Roserade should be able to block some Special based moves, bar the obvious weakness. :)

I feel like Farfetch'd should be a Grass type Pokemon. Mainly just because of the stalk it always holds.

Growth is surprisingly a Normal type move. Just looking at its name, you'd think it should be a Grass type move. The only Pokemon that can learn it by level-up are Grass types. "In intense sunlight, Growth raises Attack and Special Attack by two stages each." Sunlight is important for plants to grow.

I can't really think of any Grass type moves that shouldn't be Grass type moves.

I'll Agree with Rain T Farfertch'd Kinda always came of as a grass and flying type in my eyes.

Once again agreeing with Rain T here i mean Growth really it should be for plants and grass types!

Which current Grass-type move should not be Grass-type and why?
Aromatherapy perhaps? its really the only one i can think of that could not be a grass type move but alot of the grass type moves make more sense than other types.

Woah how could I forgot that wild duck! xD I say Sudowoodo should be a Grass-type too!

Sweet Scent is also a Normal-type, when it's suppose to be a Grass-type move or Fairy or Bug[/]!

Perhap Cotton Spore and Cotton Guard? Cottons are exclusively for plant related things. (Ahem! Mareep says hi.)

A lot of bug-type Pokémon we have out there could partially be categorized as grass, in my opinion. One example of this would be Dustox, mainly due to the grass-like features it has attached onto its body (such as its wings, which do resemble grass), as well as the amount of grass attacks Dustox has access to.

I get Sudowoodo was meant to fool the players/a novelty Pokémon, since he's known as The Imitation Pokémon.
But he already served his purpose well on his design, right? So it's pointless to make him a Rock-type Pokémon. At least make him a Grass and Rock-type Pokémon!

I feel you! When I was using Beautifly around a decade ago, I wondered why Beautifly isn't part Grass-type. It can learn more than draining moves, it learns Energy Ball and Solar Beam (through TM, which can be argued. haha.)

We can't deny the fact that Grass-types has a lot of weaknesses. Some people even goes as far as to laugh at our type, so here's the thing.

Main topics:
If you can kick out at least one of Grass-type's weakness*, which type would it be? Why?
*Fire, Flying, Bug, Ice, Poison-type moves.
Which type(s) of move the Grass should able to resist?
What types should be weak to the Grass-type moves?

On the first glance, it looks like an easy topic, but it isn't! xD So your take time fixing your answers.

In terms of balance, I guess ice would be the best to remove as a weakness.
I mean, there are still trees on mountains. lol And they are living things. Animals would also freeze in the winter time. @_@
But plants can at least grow back I guess and not exactly 'die.'

I think plants should resist poison due to the fact that herbs are used for healing.
And of course poison can kill plants too, but poison would kill regular animals too as well. xD
Poison should gain another type to be strong against. How about water?

No more types should be super affective. I love battling, so there's no need to give it even more weaknesses, when it still has more than most. xD

You are right on the money! Not all kinds of plants and flora die in cold areas, in fact there are some that grows in those environment. So Game Freak sort of generalized plants on being weak at frigid environments; it's unfair how Normal-type Pokémon get neutral damage from Ice-moves then. Because most mammals can't stand the cold, unless they are fully adapted to it!

I think Bug-moves. Some real plants are actually bug repellent, some plants can even go as far as eating an insect a bug. Sound gross, but my point is they can't simply make Grass-Pokémon weak to Bug-moves. This is a similar point to the Ice-Grass thing Kenshin has brought up earlier!

I think Grass Pokémon should be able to resist Fairy-type moves, since they are sharing a symbiosis relationship. Or in rare cases, the plants and floras can be overwhelming to the Fairies.

Oops, seems like I worded it wrongly. :P I'll fix that part! I mean What types should be weak to the Grass-type moves?
 
If you could kick out at least one of the Grass type's weaknesses, which would it be and why? Very good points with the Ice, Poison, and Bug. However, I'd say that Flying just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Most Flying types are modeled after some kind of bird, right? Well, I'd say that about the worst a bird could do to a plant was nest in it, or eat its seeds. The others, I can see making sense. Fire burns up plants. Many plants will die from the cold, though not all. While some plants may act as antidotes to poison, the majority can still be killed with poisons. And while some plants eat bugs, more plants are the ones that get eaten by the bugs. So, to me, Flying makes the least sense, and is the one I would choose to toss.

Which types of moves should Grass be able to resist? Another good point made about how Grass should be able to resist Fairy. In my personal opinion, though, I believe that the Grass types resistances are fine as they are.

What types should be weak to Grass? If, logically thinking, Bug is strong against Grass because bugs eat plants and Poison is strong against Grass because poison kills plants, then, continuing to speak logically, it should be one of those situations where the types are both strong against the other. Some plants eat insects, so it would make sense for Grass to take double damage from Bug types, but to also dish out double damage to Bug types. The same can be said for Poison. As some herbs heal poison, but poison can also kill plants, then it makes sense for Poison to do double damage to Grass and for Grass to do double damage to Poison. That said, I think of the rest of the types that Grass is strong against (Water, Rock, and Ground) are pretty spot on.

Okay, now on the topic. I say Meganium and Tropius! Since their structure are so similar, their designs are definitely going to compliment each other!

An another one on my imagination is Bellossom and Venusaur! {XD} Imagine if Bellossom replaces that huge flower on Venusaur's back! {XD}

Let's face the truth, Grass-type is considered by most competitive players as a vulnerable type.

Meganium and Tropius fusion = Meganius
Type: Grass/Flying
Ability: Natural Cure/Thick Fat
Base Stats: HP: 99 - Attack: 82 - Defense: 100 - Special Attack: 83 - Special Defense: 100 - Speed: 80
Learns Dragon Dance, Petal Blizzard

Bellossom and Venusaur fusion = Bellossaur
Type: Grass/Poison
Ability: Chlorophyll
Base Stats: HP: 80 - Attack: 100 - Defense: 100 - Special Attack: 123 - Special Defense: 120 - Speed: 80
Learns Leech Seed, Moonblast

On to our new topic:
Imagine yourself being a Grass-type Gym Leader/Elite Four. How would your gym/room look like? What would your team be?

Me being me, I'd be an Elite Four. My room would be modeled after a meadow, I think. Bright green (*cough cough* fake *cough*) grass, colorful (*cough cough* also fake *cough*) wildflowers, synthetic sunlight....
As for my team, for the initial challenge I'd use a Carnivine, Tangrowth, Leafeon, and Simisage. For rematches, I'd go tougher. I'd keep the Leafeon and Simisage, but then the other four would be Gogoat, Vileplume, Breloom, and Abomasnow (that can Mega Evolve).

I tried to do what most other Elite Four do, and not use legendary Pokemon or starter Pokemon. Even though I reeeaaally wanted to stick Serperior in there, because it's my favorite. I also didn't go for Grass types with the highest stats and stuff.

YES, YES, YES!! We need a Grass-type Elite Four! I've been waiting for a Grass-type Gym Leader as the final one or an Elite Four.

Well there's Flint from the Sinnoh region Pokémon League who uses an Infernape! {XD}

If I were a Grass-type specialist Elite Four, this is going to be my team:
Whimsicott, Roserade, Ferrothorn, Ludicolo
