Just what the title says, are you a fan of the new triple battles, do you like being able to see a full few of your Pokemon, maybe you think the new attacks look cool and the moving camera is fresh? What do you like/dislike about the battles?
Personally I think triple battles will be interesting, I don't really like the fully animated backsprites though :/ Sure, its cool that the Pokemon moves, but I feel that it looks too pixelated. At least with the backsrpites of previous games your Pokemon didn't totally look like it was made from blocks, knowing me, I'll probably grow to love this though.
The battle styles are what impressed me the most about Black and White. No longer do we have to stare at a bunch of immobile pixels on a DS screen, even if they were animated by a couple of frames. The battles seem much more livelier and even a bit funner. If only this was on 3DS, then who knows how much fun that would be. xDD But I'm satisfied enough, as is.
I'm glad about the introduction of triple battles. The screen does look cluttered at times judging from the very few screenshots I've seen, but the concept looks like it will be executed well. I've been hearing quite a lot about how the new movements look too "pixelated", but I'll have to play for myself to accurately give an opinion... I like the Generation 4 back sprites, though; they oozed with large juicy DS-graphics goodness! (mostly evident when compared to the palette of Generation 3 games)
Previously, just like Poke Ball release animations, animated sprites were like a blip on the radar that is a Pokemon battle - they only lasted for a few seconds, and would essentially be a waste for drawn-out battles where switching or fainting is minimally seen. Now, they seem to have much more of a lively presence in battle, and I've heard that move animations have been sped up considerably, which is nice.
I'm not sure why this wasn't done in BW either, but weather effects should be ongoing, i.e. it should show rain in the battle screen until it actually stops raining. The little indicator on the bottom screen is nice, but I just can't stop wondering why GameFreak didn't implement weather effects this way (maybe lag?).
Hmm...I read about the new little weather indicator, which apparently removes the time-consuming messages of past games. I'm hoping for a way where the weather animations could still be constantly retained in battle without disrupting the actual flow of the battle. One method is how
Pokemon Stadium 2 did it, where the weather animations were seen briefly whenever moves activated them. However, their animations were also seen/looped during menu selection, so as not to interfere much with the battle.
Seeing the full pokemon is way better, I was so sick of seeing only Wailord's forehead >:[

why is everyone is dissing the triple battles?! they are so cool! You are able to battle with your top 3 pokemon! I always had that problem don't you?
Aside from the screen clutter with sprites and Pokemon infoboxes, I assume some fans view it as a gimmick that built on double battles. Furthermore, triple battles show
half of each player's entire team (assuming each player has a maximum party of 6 Pokemon).
Rotation battles seem intriguing, but I have yet to try them out myself.
