Man, I do wish I can be as lucky as you. Back then, many years ago, my very first phone was gone for no reason that I'm forced to buy a new one and ask the cell phone provider to replace my number.

Same here pretty much.. but then again I have just been overly cautious as well..

Speaking of going out, I remember when I was not allowed to go alone when I was a kid (except inside of a school), and later when I'm a teen, I'm finally allowed to going out all by myself. I guess being a teenager is not bad at all.

I think it's pretty much standard practice for parents that are concerned to not allow young children to go out alone.

I was never able to go out on my own until last year when I was doing volunteer work, but that was with groups of students I knew from school. And aside from that, I was never able to go out on my own by myself until this year because I got my car and driver's license this year. My parents were extra cautious with me and I thank them for that, to be honest.

I've been going out on my own since I was 10. :3 I lived in a barrio back then, everyone knew everybody, so my parents didn't mind as long as I made it by curfew.

I guess my problem was that I lived in an isolated neighborhood and I didn't go to the same school as everyone else, really. But that didn't really stop me from socializing as soon as I got into high school, really.

My friend Denzel is making an interstate trip to New Mexico to drop off some friends to help them get onto their feet, and I bet you my bottom dollar my mother would let me go if she got to know him. My father? Wouldn't even let me go on a date without 3 weeks notice and an exact time and place of the occasion. I feel like a Victorian English bride-to-be. >.<
