Ok, we have a massive complaints thread, so what's good about FireRed/LeafGreen?

    I have some good points:

-Lack of HMs!! Only Cut,Flash(which is better than in R/S/E),Fly,Surf,Waterfall!! Although if you go to the Sevii Islands Rock Smash appear.
-Sevii Islands! Some people love it, some hate it, but seeing as Battle Frontier couldn't be introduced in a remake, it's a fun area.
-Legends are optional!!! You don't get forced to battle Mewtwo,Zapdos,Moltres,Articuno if you don't want to.
    -Nameable Rival!!(compared to R/S/E it's brilliant).

Hurrah, some positivity at last! I'll toast to that ^0^

    ✓ Having a Female option.
✓ Lovely remixes of the music. (imho)
✓ Bill having a sliiiightly more active role. (♥)
✓ Different text colours. I dunno, it was a nice touch. :3

I don't understand what you mean about being forced to battle Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo, though?

I'm saying you don't get forced into it, like you have to battle Dialga,Palkia and Giratina in D/P/Pt respectively.

And while i never heard the originals, yep, those remixes are awesome

Ohhh, duh. I thought you meant you're forced to in RBY ^^ Sorry 'bout that.

The originals are good too, but the remixes do them great justice. (:

Despite these being my least favorite games of the series, they have their good points.

    - Being able to tell what the Pokemon are. Don't get me wrong, though. My favorite sprites are from RGBY, but still, there are some where you can't tell what the Pokemon is.
    - Lack of HMs. I only use Cut, Strength, Fly, and Surf. Hell, I have an HM slave for Cut. I ditch it after Celadon's gym.
    - VS. Seeker. Best innovation in the Pokemon world ever.

Yeah. Vs. Seeker was mint.I prefer it to PokeNav. I just wish you had gym leader rematches.

What i also loved was how version exclusives were done, i.e. you got Arcanine in FireRed (which i don't have, but makes getting HeartGold better), and Ninetales in LeafGreen. And Starmie/Cloyster, Slowbro/Golduck, Sandslash/Arbok, Vileplume/Weepinbel,

-Sprites were a leap from R/S/E
-Overworlds were way better than in R/S/E
-Maps and builidings looked soooo much better.
-The TR sub-plot on 4 and 5 Island was a nice touch =)
-The Sevii Islands were an excellent touch.
-The Fame Checker was cool, it told you a lot more about the Gym Leaders, Oak, Bill, Daisy, the E4, and Dr. Fuji
-The E4 is a lot more of a challenge.
-Suicune, Raikou, and Entei make this game an instant win.

The best part of Fire Red is that it led to remakes of Gold and Silver as well...Just kidding..sort of.

But really, the best part of FR and LG were the links it made to G/S/C, such as the scientist talking about Silver, when he mentions Giovanni's kid. I also liked playing the original game, then being able to use some of the newer pokemon.

In Fire red there are many good things than Red,Yellow and Blue.In it there are new HMs and many new things.

I loved the Sevii Islands. Fighting the old Rocket admins from G/S, solving the probably hardest puzzle during the regular plot (the warehouse), the references to old games (including the remixes, of course), fighting strong trainers... it was a great touch.

    *LEAF!
*Battling the likes of Blaine, Giovanni, and Lorelei.
    *Upgraded sprites and interface
    *Vs Seeker
*Hints as to why Lorelei is absent in G/S/C/HG/SS.
*Hints that Silver is Giovanni's son
*The Rocket Admins are the same as in G/S/C/HG/SS.
*"Hi! I like shorts! They're comfy and easy to wear!"

    - Leaf was just wonderful.
    - Loved the small text
    - Sprites were pleasing to the eyes
    - I loved the fact that I could enjoy Team Rocket again. Team Magma and Aqua just weren't cutting it.

OMG you took the words right out of my mouth!

    +Female character.
    +++Most beautiful female character.
    +Awesome remixes.
    +Sevii Islands.
+The game itself. Best remake, and because it's just R/B with better graphics, best pokemon game. Kinda short, but IT WAS the best. Did I mention the female character? yes? Then for *insert odd excuse here* I mention her again!

Even though it's my most hated game in the series(only ones I hate) there were some good points.

    -Leaf
    -The Delivery Truck
    -Mount Blaze

    That's about it from me.

-Lack of HMs!! Only Cut,Flash(which is better than in R/S/E),Fly,Surf,Waterfall!! Although if you go to the Sevii Islands Rock Smash appear.

All of this, along with the Vs. Seeker and the Running Shoes. Those last two, the Sevii Islands, and the updated graphics make it so I'm more likely to pick these games up than the original G1 games that I grew up with.
