Bath or shower?

I only take showers, never baths. For most of my life (well, except when I was a kid) it was because of a lack of a bathtub, and now, with a bathtub in my apartment, I still don't take baths because... well, I DO pay for the water... :D .

I'm seriously considering getting rid of the bathtub and replacing it with a shower cabin.
 
i used to take baths until that one episode of icarly where sam described taking baths as swimming in your own filth.

other than that, i've shared a bathroom my whole life and i can't even fathom what goes on while others take their showers.
 
I don't think I've had a bath in years - as many have pointed out, it's not really ideal for getting clean, but I can appreciate the idea of soaking in some hot water when you're already clean, just to relax. We do have a jacuzzi tub, but I think it's only been used once since moving to this house about two years ago, lol.

But yes, as far as daily hygiene goes, I find showers more practical - faster and cleaner.
 
I'm definitely a shower person. On rare occasions like when I have a sour stomach or my back really hurts I might fill the bathtub but I hardly even fit in my bathtub and that makes me less able to really enjoy soaking in the heat. Plus, bathwater cools down way too fast for my liking and lukewarm water makes me feel gross. I'm always having to drain a little, and put more fresh hot water in. It's really just more work than it's worth for me.

I suppose if I had a larger bathtub that could make a small difference in my enjoyment.

Shower is just a good in and out in five minutes deal for me, though. It feels great and it's so much less work.
 
House has a bath and no shower. I've only ever showered on holiday or the like. I'll stick to baths since showers stick one's hair to one's head, and standing to wash feels... a bit dangerous, really. Thing is though, I've never been in a bath that's big enough since not being a small child; it's not relaxing at all. I want one that goes up to my shoulders like in all the ecchi anime.
 
Is neither an option I MEAN

I normally take showers because my tub is so small it hurts my back. But I love baths if I'm in a larger tub and for relaxation. Bath bombs are the best thing ever <3
 
shower boys. i only bathe like 3 or 4 times a year, and its usually with those bath bomb things. gotta love those
 
I don't find baths relaxing at all....I always take showers, which I find extremely relaxing and comforting.
 
I don't think I've taken a bath since I was 8. Showers are hella.
 
I've never really been a bath guy. At this point I couldn't be one if I wanted since I don't have a tub in my bathroom. Oddly enough, my roommate loves baths and frequently takes them since he has a tub in his bathroom.
 
I normally just shower, unless I'm really sore, then I have a nice bath >w<
 
I can't remember when I last took a bath. I just shower every night now. Never really enjoyed taking baths anyway.
 
I almost always shower these days. Nothing like the feel of warm water beating down on your back, just as Castform pointed out. Baths are relaxing in their own way, but the water gets cold pretty fast, which makes the experience not as nice as showering after awhile.
