Hype. Absolute hype. Multiplayer included with the remaster.

Well that's good news. I'm hoping that stuff like the Skill-16, Skilltyrdom, and Skillz X3 won't make it into the game. Well actually, the M-16 is fine since its only busted with Stopping Power. It would be funny if Stopping Power isn't in the multiplayer of CoD4 remaster though.

**************

Well, i'm pretty sure the Kids in the forum didn't mind my screenshots of Brutal Doom and Russian Overkill w/ the Ketchup Gore Mod. Don't worry kiddies, its more fun slaying demons and turn them into smoothies than doing it against people, digital or otherwise. ;) besides, for those with a Roman Catholic or otherwise Christian Background, we were all thought to slay evil and sin. Well Demons are evil and sinful, zombies are evil and sinful. So its all good ;)))

Spoiler:

I'm finally making progress in my own playthrough of Bravely Default. Seriously, not playing the game for more than a couple of months since i got the game from a friend, who sold me the game for cheap, had me worried. I'm finally in progress with the story. I think its time for some Swordbearers to have their faces smashed. WHOOOOOOOO! And weirdly enough, Edea has carried my party SEVERAL TIMES throughout my game. Not kidding. And she looks ABSOLutely gorgeous as a Valkyrie. Dead effin serious.

Also, the "Anime" super sale that STEAM has right now ends at Monday. So i still have time to buy whatever games i need. (I only need Neptunia and RWBY). OH AND RWBY IS AN ANIME because Steam users tagged it that way. Just kiddin on that part.

Ahahaha, got you back into it =P

One thing that confuses me a bit though is how Bravely Default can be so popular when it's inspiration, FF 4 Heroes of Light, is often so overlooked. Sure, it's not particularly impressive technically or anything, but it's definitely one of the hardest Final Fantasy titles out there...even grinding it puts you through your paces. Kinda tempted to go back to it actually, I've been playing far too many easy games recently.

I don't like leaving save files for more than half a year. It makes me feel like i left out something.

Then i remember, I need to finish another save file in a different game. And then, i need to play more games of League of Legends else i might be drained out of mechanics? AND THEN.. AND THEN!? AND THEN MORE AND THENS LATER........... MORE AND THENS LATER....... I just said, screw it. I'll play everything tomorrow. Brutal Doom needs some game time.

Everyone needs to make a habit of arranging their gaming scheds. I'm starting to remember my previous (and long time ago) Pro-gaming experience when our head coach + the team managers would actually arrange certain gaming hours + non gaming hours.

If I leave games for that long I tend to just restart them...or go back to them at least a year later if I'm so far along I wouldn't want to restart straight away. I find it difficult to pick up where I left off if too much time has passed.

I used to be really good with finishing what I started; now I just hop all over the place depending on what I feel like, especially now that I'm not trophy whoring. But then, I have more games than I used to - I'd get maybe one or two new games a year as a kid so I had to make them last. This week I've had six new games, seven if Yokai Watch comes today. So yeah. Spoilt for choice. xD

Also, 4000th post. Yay?

Animu Steam sale, you say...
Urrghh I didn't want to buy it through Steam, but I might end up buying that VN I've been wanting. While only 5 dollars off, it's difficult for me to ignore even small savings... Although I won't play it until at least another month probably, since I want to finish Xenoblade Chronicles first and have irl **** I've been procrastinating on I should settle.

Sales and eBay are both my saviour and my curse...I buy so many games I don't really need and take forever to get around to, but would never get the chance to play otherwise, haha. The problem with buying mostly Japanese titles is they have ridiculously limited stock, so if I don't buy them immediately I'll probably wind up paying more...you wouldn't believe how long it took me to find copies of the Etrian Odyssey 3DS titles for a reasonable price because I didn't get them straight away ._.

I'm actually looking to expand/rebuild my DS collection at the moment, though...still need Children of Mana, Avalon Code, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume, Atelier Annie (god I want this one something awful), Dragon Ball: Origins (both of them) and Radiant Historia, amongst others.

Lord Gaben, our savior and king, wants you to buy. He promises that "everything will be alright"

There is no curse when you make the deal with the Lord Master King. Gaben promises only good things from his sales. Everything you want. Achievement. POWER. FUN. WOMEN (and in other people's cases, MEN). ENDLESS BLESSINGS. Your inner desires all fulfilled.

...nope. Not really feeling it.

On the subject of sales, GAME and Nintendo UK clearly have no idea what a sale price actually is. It's depressing looking through their deals and finding £2-3 only off the RRP. THAT IS NOT A DEAL. The fact that games (AAA titles at least) depreciate rapidly in value only makes it all the more insulting...I get that high street retailers need a profit, but online stores? Nope. No way.

Wintendo needs to learn more from the lord and master of sales, but then again, Gabe Newell wouldn't even try teaching them a crash course on Summer Sales even for 5 minutes unless they pay him some Nintendbucks.

Also I'm already saving up for Metroid Prime: Federation Force after I get DOOM 4 because I need to have a handheld First Person Shooter, and a wintendo based one would help so much. Also, its Metroid, and I already imagine Samus ripping some alien's head off with her mech suit hands.. Oh wait we don't play as Samus in Federation Force but as a Male Marine... okay I'm still down with it. A Galatic Fed Marine ripping an enemy alien's head off is equally Euphoric..

(and yes we all know that Metroid FF won't have that level of graphic violence because nintendo is a bunch of wusses would like to keep a squakey clean image in gaming :P. That can only appear in my demented imagination )

You're actually going to buy that? Well, rather you than me. It takes all sorts, I guess. But I honestly hope Federation Force utterly fails in the sales department - Nintendo need to actually pay attention to their fans from time-to-time. If they're going to release a spinoff like that, they should at least announce a new proper instalment in the series, or reassure fans that one is coming. Blatantly ignoring negative fan response doesn't make it go away.

Or they could just fire someone not related to it to appease the fans, I suppose. Because hey, it's worked before, right?

Damn you guys talk alot in a short time. How the hell am I supposed to reply to all this.

Without quotes, that's how. 'Cause screw effort.

Uhhhh, lessee...the anime sale's not bad. Just make sure you're getting a good deal if you do intend to buy something by using "isthereanydeal" or Enhanced Steam and then going to the page in a browser to see if there aren't better deals elsewhere or that you're getting a deal at all.. As I can almost guarantee that most of these will have equal/better deals during the Summer sale. These things are your friends and you should take advantage of them as Steam buyers.

@Lis, honestly don't know why you don't want to buy this VN on Steam considering it's cheaper here and, if it's censored, there's definitely a patch.

Um...4 Heroes of Light. Lack of exposure, and it's rarely mentioned in regard to Bravely Default.

Also, @Mel, I honestly think you should casually get into PC gaming. I know there are a lot of games on there that you specificially'd enjoy but can't otherwise due to lack of availability. Not saying you should become a PC gamer, but if you're really trying to broaden your horizons, why not look on that gaming platform that you already own and don't really utilize?

Which is weird, because without 4 Heroes it's doubtful that there would be a Bravely Default...at least, not in its current form. It's only because of 4 Heroes that I gave BD a chance in the first place...well, maybe not, but it was a big factor in my decision to play it.

I've always been wary of/averse to PC gaming. My laptop probably (don't quote me on that, I'm not sure) isn't ideal for running a lot of games, and I spend a hell of a lot of time on it as it is. Plus there are the Steam Sales...they might be a good thing for other people, but my spending habits are pretty out of control sometimes. I've been very wary of opening up that particular can of worms because I get the feeling that once I start, I won't stop. I don't do things casually, haha, especially not gaming: it's my primary hobby after all. I've never really looked at the Steam Store, though...it'd be like staring into the abyss. Or peeking over the edge of a cliff with someone who doesn't like me standing behind me.

Really, it's always been such a huge thing to me that has such ridiculously high entry barriers...like Naruto, or D&D. Or, I suppose if you want to keep the examples relevant, it's like trying to get into the Disgaea series when you've never played a tactical RPG before. Mostly I've avoided it by never really looking into it, because I don't know where to start and I'm not sure if it'd be a good idea for me to start, because I know my gaming habits and spending habits...and lack of self control in those areas. xD

That said, there is a distinct possibility I'll be getting an iPhone (maybe a 64GB SE...or maybe something a bit cheaper. £30 a month is a lot. But when the 16GB one is £24 a month it seems more logical to get the bigger one when the difference in cost is so minimal) on contract next Saturday, so that could open me up to smartphone gaming, so...eh, anything is possible I suppose. Well, anything except me getting another Microsoft console. In truth a part of me would LOVE to get into PC gaming, but as I said...entry barriers.

...not sure where all that came from.

Aaaaaanywhos, my copy of Yokai Watch turned up this afternoon! That'll be my next game once I'm done wit my current BD playthrough. Yayz.

The thing with PC really is that while most of the time, a good and well built PC can last for a couple of years before games once again try to push through with their tech. I remember back in the 2000s which i think is where PC started to continue its awesome that its easy to keep a low to mid-tier PC and still play a lot of great and solid games. We can thank Crytek for making the first bloody move in overpushing PC hardware capabilities though with the very first Far Cry, thus influencing a trend. I can understand why a lot of Console-based people prefer such than PC though. Building a PC, which I'm in the process of doing, is time consuming at best, but honestly, building a good one is still cheaper than buying one. At least when you do build your own, you get to pick the gears that you want, and be able to set your own budget on it too.

I mean, consoles do have their long spans. PS3 seems to have lasted quite a while now but obviously because its a 2006 relic that still stands today, XBox360 as from what I've read has currently stopped in production, so the chances of one buying a 360 is pretty much dead gone..

I mean, when it comes to simply "playing ye olde games that were cool and still is", heck PC may be the king of it. Oh you have a Win 7 or Win 10 OS but you wanna play those DOS or even Pre WIN XP games that your older than thou friends played before? Highly doable. Sourceports of old games such as Doom, Decent, and Duke Nuken 3D (just to mention a few, and they all start with the D) exist to make playing these great classics doable on a modern OS AND WITH EVEN MORE ENHANCEMENTS that were not possible with the original game and the tech it had back then. Some games can be ran in modern OSes because for some reason their coding allows it to. Yes there are still some games that can't be ran on a modern OS because of whatever reasons, that's why we do have actual hackers or super tech guys to help us, like Halo 1 for the PC.

In a less serious note, I just saw Terminator GENISYS a while ago with my Dad, and i thought it was just not a good Terminator movie, but it was still watchable. Emilia Clarke = I approve. Oh and more importantly, it further validates my point that we need a game highly dedicated to Arnold Schwarzenegger, where he would be the star of the game, provide all of the voice acting and even the likenesses (doesn't matter if its Old man Arnie or its 80s-90s Arnie, as long as its ARNIE!), have him wield a Shotgun, blow some faces off, spit out one liners like a real champion, and have every reference to all of the ANHULD movies, including the Expendables. Oh and I'm not referring to Duke Nukem. We can forget about DNF and just play Duke Nukem 3D.

HOLY SHEEPSTORM. I don't even know what I'm talking about. Terminator GENISYS A watchable film!? OOHOHOHOHOHOHO Only a drunk young man would say such things.

I have Windows 8.1...I'm not upgrading. They can nag me all they like, I am NOT upgrading. I'll get Windows 10 on my next laptop in a couple of years (this one is still fairly new and, unless my laptop breaks beyond repair, I upgrade every three years or so) but this one is staying 8.1. I suppose that could make it obsolete pretty quick if it isn't already, but if I was going to PC game I'd play either old games or PC-only titles that'll never come to consoles, so that probably wouldn't matter. Probably.

I am itching to play FFXII again though, I have to admit. PC would be a good way to go about it, since I'm not digging my PS2 out of the attic. That said, I have no idea where to start with these things. Filesize is an issue too...blargh. Too many considerations for PC gaming really, at least with a handheld/console I know all I need to do is put the disc in and it'll run.

I've seen Terminator Genisys...ehh. I've seen better, but I've seen a lot worse. It was at least better than the Predator reboot; that was just plain bad. The Terminator game on the Megadrive was pretty awesome back in the day. From what I remember it wasn't too hard for me (unlike Revenge of Shinobi, which was just brutal) and I liked the film, even if it scared me a little at points. I was a fragile little kid. xD

Having beaten SOTN, and getting completely turned off by the game thanks to the godawful second half, I decided to finally complete my playthrough of all the Metroidvanias. That entails playing the 9nly game I have not yet played, Portrait of Ruin. I am 3 hours in, and quite surprises that Dracula's Castle is apparently small, only 3 areas in and I'm at like 60% map completion, but my god is this game PERFECT. First off the game is meant to be played after SOTN, I am convinced its the onpy way. So many recurring enemiea and map style, its like this is Castlevania ressurected just after the ecents of SOTN, unlike the Sorrow duology which was Castlevania after 1999. SEcond, I have no idea were to start gushing about the game. The amazing valls to the fucking walls spundtrack? The great dual character system, with you beating the ever living shit out of evil with the literary classic Don Quixote? Or the excellent quest system that gives you incentive to explore the really open end castle? I have seen so much negativity syrround the gme, and I am baffled as to why exactly this is. Castlevania fans are worse then Zelda fans, I'm convixed by this.

Just Square Enix titles in general suffer from this really. The amount of crap I went through getting FFXIV to work on my PS4 was unbelievable...on top of getting an account set up and verified, I then had a ridiculously huge mandatory installation to set up - which needed to be done online, and kept crashing due to server errors, making me lose large chunks of progress - and then I had to cancel automatic renewal of payments, which meant I had to re-enter all of my credentials yet again to get them to confirm it. This ignores all the times the server crashed for no apparent reason - in dead hours too, as I was playing on a US server - as well.

I'm pretty sure they'd make you run through rings to play handheld titles if they could get away with it. Square Enix are all about getting as much money as they can, but when it comes to providing a good quality service? Nope. Forget it.

I'm shocked they're getting away with this. It's almost as bad as Ubisoft or whatnot. Although SE puts out titles worth playing.

Anyways, an hour later I get my verification email, so I can finally run FFVIII. I'm surprised though that it requires such an account for their system. It's so ass-backward.
That's precisely why they're getting away with it with minimal complaints - they have a reputation for making good games in the past, which they've been using to peddle their crappier new ones and awful online services for years now. Still, it could be worse: I don't think they've ever perpetuated that DRM rubbish that was all the rage a few years back. EA just loved that stuff.

I guess you need an online account for FFVIII for the Steam achievements, although that is pretty ridiculous, yeah. It's quite insulting being asked to confirm that you did indeed acquire a game and that you're entitled to play it. It's one of the reasons I've always been against digital-only titles: you're getting a license, not a product. It's too easy to lose permission of what is rightfully yours...or take forever to acquire it when it should be as simple as one or two clicks of a button ._.

I just got home from a successful RL get together with a friend/date with a certain female friend of mine, so I'm such a good mood, time to interrupt your mindful ranting on Square Enix with some screenshot advertising!

This is how i imagine me, my friends, my lovely fellow guys and ladies of PC, fighting the forces of EVIL by SHOOTING THEIR D**KS OFF! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Also, is it me or is Ruler/Jeanne D' Arc one of the most attractive newer Nasuverse/Fate characters ever? Short blonde hair? Competent bust size, and adorable facial expressions? There's a reason she's my favorite unit in Fate/Grand Order

Spoiler:

Animu steam sale is about to end in a few hours. Better get buying. Lord Gaben knows what we want.

Glad you had a good time, Xin~

Anything worth buying in that sale? I'm looking into Steam and I'd hate to miss something...but I have no idea what I'm looking at beyond those titles I've already played on consoles, honestly =/

Well ladies and dudes, i think its time for us to play a lil game of "What's wrong with my Steam Library"

[PokeCommunity.com] Back to the Grind(stone)

Can anyone guess something unusual?

A) WHERE'S CSGO and DOTA2? I THOUGHT YOU SUPPORT VALVE?
B) Where's YOUR PREORDER OF DOOM 4?
C) There's something out of place in that library
D) YOUR STEAM ID NAME SOUNDS LIKE A TROLL ACCOUNT FOR A DIFFERENT GAME

In other news, a lot of my friends are prepping for Tree of Savior. I used to be a big MMORPG fanatic back in the day but dang sons. Tree of Savior with its billions of classes + hidden classes is going to be one of my most time consuming VG projects ever.
