    Hello

I'm new to this forum. Basically, I started playing pokémon again after 10 years or so. I just picked up a 2DS for this because I'm not going to play any other game. At least I think I won't.

I own a copy of pokémon Omega Ruby, because I owned the original Ruby as a kid. I also picked up a copy of Pokémon Y, because it seemed like a cool game.

Any information regarding these two games is welcomed, as I'm not really used to play the game anymore. It changed so much. The new fairy-type is really interesting.

PS: where can I find information about Pokémon X starters and their pro/cons? I started playing pokémon X with the grass starter, but I don't like it as much so maybe I'll just start over with another starter. It's at level 39 right now. Mega Charizard is awesome though.

    That's all for now.
    See you around!

    Hey, Joedels!

Wow, a whole 10 years? A lot of the new stuff must seem extremely foreign to you, haha. I'm not sure if you're interested in The Legend of Zelda, but I highly recommend picking up either Ocarina of Time 3D or Majora's Mask 3D, both are such great games!

I personally don't have a copy of Pokémon Y, but I know that it's nearly identical to X, so that said, it's definitely a worthwhile game. Omega Ruby has to be my absolute favorite, it's really nostalgic. :)

There's a lot of forums you can check out regarding information about X&Y, the place to start would probably be the official X/Y Quick Q&A Thread, you're bound to get really quick answers from fellow members. For my starter, I personally chose Fennekin. However, don't give up hope on Chespin! Paired with Charizard, they're a great team. Similar to X/Y, OR/AS also has its own In-Game Quick Questions & Answers thread too. As for pros and cons, you should check out the In-Game Team Help forum. There's a lot of experienced players there, so if you're looking for pros and cons, that's definitely the best place to go. They'll help you out for sure.

What are some of your other interests? That would help us out to recommend even more forums for you to check out. :P

It's great meeting you, I hope you enjoy yourself here! Feel free to send me a friend request if you ever just want to chat sometime. :)

Yes, it's been 10 years. Graphics surely have improved hahah. I knew that going with a grass starter is never a bad option, as good grass types are hard to find in-game. But maybe that's changed so I picked Chespin for nothing.
I'm not really hating it, but just doesn't seem to cut it. I don't really like how it looks fully evolved, and it's got beaten quite a few times already. I just don't enjoy using it in battles.
I took a look at the other starters and I don't really like any of them based on their looks. They all look weird to me. But maybe that's because it's been this long.

I'm not really into doing some competitive gaming yet, as I'm first trying to get used to the new games. Maybe when I get to know them better I will.

Thanks for replying, I will definitely send you a friend request and I will check out the forums you linked, thanks!

Yeah; I'm not a big fan of Chespin's evolutions either despite loving the first form. I chose him as well and ended up boxing him several badges into the game since I found other grass types I liked better. X/Y has a lot of catchable Pokémon so you can find pretty much anything that there's really no need to worry about what types may be more 'scarce,' haha. Glad you seem to be liking the sixth gen games so far though, definitely a huge change from the first few generations but they're amazing nonetheless. =) Feel free to message me if you have questions about the games if you like, I've been playing for over 15 years and can probably help out if you're confused.

...otherwise, welcome, Joedels. :D Have an excellent experience getting involved in the forum here! Looking forward to having you.
