This show is getting so messed up.. :( Originally I didn't mind but episode 23 has just been ridiculous and I'm unhappy with all the random things they've pulled throughout the entire episode. Tatsumi dying was not something I wanted, either, ugh @ anime-exclusive endings.

[22:03:19] <~blade|away> its only for the drama, that amount of blood, right???
Tatsumi is dead... *cries*
...anyway, I'll wait for the last episode. I think that may be about Night Raid and other people rebuilding the empire, them teaching the Emperor how to properly rule the kingdom, and Esdeath probably helping out as her way to remember Tatsumi...
Other than the fact I'd rather Esdeath died on the spot, rather than having plenty of strength to stroll to Tatsumi and put up a giant ice wall, it was a pretty nice finale :o.
Killing the emperor boy seemed really misplaced. Quite contradictory to the 'new capital'.
Akame destined to route out any threat to peace? The Assassin-Assassin?
Time to forget that all happened and focus on the mange now, I suppose!
*becomes teary-eyed upon seeing Esdeath freeze herself with Tatsumi and destroy their bodies*
*begins crying at seeing Leone shot* But damn was it satisfying to see the uncle's face crushed.
*begins sobbing at seeing Leone return to the slums to see her friends on last time and she collapses in an alley to die alone*
*begins weeping at seeing the emperor, who seemed just manipulated in all of this honestly, accept the guillotine*
*lost it at Tatsumi's village members saying their three heroes will return home soon*
I had no idea this series would turn out this way, but I fully appreciate that it stuck with one of its main themes. When two imperial arm users meet in battle, one will die. No character was safe. There was a lot of heartache, but I'm glad I watched this story unfold every week.
It ended up being a pretty decent watch. Enjoyment went down during the final 5-6 episodes but I don't really regret picking this one up. I should maybe write a review on this one too. Would be a nice change of pace since I've only been writing reviews for shows I consider pretty good. This one would be mediocre so that's different. :p
Either way, finale felt strangely low-budget for a finale. Apart from that, it ended pretty nicely I guess. :p I should really read the manga, though. Heard it is much better..
