My phone and tablet both have dual boot capability due to developers. Devil kernel for my phone allows dual boot but I don't think it's compatible with KitKat just yet. My tablet uses multirom to multi boot so it's pretty amazing.

I would find dual-SIM phones useful for me because I travel to Mexico so much. A SIM from AT&T and a SIM from one of the prepaid phone carriers in Mexico is what I need to keep in touch on both sides of the border. I could even carry one less phone :D

Even though I've just said that I want a dual-boot phone, I don't really want one in practice. It's a mess to reconcile between the two.

Eh I don't give a hoot about the MediaTek chipset, I just give a damn that the thing runs fast enough and has some fancy features.

A phone that's got a good app base and is easily rootable (Androids) is all I look for in a phone. Things such as code editors, sturdy but swift browsers like Opera Classic, and other stuff such as photo editors and Unicode character maps are things I can't live without. If the App Store doesn't have something for an Apple product, then I'm screwed unless I jailbreak and look for some other replacement.

Twigman, I'm just glad I finally got you to actively participate in the DCC. :)

Andy might be the best demonstration why we need a Standard postbit option. :3

And you sneaky one, Alex. :3

Well, I was originally asleep for three hours, but my mom woke me up with a cup of coffee so she could tell me some more earth-shattering news. Apparently my dad isn't happy that I know my uncle killed himself. :(

That sounds really unfortunate Alex. I'm so sorry.

I have a Samsung SoC and it's pretty solid. On my tablet, I have a qualcomm and that thing screams.

I think I would destroy my Android device with a sledgehammer if it ran stock Android :3

I also really don't like touchwiz so that's why I usually go to aosp themed or aosp itself.

Anyway, anyone find it strange how every single Windows Phone runs on a Qualcomm SoC?

A bit of differentiation couldn't hurt. :)

I prefer the way differentiation is handled in the world of Windows, though. I can pretty much say "give me your best shot, manufacturer", and know that everything I know and love will work no matter what.

Apparently the Samsung SPH M950 is really hard to root. I tried internally rooting it with Poot, but to no avail. Then I tried One-Click Root, and it stupidly denied me root access. WTF Android.

Also, I just opened my presents for my second Christmas, and I got a 24-pack of Coke. :)

For some reason the letters "SPH" appear quite frequently in my digital life. There's the PPN stuff Rukario manages, my phone model code, and then the database names I used for years. What a coincidence, eh?
