Would you like the feature to move Pokemon and items to ORAS and back to XY if you so please?

If so, should all items and Pokemon(excluding new Mega Evolutions) be able tomove back and forth?

The code is there in XY, but does that mean backwards compatible?

    What are your thoughts?

Well seeing as how most likely all of the hold items and such are found in ORAS then why wouldn't we be able to transfer them back and forth? Its the same net code and X and Y so I don't see why we cant :)

I would like to think that this would be the case. All games of the same generation have always been capable of trading and battling and stuff with each other, so it should be the same here. It'd be a bit ridiculous for them not to, since interaction with other versions has always been a big thing about the games.

The games aren't backwards compatible because this isn't a new generation - it's still the same one so I guess that means they are "side-to-side" compatible. I imagine that we can just straight up trade between versions or use Pokemon Bank.

I'd imagine there will probably be a patch for X and Y upon the release of ORAS so all the new megas will be compatable

Since the games fall under the same Generation, I'm going to say that we will be able to transfer back and forth as we please. I'm happy with that tbh, I'd rather have the peace of mind knowing that I can revert a trade if needed.

It's pretty much tradition for same-generation games to allow trading and battling with each other and I'm sure between X/Y and OR/AS it won't be any different. I do think that they could release a patch in X/Y that will allow for the Mega Evolutions introduced in OR/AS to be compatible, like Controversy said.

I'm also assuming Pokemon Bank will still be compatible.

I wouldn't use the term backwards compatibility, seeing as how they both practically use the same game engine. The games will be compatible fully, and if the games have any issues communicating with each other, surely there will be patches released to solve any of these potential issues.

I think X/Y will be patched for compatibility with OR/AS before the latter two are released. Either that, or that compatibility was already built-in for X/Y before they were released.
