4th Gen A G/S Remake?

What g.narron said.

And yes, it seems it's nothing more than Arceus official announced and the pikachu colored Pichu. Damn, now I get less hope of a G/S remake.... ;_;

And this is why I said to not get your hopes up, I suppose. =P Not about the movies? Seems like it was after all if they're talking movie Arceus, unless they mentioned something in Japanese missed by The Wave, which I kinda doubt (would have said more on it otherwise).

Doubted GS remake as now they're selling Platinum and would want to promote those sales rather than distract people with news of another game already. Simple marketing really and doubt they'd go against what they've done before.

Moral of today's show - don't jump to conclusions. =P

And yes - of course there is still 'hope' for a gs remake. This announcement however never in the first place said anything about it being about a new game, and there's no need for them to announce it now IF they are making it (see above). It will be a while, methinks - how long that 'while' is is anyone's guess. This year, the next year, next generation... and that's assuming if it does get made. I reckon it will, but patience is key. They'll annouce it when they announce it, if they announce it. -_-

Could be, but they showed a wild arceus battle IN-GAME and the literal pokedex information, just like they've printed the pokedex data from the games and are showing it on paper.

Well, that's not too surprising - giving more info on it, linking to promotion for the movies and what-not. But if they showed a wild battle with it, I wonder if the in-game programmed event (activated by an Azure Flute or something like that) was mentioned...

But eh. No GS remake yet it seems - head back to your dwellings and pack up that Pokemon poster you may or may not have been brandishing about in excitement only for Arceus to show it's face and crush your dreams. =P

Hurrah for not feeling feelings of disappointment! =P

Meh, what makes me more thinking is that they were wild battles against a regular arceus, fire arceus and water arceus.

Oh well... maybe later, maybe later.... There's always a change for a remake till they official confirm by themselves that they won't make a G/S remake.

This is why we dont get our hopes up so soon. Mitchman Is is known for getting peoples hopes up... Im going to have to talk to him about that. But just think, we all know its coming, and the more days we go without confirmation the closer we get to it.

Theoretical, that's true. But technical, you never know what goes on in the mind of Nintendo/Game Freak...

Wow I sure hope that they don't stop making pokemon games in 2012! I want them to keep making more so my kids can enjoy pokemon as much as I did...but I guess that's very unreasonable to hope for.

Pure Fan Demand could be enough for remakes to occur. After all, there isn't much that needs to be thought up, just a few things need to be remade into the new graphics. Besides, doing it that way requires that you have a GCN/Wii and a GBA/DS as well as the games, Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Coliseum, and XD.
If they drive on fan demand, money, and all that other stuff, then a remake would've happened a long time ago.

Not so true, I believe - firstly, games take time to make - a lot of time. Secondly - Nintendo has the way of releasing only one core Pokemon handheld game every so often, so that maximum sales can come from it - otherwise if they wanted they could have easily made one and a million other games if the above weren't the case.

Anyway - Nintendo is a company - their main drive IS money. If a game sells, they will consider making it. If they deem it will not sell well - they wouldn't make it.

Plus, making remakes of a game only a few years old would be pointless - look at FR/LG and how long it took for them to make it after the original RB. It's now about that stage for GS, so they could do it now. Or maybe next gen. Or not at all, of course. But last gen - there was really little need as they already had 5 major games nicely spread along the timeline of the 3rd gen, along with two console RPGs and many spinoffs. And Johto Pokemon were readily available in FR/LG, and Colo/XD as well, limiting any real need for a GS remake, particularly as GSC was in the previous gen and all. Remaking a game that 'old' would limit sales out of it, for instance.

Now though - it's around 10 years now. Majority of the GS games no longer work thanks to an internal battery problem. And some 2nd gen Pokemon aren't yet available in 4th gen games along. Every Pokemon is practicularly available from 3rd gen games - yet despite the inclusion of the Kanto birds and the Regi trio in Platinum, 2nd gen legendaries have not yet been made availalbe in 4th gen games.

It may not happen, of course - even if they deem that it would sell, it doesn't mean they will make it. But there is a logical opportunity for it now, and things like the many references, to actual unnecessary game coding, to suspicious Johto Starters inclusions in the new movies... it does show that they have considered it seriously - for why else do these things? It's certainly no indicator that it will happen, but it's certainly more than anything beforehand. We'll have to wait and see if they do do it though - but I don't see any reason to discount the possibility of it happening. =)

Not really. FR/LG wasn't released very long ago when you think about it, and it wouldn't make sense for Nintendo to release the G/S remake right after they did another remake. If a remake is going to come, it's likely to either be the next set of games released, or the next set of games released after the Generation 5 games. Of course, it could happen later than that, but I think those are the most likely times for it to happen.

What the hell! Gah im bummed. From now on im not saying anything on everything. Special surprise was something besides those 2 so what was it.

They assumed we had not used the internet to know about the Arceus and Pichu things and they were the surprises. From now on I would advise you to keep your excitement to yourself hun. You will get cut one of these days getting peoples hopes up:laugh:.

True true. But something gives about that pichu. Something really gives. Why give it a name of such when the pallete is a bit darker.

Lets just settle on that they actually meant shiny by that.

Oh know i do know that by PCP its meant to be shiny like how the shiny gyarados is the redd gyarados and now shiny pichu is pikachu colored pichu. But why so. Maybe the shading is off on the colors or something.

they arent making all shiny pichus like that they are making just one they arent going change them and make them all look like pikachu because with pikachu being shiny its the same as the normal shiny pichu its a darker color

Actually pichu shiny is already pikachu colored. As e stated there is no 3rd pichu color and thus its was a mis-read fact. Like the red gyarados having a special name pichus will be pikachu colored pichus if shiny.
