I kept my first Lake of Rage Gyarados.. Lonely, bahaha. I can breed a competitive one later. Idk what my first HGSS breed may be, but it shall be awesome. -where is April aaa-
 
Yeah, both my Gyarados and Lugia are total crap because I wanted to actually get further into the game and wasn't patient enough to SR them.

And no amount of revives will protect me from being ohko-ed. >_<
 
Well, unless your problem is actual OHKO moves, you could level up or EV. Honestly, Red is the only in-game trainer that you need either higher levels or strong EVds(either that, or I just suck :P).

I'm leveling em up out of necessity atm anyways because I'm completely broke. Need cash for pokeballs ^_^

Oh, and finding out shards are pretty much useless in SS is highly annoying.
 
Just go get a Heracross and you win.

(And you can actually get some good berries from the shards, so yeah)
 
Yeah, the berry "Packs" that guy in Violet gives you can be useful. I've found some really good resist berries as well as Lum berries from him. ;D

I caught an Adamant Gyarados. Pretty awful IVs, but I don't care lol. I'm facing Pryce soon, so this'll be fun.
 
Hm, I haven't gotten any resist berries from anyone. Lol, all I've gotten are EV lowering berries and generic ones. I got all my resist berries from my mom. :P
 
I didn't let my mom have any of my money, because I remembered back in GSC that she always bought me useless crap like Snorlax Dolls ~__~
 
She literally calls me after every battle. After traveling down one of the paths available on Route 44, I had about 4 things waiting for me in a pokemart. (Not that I had obtained all previous gifts before heading down the route). I'm probably broke with her, but it doesn't matter, I'm not spending much of my money anyway.

Also, I managed to beat Clair with my highest level pokes being Forretress @ 34 and Meganium @ 34 (others at 33). Strategy was simple. Lead with Forry and set up T-Spikes/Spikes on Gyarados since it can't touch me. It used a lot of smoke screens too, which is lol against a spiker. After I just went all out with my other pokemon until Kingdra.

When Kingdra came out, Dodrio was still in the air (due to Fly, previous Dragonair died of poison) and when he hit, it took Kingdra down to ~50% making it waste its berry. After that I just death foddered to make poison lower Kingdra down more and then Clair used the Full Restore (ugh). And I sent in Meganium and proceeded to use Petal Dance. I won with JUST Meganium left at 7 HP. lol. (Note this was my first time fighting her, and I meant for it to be a grinding battle.)
 
I kinda neglected to train up a Ice Type User for the battle lol, so I ended up beating down Dragonair with any attacks I had, and used Ampharos for Kingdra and Gyarados.
 
Whatever you do, NEVER bring a Typhlosion to fight Clair. It WILL get owned.
My strategy? Red Gyarados+Feraligatr+Ice Fang out the ***=WIN

i forgot gyarados learns ice fand...now clair sounds easiy :)
 
That ain't gonna be easy. I plan on having Nova League ready in Late April or Early May, but quite frankly, I doubt it'll bring any substantial activity. Motisma had the opening "boom" most leagues have, and has now fallen into relative inactivity. At MMSL, we only have 1 challenger that has battled through the league to the E4 because he's just that awesome. Even the official PC Tournament is becoming a joke. Last round literally half the battles were just "Winner by default" because people are just leaving.

Well, HOPEFULLY we'll get some new battlers in summer. I hope so, because it's sad that I was once considered the noobiest guy in this section and now I'm one of the best ones here only because better ones left.

Well....my tournaments do just fine. Motisma failed becasue it took all the Shoddy usersaround here as leaders, and then expected everyone to essentially download Shoddy to challenge.
