I don't actively use them. I mean, I use normal smileys, that just get parsed to those default ones. Though, to be perfectly honest, I'm a little bit torn about them. There's something about those, that I don't particularly like.

No. I don't use picture emoticons unless something I typed was unintentionally converted into one. They are usually either generic, ugly, or too memey for me. I try to avert usage of text-based ones in general though because they make my words seem trivial. I want my emotions to come through my words, not some poor approximation of a face.
