    Imagine the richest person alive decided that they would rather live a life like a normal person and wanted to get rid of their money quickly (nearly 75 billion apparently, idk, but it's a lot). The person noticed a good deed you may have done once in your life and decided you would be the perfect candidate to decide where all their money should go to. The person gives you four choices of which you could donate to:

    - any animal help organisation
    - an organization dedicated to finding cures for diseases
    - help starving children in one country
    - one of the people closest to you

    Which would you choose and why? You can specify the charity.

    Oh and you can't donate to anything else other than these four choices, so no taking the money from your friends, etc. There is no way you will ever get the money, just the satisfaction of helping decide where to donate it to.

    This would also mean that the world would change drastically if you chose option 1, 2, or 3.

    At first glance, I was gonna say that I'd donate to research for a disease, namely cancer because my granddad has it, but then I kinda realized that there has been SO much donated to that already and...well, are we still that close? I'm not trying to make it sound like a hopeless cause, but seeing that helping starving kids in one country is also something I can donate too, which would be a more immediate way to help, then I would do that instead. Plus 75 billion should be enough to keep kids fed for...well, a long time. lol I'm not doing the math on this. So I'd donate that to starving kids in umm...gee I don't know any African countries names, lol. I just know they need it.

    I'm not saying one of these causes is more important than another btw, but I MEAN I CAN ONLY PICK ONE SO. ;___;

    I'd go for option number one actually. Which is a weird one for me to choose. If I were to choose two or three I can imagine bad things happening. Mostly over population and the potential of war. And if I were to give it to one person, they'd ignore me probably and become overflown with power. Number one has the least chance of evil things happening to everyone.

    Donate to an organization dedicated to finding cures for diseases. I can relate to that one a lot cause some of my relatives have diseases that can't be cured yet. So in a way I'm doing both 2 and 4.

    Id go for option number 1. Im a huge animal lover and these organizations need all the money they can get to save the animals. If it really was that much money it would go a long way.

    One of my closest friends can have the money. I know he'd do a few selfish things with it, but with 75 billion that would be a tiny fraction. I know he'd donate almost all the money to a lot of different causes and that's really what I'd want to do with so much money, and I know none of them would be ones I'm opposed to since we're pretty much on the same wavelength so I'd still generally get the same results as if I could choose to use it however I wanted. Plus I'd help a friend.

    And if that's not really in the spirit of the question then I'd give it all to disease research so we could cure AIDS, HIV, cancer, Alzheimer's, and so on.

    I would probably help the starving children in one country. I don't know which country, but I know there are plenty of children who could use the help. ;__;

    Diseases, definitely. Although I'd make sure to give it to charities that have seen real results with their contributions so far, as opposed to ones that have a tendency to skim a lot of the money off of the top for their own gain, as opposed to helping the cause that they were set up to support.

    This is what Warren Buffett's going to do when he ends up dying... just giving 97% of his wealth to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Good for him.

    The first or second... To hard to choose. I would probably go with diseases over animals, though, sorry.

    Second. I think it would be the most helpful one for the world. If I would give food to children, they would still be in danger of AIDS and other diseases and the military could take the money as well.

    I feel like donating to the starving country is the right thing to do... but one country? I'd only donate if I could help out multiple countries, one country seems like I'm not spreading the money around evenly enough to help people. I'd donate to the disease organization, particularly one to do with Alzheimers or Dementia. Why those? To me, they are the saddest diseases you could get. To lose your memory and sometimes forget the most basic skills... I just couldn't go by and let the people who suffer from Alzheimers or Dementia continue on without $75 billion dollars going as far as it could to help them. Plus, the money would give some hope to the families of the sufferers. If it's found that there cannot possibly a cure, at least they had hope once upon a time.

    I'd donate for PETA!

    I would donate in order to help the most people, so the disease option. I would feed the children, but like others have said, it just isn't reaching out to enough people. One country wouldn't cause change on a global scale, and in the end, they'd most likely just go back to famine and malnutrition again. The disease one would be a slower process, but to think, all the money... that could go a very long way.. It might find the cure, and if it doesn't... It might still take a lot of steps forward. Blahh.

    I definitely would not give it to someone close to me. I can see why some people would, but I don't have anyone that needs the money like that. My mom, maybe, but I think it'll be all fine. They would just be selfish with it, in most cases, even though such a thing was intended to be selfless in nature.

    Well I sort of agree with Sydian on the disease thing, so I think a cause more likely to immediate/certain success (which is the starving children option) would be my more preferential option for donating 75 billion although 75 billion is proably waaaaay to much to donate to one corrupted/poor country, and has many risks to doing so. I would probably donate it to Somalia if it were right now because of the famine, but anyother time more than likely a country like Angola which has the lowest average life expectancy.

    I would donate it to the disease curing charity, because in my family we suffer from a multitude of currently uncurable diseases, specifically autism and Alzheimer's. If I could donate it and find cures for both, I would help not only the world, but the ones I love and myself too.

    Totally donating the money to hkdr (a charity in my city that rescues animals.. mainly dogs :D) because I love love love love love love love love love love loveeee dogs and I work there every Saturdays :3

    I'd donate the money to feeding starving children in the Philippines because there are so many of them on the streets.

    Option 1 because I love animals, mainly endothermic animals (warm-blooded animals, mammals and birds).
