Best headphones/earbuds ever?

Currently using Phillips SHP2500 headphones because I'm cheap. I dislike headphones that aren't circumaural and any kind of earphones.

Given the choice I'd have the rectangular kind, probably military ones because then I know they won't fall apart.

Yes i get free stuff when I'm being naughty at shopping centres and stuff XD

also; before we derive away from the original topic; I also get Original iPod earphones for $5 :D

THOSE are good.
In other words you stole it. -_-

I have some generic Korean brand of headphones. They work fine though. I can't stand earbuds. I have a pair of them as well, but I never use them because they give me a headache.

I love my Apple Headphones. I know a lot of people dont like them and think their awful. And I admit with my first iPod they fell apart after a week. When I got my touch i gave them another go. And here I am a year later. the rubber may have came off. But I just took it off and it is not at all uncomfortable. Very satisfied!

If you're talking about the earbuds, the sound quality is absolutely horrible. It sounds like you're listening to music through a tin can.

Finally, I thought I was the only one xD

I usually use any headphones I can find in my house.

Anything from Skullcandy (I think that was the company's name...) is good for me. Though those new earbuds Lady Gaga released look pretty sexy. Lolz : ]

It's like /g/

Uhh, I do own a pair of some old Sony noise canceling ones, but the best I've ever tried are the new Bose's QC whatever. They're ridiculous.

I've owned many over the course of my music-listening career; I really like this nice set of Sony headphones (it sits over the ears and delivers really good sound; it's perfect for listening to techno, electronica, and trance). Then, another less orthodox set I've had were these ones custom-made for the second-gen iPod Shuffle; the Shuffle would sit in one of the earphones, which eliminated the need for a cable. However, they proved flimsy and I went through about two or three of them over the course of a few years until I decided against getting another set.

I've actually been enjoying the audio quality of this pair of $20 Sony headphones I got at Wal-Mart. They've been great, though I do surely miss the $10 pair of Radioshack studio headphones I had. They were cheap, yes, but probably the best pair of headphones I have owned to date.

currently using some Sennheiser eh150's ($40.00 @ newegg) but plan to replace them with a pair of Sony MDR-V6 Monitor Series Headphones with CCAW Voice Coil for $65.00 or so at Amazon.

The senn's sound pretty good for the price, but the sony's are much more efficient and have a much better freq response with less colorization of the sound.

I find the Sennheiser CX400 earbuds great . The are really good for use with iPods

The best ones I've used was a pair of Shure earbuds. I can't remember what model, but they were in-ear earbuds (they weren't mine, either). The sound quality was amazing, especially with all my Ogg Vorbis-encoded music. All ranges came out really nicely and accurate. I have also used Bose, but I truly find them lacking, mainly in the highs and lows. Mids came out very clean, though. I personally use a pair of Phillips in-ear earbuds that were about $20 USD, and so far, they have been the best pair I have owned myself. The only problem with these earbuds is they raise the pitch about a 1/6 step (and to me, it's really noticeable).

Only one's that I've really used are my Skullcandy Lowrider Headphones (around £35) and my standard iPod Earphones. They are both brilliant in terms of sound quality and looks imo. Yeah, I wish I could post more but that's round about it.

I am the type of person who enjoys high quality audio. Not an expert by any means. For me the best headphones are Sennheiser and Grado, these will blow away any Bose in the market or alike. I recommend you for $100 or less to get some Grado SR60 and Grado SR80. These are the best price per value cans.

If your looking for a bit of isolation, less bulky etc. I recommend you Shure or Etymotic brand earbuds. Amazing quality. If your looking for something less expensive but good look out for Sony Fontopia series.
