The Battle System is amazing. I don;t care what any PokeVet says, I fricking love this battle system over R/B/Y.

I mean come on, we've finally got full-body Pokemon!

^ This. XD;

I especially like how they have movement within the battle. Before it was just a short animation after coming out of the Pokéball and that was pretty much it. I prefer their little movement throughout the battle now since it makes it more realistic in a way.

But overall I like the whole battle system and I'm pretty sure I'll get used to Rotational/Triple Battles after a few attempts at it easily. I guess you just have to know the few basics to get an understanding, and that would be knowing that your Pokémon on the far right end attacks the one opposite from it, the middle being able to attack any of the three from the opponent's side, and the far left end Pokémon can attack the opposite from it as well, and so on.

So yes, I'm happy with the new battle system and I can't wait to experience it for myself. :P 2 more months

When I first heard of triple battles, I said 'Oh, gosh'. Double battles are quite tedious, but I love the mechanics for triple battle. I also love the rotating battles, though there's no OHKO for the enemy.

As for the camera angles, I like it. New aesthetics change are most welcome.

When I first read about triple battles,I wasn't sure how it could work, but after Black and White came out in Japan,I began watching some triple battles.
Afterward I saw a video of a rotation battle, and to me,it was awesome!

When I get Black and get enough Pokemon I'm going to have a hard time deciding whether to do a triple battle or a rotation battle, but I know one things for sure,I'm going to have to do some new strategies with Pokemon.

Since you are getting black that means you are going to be playing Rotational battles mostly as those are most common in black :)
I like the way flying attacks can attack most of your opponents :)

So what you're saying is that, depending on the version that you get, would determine what kind of battles you get? Like, for me, I'm getting black, so that means I'm getting the rotational battles and stuff? What about for those who are getting white? xD

Those who are getting White primarily get triple battles.~ [though i haven't been in one rotational battle yet]
Rotational battles and triple battles are pretty much the same but they utilize different ways to dish out the moves and such.

I guess I won't mind much, I like rotational battles, they look really interesting. xDD; Though I might have a bit of trouble getting used to them and all. Like, idk if you can willingly rotate pokemon at will, or if it randomly happens or something, etc. D:

I really like the new battle system. There isn't really anything about it that I don't like, actually. Even though the backsprites are a bit pixellated, I'm not too bothered by it. I really love how it's faster, how the camera moves around, how time isn't taken up by constantly announcing the weather and the abilities of the Pokemon...

This could be just me, but I also love the music. Especially when your Pokemon is low on health, how it's not just the annoying beep, how the music actually /changes/ to "OMG HEAL OR SWITCH OR SOMETHING BECAUSE YOUR POKEMON IS GOING TO DIE IF YOU DON'T" consistency. XD.

That's cool!
I think after I get my Black,I'm going to want some friend codes to battle with.I also think that I will have a hard time deciding whether triple battles or rotational battles will be best, but after watching some videos for both battles,I think they are equally amazing!

Exp System

When I learnt that there was no VS. Seeker in Black & White, I was thinking how I would train my Pokémon but then I found out about the new Exp system, where if a lower level Pokémon battles a higher level Pokémon, and wins then you get alot more Exp than you usually would, and the best Exp method in Black & White (Even better than the VS. Seeker) is batteling Tabunne, you can gain 430+ Exp from a wild Level 11 Tabunne, which is really good considering the levels, and if you want to train a new Pokémon to your team which is at Level 1, you'd get even more Exp because of the new System, around 900+ Exp! I saw a video where a Level 1 Shinija was batteling a Level 47 Tabunne, then they switched out to a Dragonite Level 97, when they beat Tabunne, Dragonite got around 1,850 Exp and Shinija got something like 11,871! Which is amazing, far beats the VS. Seeker and especially for a wild Pokémon, and they're SO easy and quick to find! looking forward to this method!

I don't really mind them much, but they seem pretty interesting, although it'll take some getting used to. Especially the whole position thing with triple battling and who can hit who...

Bada dap dap dap, I'm loving it. Fully animated sprites is a nice step for GameFreak. Im am really, really pleased. Also I showed my friends some videos of the sprites on youtube and they fell in love with it. Looks like Nintendo has some new fans.

I love the new battle system. The fully animated spirites are awesome, and makes battling a whole lot more fun.

Just what the title says, are you a fan of the new triple battles, do you like being able to see a full few of your Pokemon, maybe you think the new attacks look cool and the moving camera is fresh? What do you like/dislike about the battles?

Personally I think triple battles will be interesting, I don't really like the fully animated backsprites though :/ Sure, its cool that the Pokemon moves, but I feel that it looks too pixelated. At least with the backsrpites of previous games your Pokemon didn't totally look like it was made from blocks, knowing me, I'll probably grow to love this though.

The battle styles are what impressed me the most about Black and White. No longer do we have to stare at a bunch of immobile pixels on a DS screen, even if they were animated by a couple of frames. The battles seem much more livelier and even a bit funner. If only this was on 3DS, then who knows how much fun that would be. xDD But I'm satisfied enough, as is.

I'm glad about the introduction of triple battles. The screen does look cluttered at times judging from the very few screenshots I've seen, but the concept looks like it will be executed well. I've been hearing quite a lot about how the new movements look too "pixelated", but I'll have to play for myself to accurately give an opinion... I like the Generation 4 back sprites, though; they oozed with large juicy DS-graphics goodness! (mostly evident when compared to the palette of Generation 3 games)

Previously, just like Poke Ball release animations, animated sprites were like a blip on the radar that is a Pokemon battle - they only lasted for a few seconds, and would essentially be a waste for drawn-out battles where switching or fainting is minimally seen. Now, they seem to have much more of a lively presence in battle, and I've heard that move animations have been sped up considerably, which is nice.

I'm not sure why this wasn't done in BW either, but weather effects should be ongoing, i.e. it should show rain in the battle screen until it actually stops raining. The little indicator on the bottom screen is nice, but I just can't stop wondering why GameFreak didn't implement weather effects this way (maybe lag?).

Hmm...I read about the new little weather indicator, which apparently removes the time-consuming messages of past games. I'm hoping for a way where the weather animations could still be constantly retained in battle without disrupting the actual flow of the battle. One method is how Pokemon Stadium 2 did it, where the weather animations were seen briefly whenever moves activated them. However, their animations were also seen/looped during menu selection, so as not to interfere much with the battle.

Seeing the full pokemon is way better, I was so sick of seeing only Wailord's forehead >:[

:cer_laugh:

why is everyone is dissing the triple battles?! they are so cool! You are able to battle with your top 3 pokemon! I always had that problem don't you?

Aside from the screen clutter with sprites and Pokemon infoboxes, I assume some fans view it as a gimmick that built on double battles. Furthermore, triple battles show half of each player's entire team (assuming each player has a maximum party of 6 Pokemon).

Rotation battles seem intriguing, but I have yet to try them out myself.
