April was a good month. We smashed the views and the visitors of the previous two months now. We're also quickly negating the need for me to report the number of days we had 100+ views for a while it seems, as we only had 3 days that fell below that nice round number!
Speaking of round numbers, all-time views went past 10,000 (currently at 12,000+) and visitors went past 5000 (currently at 6,600+). Yay!
The Raw Numbers
April total views: 5,776 (March: 2,702, February: 3,360)
April total visitors: 3,483 (March: 1,671, February: 1,285)
April average views/day: 193 (March: 87, February: 116)
Daily High Score: 350 (Best ever: 449 views, March: 131)
Lowest Score (for a full day): 82 (March: 48, February: 38)
Number of 100+ days: 27 (March: 10, February: 13)
Image of hits/day:
Breaking it down, the first few days of April enjoyed a spike due to the various April Fools articles, and then the 'nothing reviewed on this show' article. April 12th had the Coro Coro article (which had no real news but still gave a bump); April 20th-22nd was around the trademarks and Battle with Bronzong article, along with the Daily display on the forum next to the Bulletin Board, and the 27th news on the Nintendo NX and Pokemon Go.
Articles visited since start of month until 1st May:
(Note that articles posted in the month have the orange tab to the left. Also note these are separate from forum thread views.)
The first video article has grown in views. Clearly people are interested in GSC being on the eshop and finding it through google! The second one also did well, and other news articles dominated views. The Eevee battling article was up there with them however, closely followed by the Bronzong battling article and the Eevee nicknames article.
April Fools collab article, Ludicolo/Ambipom battle articles and the Finding Feebas article matched. I feel at least some of these benefited from the implementation of the Daily feed next to the Bulletin Board.
Google's versions of the stats ('sessions' = views, seems lower than total stats):
Referrers (ie what sites people came from to visit the magazine)
(Those not accounted for I assume are from PC.) Last month search engines only contributed 729; the number has more than doubled. Perhaps the content on google is beginning to become more relevant. (I did a rough calc - touch over 1/5 of total views have come from search engines now. I'll track that statistic too.)
Twitter fell a touch, facebook went up a touch. We got a few hits from an foreign Pokemon forum and an April fools website.
Search engines terms (what people put in anything but Google to get to the magazine.
The funny and weird searches (that got clicks, and including google) include:
Clicks (links clicked in articles)
People clicked links more often.
Country breakdown:
US on top. Canada beat Holland this time. I cut off countries with <10 views.
