Suggestion: Adding FCs

So, you know how we can add our MSN nicks, XBox Live tags, Yahoo and Aim screen names? Well wouldn't it be easier if we did that for FCs? It really doesn't do anything except keep us from having to put it in our sig. Just an idear.

i actually like that idea. it would be easier instead of looking them up everytime or taking up space in your sig.

We had something like this... and I'd be fine bringing it back.

I think we pulled it and put it on hold for a bit when Audy started working on his trading hack which, as far as I know, is still slowly in the works. But I'm pretty sure no one would have any objections if we just tossed a textarea field into the profile to list all PKMN-related friend codes. o.o Or at the very least, one for the main game people use for battling/trading.

I actually like that idea. I have my FC in my bio, but having it there would make things a tiny bit simpler. But hey, there's nothing wrong with having it other places. xD

Yeah, but a lot of people post their different FCs for each game they have. Maybe a different icon for each FC in each game. Sounds like a neat idea, but depending on how many you'd put up, it'd get kinda cluttered. :( Oh well, I still like the idea even though I have no FC to put up. No Wi-Fi. :P But yeah~

Although, if someone does have all 5 games, which is going to be 7, and then 8 in a while, wouldn't it get a bit cluttered?

Make it click able.
Like It's a FC icon and you click in and it brings down a menu.
And it has like HG SS, etc when you hover over that, It show FC and or Name.

I do not care how, but I suggest this feature be implemented soon; I find it ridiculous that I have to look at my Bulbagarden/Smogon accounts to retrieve my friend codes.

Well, there's the possibility of having 100+ Friend Codes.
If your referring to the Pokemon Games, I may like that idea.
For the Icon, you could either make it the Gem/Metal of the game.
Or make a Pokeball Icon with the top being the color of the game.
Like Pearl would have a Pink and White Ball.
Or Gold would have a Gold and White Ball (Like the GS Ball haha).
I support this idea. Hope it's implemented soon.

Oh and if we cant find it we can make a FC Database in trading forums :)
Everyone will not be able to post/makeathread until they have submitted there friend code and that way we would have all friendcodes :P

I think that having the Friend Codes as separate areas on the icon area would work better than a scroll down list because that way you can see which codes someone has immediately and there's no need to click on one icon to get a scroll list or having to scroll through two areas to get one FC. As for icons, would it be possible to use the Legendary based items for each of the games. Diamond FC = Adamant Orb, Pearl = Lust Orb, ect. Someone mentioned that the icons need to be a certain dimension but I'm pretty sure that's not correct since the sizes of the current icons range from 16x16 to 20x20. Items have a size of 24x24 so it's not that large a difference I think.

This feature is relevant to my interests.

On the occasions that I go into the Wifi Center, I either have to do one of two things: Dig through a bunch of old posts in a near-dead topic to find the correct FC for the game that I want to use, or pull out my DS to find it. It's a little annoying, so having it consolidated could help a lot.

I'd personally prefer the game abbreviations to the items, for quicker reference. It'd also help the noobs who don't know what the corresponding items are.

I think this would a great idea, and you should have a badge or letter for each pokemon game, like this: Diamond = D, Pearl = P, Platinum = Pt, HearGold = HG, and SoulSilver = SS.
