Arcanine vs Houndoom

Who do you believe is the better or your more favorite pokemon?
Personally, I like Arcanine.

Well I like Houndoom more, but Arcanine is probably a better pokemon all around.

But really, Arcanine's stats and movepool don't go well together IMO.

Houndoom. He is so awesome! XD I never really came to like arcanine... I reckon if they fought thoy, arcanine would win. But that isnt the point. Whenever I fought the team rocket leader in radio tower in Silver, I would always think that the fight was totally epic.

I like Houndoom.
I always like to have both a Dark and a Fire type around, and Houndoom has both in one convenient package, with decent stats and a movepool that it can actually make use of. Also, it looks completely awesome.

Arcanine is pretty neat too I guess, though I never really used it. I always preferred Ninetales, personally. =P

Arcanine. Stats are 100% better, dark-type isn't really a great type to have with fire (Now you have a fighting weakness too.. great), Arcanine can pull off mixsweeper.. oh and Arcanine looks 1 billion times more bad-ass

Arcanine by base stats, but that's no real indication of superiority. I have taken down a Rayquaza with a Raichu (both lv 100) simply by having a better strategy than my opponent.

Houndoom's cool and has better Movepools, but Arcanine is cooler for me and has better stats overall (and its movepools are "decent" enough for it).

Arcanine no doubt, a stronger pokemon (in terms of physical attacks) and very good to have on hand. If you have one and have it well trained, it will be your most loyal friend. I have just always loved Arcanine's appearance. And its powerful fire attacks have always been a favorite of mine. However, Houndoom is a strong pokemon itself and it could make an interesting matchup depending on how each pokemon would be trained in battle.

Arcanine is much better statwise but lacks a good movepool. Houndoom is a nice pokemon overall but Arcanine would win in a fight. Not to forget that Arcanine is a lot more good looking than houndoom in my opinion. So Arcanine>Houndoom for me!

I have to say Houndoom, Arcanine does have better stats but a dual type of Fire and Dark is just SICCK! XD

Houndoom, duh.

Mind you, I've never actually bothered to have an Arcanine because I always choose the fire starter. It does look pretty cool, but I like having a fire-type from the beginning so... no.

Also, Houndour is soooo much cooler than Growlithe!

Arcanine is Legendary (or so says the Pokedex), Houndoom is not. Arcanine looks tougher, is tougher, and actually has hair.
