Anyways, nothing is happening, so possibly with the release of the 5th gen (Which, I know is still quite a ways off), the same thing will happen that happened with D/P, a lot of new users with actual potential will start to join to discover what they can do competitively.

Actually, the hacking section is where I believe a lot of members get their start into competitive playing. It's where I started, and a lot of regulars I used to see there showed up here as well. Probably because like me, they hear about the values in the game (EVs / IVs, etc.) and find out what to do with them.

But yeah, just a rant, whatever, I'm hoping for 5th gen activity.

Anyways, i have requested the approval of a tournament that is unique, and will hopefully increase activity.

Um, sorry, is there something I'm missing here? Are you a mod or something? Just wondering, because otherwise you'd be mini-modding and I'm suuurrreeee someone like you wouldn't do that.

But honestly, anyone that thinks banning leagues would increase activity just needs to realize that leagues seem to be the only activity this place gets. Regardless of how ignorant, crappy or otherwise they are it's the only activity around this place, so yeah. Dumb idea.

Yeah, Ooka is right.
The leagues are besides the quick battle thread the only active place in the battle stadium.
So it would be smart to keep those leagues at the moment.

Yes, we have recognized the importance of leagues on Stadium's activity, so at this point, leagues may not be wiped (so stop the complaining). As such, we are trying to decide how to refine current/future leagues, which is a task harder than one could imagine. As you may tell, we are being more critical with our approval criteria, which includes reducing ridiculous gimmicks (btw, color teams are not that crazy; I have heard worse, so lay off) but still trying to leave room for creativity. As mentioned by Aura, we are trying our best to appease many, although it is impossible to appease everyone. Just sit tight. ^___^

Whatever happened to the "less chatting, more battling" ideology? I see too much griping in this thread; it is kinda up to the battlers on how active they want a battling forum, lol. Go, go, battle~
 
i mean really who cares weather a league is better then a tournament or vise versa
and with the loses of both leagues and tournament new better ideas that will work for most everyone and eventually you'll get a great league that will stay for an extreamly long time
thats just my point of view
 
This usually doesn't happen but I'd have to agree with TwilightBlade. You want more activity? Quit bashing leagues, quit worshipping Shoddy, quit these stupid arguments about gimmicks, and go and battle! Make some tourneys or battle threads or leagues, whatever. TBH, I'm as tired of these pointless, divisive debates as anybody else. Activity seems to be slowly rising, but in order to keep it that way we need to find some sort of common ground.

With that little rant outta the way, I'm gonna go hunt my 2 challengers so they can lose lol.

H&S Is pretty dead at the moment, the leaders have mysteriously dissappeared of the face of the earth even though you guys know where they are now, and no-one is bothered to check it. Let sleeping dogs lie and close it before it gets bumped with

The league has been dying even before Greene left. This coming from an ex-leader.
 
It didn't help activity here, that's for sure. But MMS League is doin alright, and right now, that's all I'm concerned with.
However any H&S members that want to reorganize elsewhere, I have plenty of space in the upcoming Nova League.
