So I was wondering what does everybody think about using the action replay for Pokemon? I know a lot of people (including me) use it to clone their event Pokemon. But does anybody think it is cheating to use AR to obtain all the items, berries etc. so i was just wondering what all of your guys opinions are on using the action replay

I dont think its ever ok. No exceptions. Esepcialy for the gts. It messes the whole trade economy up.

You can do with your action replay what you want but just dont use the gts or any other form of pokemon interaction not between friends

Sorry mate, this is really gaming specific so I'll move it to General Pokemon Gaming for you.

I have nothing against Action Replay cloning.

Especially when somebody uses it to spread a really rare event, like Movie 13 Celebi and Shiny Beast Trio around.

But anything else, like breeding, creating legendaries out of thin air, etc. is wrong

I use mine to obtain berries, vitamins and TM's. I've also used it for cloning and quick EV training.

I'm not really bothered about people using it, I mean at the end of the day it's their game. I think it's unfair though when people create stats and movesets that aren't possible in game.

I figure you can do whatever you want so long as you only screwup your game. when it comes to things that involve other people's games:
gts: I don't think it's okay to trade a hacked pokemon unless the other person knows it's hacked.
Battle (with other people obviously): I think it's fine to use a hacked pokemon so lang as it is possible to be obtained without a cheating device.
and shiny: some people don't have time (or luck in my case, I've played over 700hrs on my emerald and still not seen one) to search, and what good is a shiny poke really? It has the same stats, moveset, ability, etc. so yes hacking to get a shiny is fine in my opinion.
The first sentence says it all though, why should other people care how bad we screw up our game if it's not hurting them or their game? So long as AR people don't put the other people at a disadvantage, I think it's fine. some people say "u is not enjoyin teh game as much.", but I say that people like myself who use ARs are just enjoying the game differently. To have fun with a game don't you have to enjoy it? I say yes, so I don't like to be dragged through kicking and screaming just to have someone say I enjoyed it more. I rest my case.

I'd use mine when I'm REALLY bored, though only lightly, just to get money or TMs and such. I don't wanna risk screwing up the game.

    i think its ok sometimes.

i use mine for TMs and for obtaining event legendaries (i cant get them) its kinda my way of getting back at nintendo for not letting me get the legendaries i really want
