it was also made a point that neither Brock and Ash really found Misty attractive. She never got those, "Wow (name) you look great!" type statements that May and Dawn both have gotten.

That, and a lot of Pokeshippers (not all, don't get offended :P) seem like those people who are all like, "every Pokemon after 150 sucks because that's all I played/watched growing up." So, yeah.

Just for sake of counter-argument, and because I favor Pokeshipping (although it's obviously dead without Misty around), Ash (and Brock...eh) actually did get all blushy when he saw the painting of her above the gym. Granted, it was before he knew it was her. Also, when she entered the festival to win the dolls, there was all that sparkly stuff around her when Ash saw her. It was one of those without-words kind of things, I think.

Glad you put that other disclaimer up there ^^^^ or I might have had a fit. XP Jk, but I still pokeship and I love a lot of Pokemon AFTER the original 150.

On a different note, gosh-- looks like there will be blood when Mew and AK break out the fisticuffs.

I agree-- I hope he ages a little. The reason I think they might finally do it is because the show seems like a companion to the games (and vice versa, now), so if the games are targeted to an older audience, the show might be, too.

f Ash is taking a backseat to gyms and Iris is doing them, then he's taking over the joint Misty/Brock role as "coach" and not simply as a facsimile of one.

O_O Is that likely? I want to see Ash DOING stuff. I couldn't stand it if he just retreated into a gag role. Unless it's done in an ultimately cool way.

He can still do gyms, catch Pokemon, and go for the league. I don't want to see him act noobish again.

If Ash is doing Gyms and Iris is doing Musicals, Dento will be baggage, because whatever goal he has will be passive, like Brock's. If he has one at all, aside from being the designated driver.

I've a feeling this is what Dento will become, since he is replacing Brock.

Now I wonder, why is this series going to be fast? Looking at the region, it doesn't look as big to me than the previous four regions. In fact it looks quite small.

What are you talking about? Ash and May weren't on the same levels ever? Maybe at the end of the series when May tied with him in a contest. She was still considered a student who just supassed her teacher. I'm telling yah what there doing now is right, besides while old fans may tune in and out, new fans will keep coming each generation. Whoever watches this series Best Wishes will like the animation and characters and think of it as new, like what happened in the past. Watch, like Pearlshipping was popular in D/P series, Negaishipping will be the next big thing and people will sadly slowly forget about Pearlshipping like they did with Advancedshipping ><

Nobody (meaning the fans; the writers aren't a factor when it comes to shipping) forgets about anything. "Advanceshipping," "Negaishipping," "Pokeshipping," and "Pearlshipping" are all concepts; they aren't characters that are discarded and never revisited. Ideas tends to last, especially if they're popular. Poke and Advance haven't been forgotten, like Pearl won't be forgotten, and neither will Negai when its time comes, if it plays its cards right.

No, I don't sense that "equality" between Ash and May. Only in that final battle though. In the earlier episodes of AG she was acting like a noob. Dawn on the other hand caught up quickly. And there's more striking similarities between Ash and Dawn than Ash and May. ...wouldn't you be agreeing with me since you're a Pearlshipper...?

I won't forget Pearlshipping. Apart from strong shipping hints, the anime, both original and dub, showed some scenes where both parties cared for each other as friends and supported them through and through. We saw that with Ash & May, but I feel it was stronger between Ash and Dawn. I know I'll feel the same with Ash & Iris as I felt with Ash & Dawn.

Pearlshipping was indeed probably the strongest developed by friendship. What was Pokeshipping? A hyperbole that had to be hyperbolized by 4Kids.

Also, for Ash x Iris, I have this strong feeling it's going to be an Idol-Follower relationship with a dash of closeness.

Uhhh afternoon sometime? In Kanto? I am not sure, I just remember I got the radio add-on from that guy in Kanto and so I was messing around with it, then that thing came up. I haven't been on enough though to see if the radio show about East and West actually IS a serial show or if they just SAY it is.

Good question, there must be transcripts of it on some cheat site...
