ASh vs Byron

    What Pokemon do you think Ash Should use in his Gym against Byron i personally think he should use

    Chimchar (Good for fight against steelix)

    Buziel (He has used this pokemon for majority of his shinnoh gym battles and it may prove useful against some of byrons pokes )

    Grotle (It would of been an Excelent time for his grotle to Utilise the techniquie that it lernt form Pauls Torterra and i think bastiadon vs Grotle would be awsome)

    So what do u think and so sorry for all spelling errors Im not that good a spelling

    I think the list has already been stated and i think he is using Chimchar buziel and glisor
     
    We already know Chimchar will be his main attacker (I personally forsee an evolution... we saw chimchar battling ALL three of byron's pokemon) and Buizel/Gliscor will be his other two.

    It's not hard to watch the promo of the next episode :P

    EDIT: To Clarify, the preview for the new episode showed all three of them battling Byron's pokemon. However, Chimchar was physically seen battling all three. So I personally think he'll become a Monferno.

    I think obviously:

    Chimchar: Will be super-effective againest all of Byron's Pokemon.

    Buizel: Just because he always uses Buizel

    Gliscor: Because it says on Serebii that he's apparently learnt fire fang.
     
    I say Chimchar, Buizel, and Gliscor (since he's never had a battle yet, he's more experienced in a way now, and he learned FIRE FANG! yeah!) but
    lets see if we get chimchar to evolve, that will be quite interesting!
     
    It's been confirmed in the preview that Hikozaru, Buoysel and Glion will be used in the battle against Tougan. I'd rather have seen Hayashigame used over Buoysel - the water rat's been in every Gym battle since Sumomo, and was also used in the Mikuri Cup. I agree with hothead in that Hayashigame could have shown off its defensive techniques, but it seems that training is going to have to wait until the Gym battle with Denzi, presumably (I can't see Satoshi choosing Hayahsigame to go up against Suzuna, can you?).
     
    um...may I ask who is Denzi and Susana...I really do not know hte Jap. names just eh US ones...srry!
     
    Assuming ridiculously basic logic,

    Denzi = Volkner
    Suzuna = Candice

    The battle has Chimchar (Hikozaru), Buizel (Buoysel), and Gliscor (Glion) (<3) in it. Grotle (Hayagishame) should be taking Buizel's place due to Buizel's massive, massive overuse, but regardless, it is logical to use a Water-type when it has type advantage against Bastiodon (part-Rock) and Steelix (part-Ground). Still, since Grotle is learning to use its defensive abilities better, it does make sense to use it for the sake of testing it out. But I think Ash was just playing it safe.

    Just...for the love of God, Ash, stop using Buizel so goddamn much.
    (Is it just me, or are all the main characters' Water-types camerawhoring? :#)

    Denji/Denzi=Volkner
    Suzuna(It's zuna..).=Candice...
    Anywaym it's going to be Chimchar, Buizel (Again...), and Giscor (YAY! MOESCOR!!!!).

    It's definitely not just you. My friend and I have both noticed how the writers seem all too eager to show off Buoysel and Pochama, whereas I can't remember Mukubird doing anything since the Sumomo Gym battle. ._.

    He hasn't, honestly the writers are just shafting the poor bird. I really hope Satoshi decides to be stupid and use it against Suzuna. Hey I used my Staraptor and beat her. XD Technically he could, but he will probably use Chimmy and some others...

    In any case, realistically Buizel is actually useful for this gym. He does have a type advantage against Steelix (another overly showcased Pokemon who clearly wants to bea mascot XD) and Bastidon and is resitant to steel type attacks.
     
    Yeah so I guess the qriters are just putting it in a way where Ash is just getting a type advantage...but poor staravia has been shoved aside...u know, if somehow ash's staravia can evolve into staraptor and learn close combat then he cam have a little advantage over Candice in Snowpoint City...

    Perhaps it'll become Staraptor, learn Close Combat, and then replace Buizel in the Snowpoint Gym battle?

    It sort of makes sense, just because otherwise, we're going to see Pikachu, Buizel, and Chimchar in the Snowpoint Gym battle. And that...would be sad and pathetic...:[
     
    Glion also has Fire Fang now, and seeing how it managed to shrug off Inomoo's Ice Shard fairly well I reckon we'll see it used against Suzuna.

    Personally, I forsee Pikachu (Iron Tail), Chimchar, and Gliscor being used against Candice, tbh. There is NO reason he should use Buizel, unless for some idiotic reason they decide to have him evolve and learn Thunder fang -.- (even though he legally can't learn it, the writers like to do it anyways -.-)

    And on this gym: Most of Byron's pokemon know rock moves, Staravia would be at a MASSIVE disadvantage.
     
    As for me, I can forsee that Ash is going to use these for the Suzana battle:
    -Chimchar (or possibly Monferno): Hello, type advantage!!!
    -Gliscor: The writers have yet to show its potential, and it has Fire Fang, dude. Ash usually ignores the type disadvantages and choose it for its potential, power, or for some idiotic reason.
    -Staravia: Due to Ash ignoring type disadvantage (usually), and Staravia MIGHT evolve and learn Close Combat, we can see it used against Suzana. Also, Staravia is knocked off to somewhere else and hasn't been battling since the Sumomo one.

    As for the others: 1) Buizel, because it is MASSIVELY OVERUSED, and when I say it, I mean it; 2) Grotle, who should wait until the Volkner battle, because it can brush off Electric moves easily with its probably-mastered defense (but I can see it losing, because the writers are like that); and 3) Pikachu, because it will DEFINITELY be used in the Volkner battle, since Pikachu has been used for EVERY SINGLE (official) ELECTRIC GYM BATTLE, i.e. Lt. Surge, Wattson, and probably Volkner.

    The theory of Pikachu being used in the Sunyshore Gym battle is fueled by Volkner's possession of a Raichu. We've only seen this situation twice before...hell, third time's...the charm? I dunno. ._.;
     
    Before we get back on topic.
    1. Buizel is overused, but I think the writers want him to be the new Sceptile. Honestly, he isn't cool enough for that. XD I guess I understand why he was used in 4 gyms.
    Maylene: Badarse VS Badarse-You can't say that the kung-fu anti-hero otter vsing the kung-fu jackal wasn't epic.
    Wake: Yeah like the writer's are going to pass up evolution VS pre evolution. We all saw this coming since the trade.
    Fantina: Really, I think its because the three he used wanted to redeem themselves when they lost in the most pitiful way to a Drifloon. >_>
    Byron: Well type advantage, shows Ash is smart.

    2. As I said before, Staraptor can be really useless in the next gym. I mean that's how I beat Suzuna. However, that means the next couple episodes have to be devoted to Staravia development and that just seems like a string of bad fillers.

    Now back on topic:
    As I said earlier, Buizel does make sense in this gym. I mean he does have a type here.
     
    Now I see that buizel is really used because of its type advantage, Pikachu has bearly any chance, along with staravia, and grotle could do really well, but maybe if it gets too much experience it might evolve and that is what the writers do not want...bit maybe seeing chimchar against this gym and against Candice will be signs of it evolving maybe all the way to infernape...who knows, the show has become quite unpredictable at some points!

    Well since the Monferno figure is out, it is probably going to evolve soon then. I mean who knows? That stupid Luxio filler that's coming up could be when. XD

    and how do u find all these figures? I never know where to look to see them...lol
    but I honestly think that staraptor should evolve and learn close combat...
