I got a new shipping for ya: East and West.

If you listen to the radio in Kanto in Heartgold/Soulsilver (and maybe the radio from other games, I don't remember), at one point you'll come across a story of East and West and their love for each other.

These aren't actual characters, right?

AHA! I remember that radio show. It was when I was trying to get all the episodes in "Maximo the Pokeatlon Dude" thing (OKAY I WAS BORED >I) when I started getting that story all the time, along with Maximo repeats. XD

Maaaaaan the 'romance' was was so pathetic... It was like - "I meet you, you meet me, love at first sight, I CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU EAST, ME TOO WEST". I was laughing all the time...

And no, I don't think that's really actual characters. o3o

No, I don't sense that "equality" between Ash and May. Only in that final battle though. In the earlier episodes of AG she was acting like a noob. Dawn on the other hand caught up quickly. And there's more striking similarities between Ash and Dawn than Ash and May. ...wouldn't you be agreeing with me since you're a Pearlshipper...?



I won't forget Pearlshipping. Apart from strong shipping hints, the anime, both original and dub, showed some scenes where both parties cared for each other as friends and supported them through and through. We saw that with Ash & May, but I feel it was stronger between Ash and Dawn. I know I'll feel the same with Ash & Iris as I felt with Ash & Dawn.

Well, Pearlshippers such as you and me won't forget about Pearlshipping, however I'm talking about Japan. Each Ash ship gets more popular as the series goes on, I assume Negaishipping will take its place soon.

Now it's confirmed that Iris is a real NPC in the games. So now I don't think antagonistically as I did before about her when she was first introduced. I still think she could be related to White.

Ok, have you seen the episode yet? You've only seen the previews. Oh and I'm assuming you don't remember Pokeshipping, where Misty always teased Ash but in reality she secretly liked him at the begining. Now the same thing could be the case with IrisxAsh since its kind of going to be like Kanto in some ways.

They get notes on who and what is in the games while it's in production; there was a private viewing of the first three episodes by the Pokémon Sunday crew, I believe, a couple months back. One of them blogged on seeing it (after the character sheet was revealed, but long before Iris' official design was. Meaning the first three episodes were done a long time ago. Meaning they have access to the materials.

It's how we were given that character sheet with pogeys that weren't officially revealed for months after, and how they knew to give Ash an Aipom (which would lead to another evolution) in BF, because they knew it would lead to an evolution.

If Iris is somehow supposed to be related to White, that would mean one of Iris's parents would be black, another would be white. Could Iris's mother be Aloe? She has crazy hair, too. Is this going waay too far into the speculation side of things? XD Actually, Iris and White look nothing alike...I think Sugimori just might be liking the puffy hair this time around.

He's probably escorting her to where you're supposed to met her in-game, meaning the bodyguard relationship between the two is back on the table. He needs to bring her from point A to point B; couldn't say at this point if she'll stay there once they get there (if or not if Yin and Yang over there are involved when they do arrive) or if she'll continue hanging on Ash's six.

So assuming she's not doing gyms (hey Ash, yer back in the game) and is honing her powerz along the trip, the relationship might not change if he still makes himself her teacher. Ash might be helping her in the battling aspect, so when she does leave the party, Iris won't need to be dependent on others.

It might put into respects Dento and Iris' relationship too. ^^; If Iris is some priestess in training, a wild child with a Tarzan complex might not be ideal behavior. So it seems like this time, there will be a relationship between the girl and third-person (this time Dento). Because there was hardly any relationship between Dawn and Brock.

I was thinking the same thing, about how it seems like they're setting the two up for something. This is because I think fans would feel more comfortable with two fresh, new characters developing a relationship in an equal amount of time, as opposed to one with Ash, who we've known for a verrrrrrry long time.

I'm pretty new here, so new that I think the term "shipping" is like crushes and stuff, right? Well I hope I'm right.

I wish it could happen, but Ash & Anabel would make the perfect couple. She's the Psychic Pokemon battle frontier Brain, and she's definitely got a thing for Ash, but he doesn't know it. I really wish they would quit making these 'Shipping' things come and go, or at least be heard from again in later episodes. She was one of the only people that liked Ash, that was normal. Then again, I'm not up to D&P yet only halfway through S9 so brb..

You're about right, but as you progress in the world of shipping, you realize there's these freakin weird people that ship Pokemon and Humans. For your mental sake, you may have to redefine shipping. But that's good for now.
