out, they now have to hit you at least twice before Jolteon goes down. I would recommend leftovers to heal yourself from the substitute health loss.

I wouldn't put psychic on Volcarona. After all, you still have Togekiss and Aegislash to deal with fighting types. Instead, try using this set:

    Volcarona @ Leftovers
    Ability: Flame Body
    EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
    Timid Nature
    - Quiver Dance
    - Bug Buzz
    - Fiery Dance
    - Giga Drain

Giga drain will work out much better because Volcarona now has a way to counter water types that attempt to switch in. Also, the health recovery without wasting a turn like roost is invaluable. Sure, you'll be walled more easily by dragons, but Togekiss is there to alleviate the weakness. Volcarona already resists the fighting type STAB, so I don't think you'll have to worry about that.

So that's about all I have for your team right now. Maybe someone else can swoop in and cover what I missed. Anyway, good luck and hope I helped!

Okay, let's say I do take out Scizor for Rotom-W, I still believe that this Gen Mega Evolutions are required to win. If you could switch for another pokemon with the ability to mega evolve, who would it be?

    Thanks :)

Mega Scizor needs a form of recovery in Roost, since the lack of Leftovers can wear it down fast. Its defenses are increased compared to its regular form, so take advantage of that:
    -Swords Dance
    -Bullet Punch
    -X-Scissor
    -Roost
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP/12 Atk/244 SDef
    Item: Scizorite
    Ability: Technician

Note that Scizor's Attack is still high despite the lack of investment there.

I have problems with the EV spreads of Aegislash and Togekiss. Their overall bulk is inefficient, so you must max out their HP first before you go for their defenses. For Aegislash, use 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe; for Togekiss, use 252 HP/212 Def/44 Spe.

Well If you insist on using a Mega Evolution, I'd say you'd have to get rid of Aegislash for another Steel Mega. Perhaps Mega Scizor or maybe Mega Mawhile (which is what Id choose despite its frailness in HP).

This sounds like a good idea, I'll try this out, thanks.

If Aegislash is holding the Ring Target, its immunities to Fighting, Normal and Poison are removed (Ring Target removes the holder's immunities, not the opponent's). Aegislash is still better off holding the good ol' Leftovers as the item.
