That's why you sneak it in eh? ;D

On the topic of overpriced theatre stuff, I just went to watch the Hobbit, and it was FREAKING AWESOME. It was really well-paced, kept me hooked throughout. Not once did I think to myself "no this isn't right, no this is too different from the books". I think it worked really really well. I especially liked the portrayal of the societies of the woodland elves and Laketown. Very fun movie.

I only go when it's a movie I really can't wait to see like the Hunger Games and it usually corresponds to having a gift card. Got $50 in movie gift cards this year so I'll be using those. I also go to shows during the day.

Watching movies at theaters may be a little pricey, but still… to me, it's actually pretty fun to be there. It's been a while since we've last been to one, though. Not sure how long, but I'm guessing it could be around two months. We may go again at the end of January. [:

And that's why I never make jokes unless I know the person, there's always someone who's offended. Even if there was a joke that nobody is offended about, though, I still avoid making jokes because there's no point. Personally I'm not offended by someone making a joke, but there are people who are more sensitive than I am.
I have a hard time passing up jokes. Whether I know the person or not. I know there's a time and place for jokes, so I obviously wouldn't joke at a funeral or a job interview, or any setting like that, but if its a casual setting (and even in the workplace with coworkers) and the opportunity to crack a joke comes around, I will absolutely say whatever it is that's literally stroking my tongue in hopes of seeing the light of day. I don't like catering to oversensitive people and, honestly, in cases like that, I actually genuinely enjoy offending them.

I'm the exact same way. I've probably seen a total of four different movie titles in the theater (at my own cost) in the past four years. I have to really want to see that movie in order for me to actually go. Though I don't really mind the overpriced food and snacks, because I just consider that all part of the experience. Just like I consider overcrowded malls and stores part of the holiday shopping experience. If I'm putting money towards going to the movies, then I genuinely don't mind what price the food comes to.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I stepped foot into a movie theater to see an actual movie from the big screen (because I've been to theaters in more recent years to see special documentary screenings). But when my parents took me to the theater when I was younger, it was usually for a movie that got them laughing just from the preview.

Still, a topic is a topic. Anyway, before we go down that dark road again, forum themes. I just discovered modern. And its horrible with legacy on. Edit: Might go with Dawn of Champions though...

I know all those posts were deleted because our favourite friend stranger thought it was a crude joke, but I swear to god it was not a joke. It actually happened, when I found out I was kinda horrified lol

I switched to Legacy postbit a couple of months ago and I have never considered switching back to Standard at all.

It's probably best not to post stuff like that... or bring it up after it's been deleted...

Yeah, it only really works if the width takes up the entire screen, and not the center only.

I LOVE legacy omg it's so awesome <3 I can't even look at standard anymore.

Like I said, I'm stuck on that champions one cause the black is soothing to my eyes, and not completely jarring like other themes for some reason.

I stopped liking Legacy postbits after I realized that it's legacy for a reason.

Besides, I spend quite a lot of time on a phone, and it would be nice if the content area were as large as it could, given automatic text resizing is in effect. If only you could set it on a per-device basis...

I'm using The Y-Axis as the forum theme. Before I got the Nokia Lumia 900, I tried to roll with the lightest possible style for the most part just to prevent the page from chugging.
