[Best Veteran March/May 2011] A new professor in town - Kanto Adventure PG13

The Shiny Bellsprout had seen the battle from where it was watching Kairi behind a tree. She started clapping when Kairi had won the battle saying,"Bell! Bell! Bellsprout! Sprout!"

Kairi turned around and saw the Shiny Bellsprout and sighed,"How many times do I have to tell you to quick following me Bellsprout! Hate to do this to you but I have no choice. Go Jigglypuff!" She called. Jigglypuff popped out of her ball,"Use Sing to put that Bellsprout to sleep!"

Jigglypuff started singing. Bellsprout looked like it was about to fall over. At the last minute, Bellsprout jumped at Jigglypuff using Vine Whip, and knocked her out. Kairi sighed,"You really want to be my Pokemon that badly?"

The Shiny Bellsprout nodded.

"Find! If it will stop you from following me I'll catch you. But I already have five Pokemon and a egg with me. You'll have to go to Professor Maple's place. But I won't catch you without a fight first, ok."

The Shiny Bellsprout nodded. But she decided not to put up much of a fight though, since she wanted to be caught.

"Now let's see here. Flying types would be best against a grass type but I don't have Spearow with me. What should I do?" Kairi thought.

Pikachu got out Kairi's Pokedex, and pointed to a blue buttom.

"What's that do Pikachu?" Kairi asked it. Pikachu pushed the buttom, and the Pokedex said,"Which Pokemon would you like to exchange for which Pokemon?"

Kairi was suprised,"Wow! That's a handy feature." She went though the list and chose to send her Nidoran back for Spearow. Nidoran's ball diapeared and Spearow's appeared in her hand.

"Ok, ready Bellsprout?" Kairi asked it. Bellsprout nodded her head. The battle begun.

"Go Spearow!" Kairi called,"Peck attack!"

Spearow dived at the Shiny Bellsprout. She did not move or even try to move. Spearow stopped in her tracks,"Look, Bellsprout I'm not going to catch you unless you at least put up an effect in this fight," Kairi told it.

Bellsprout sighed, deciding to give it her all. She shot Vine Whip at Spearow,"Spearow dodge it!" Kairi called. Spearow dodged the Vine Whip. Bellsprout jumped up and wrapped Spearow in a Wrap attack.

"Wow! When I battled you earier before, I didn't see you use that attack before," Kairi grinnined. Vine Whip conbind with Wrap attack would probably make a very good Contest move after all.

Her Spearow then fainted to the ground. Kairi recalled Spearow. "Now a replay of last time, Bellsprout. I promise I won't let Pikachu go out of hand again ok."

Bellsprout nodded.

"Ok, go Pikachu! Tackle it! Then use Tail Whip!" Kairi told her Pikachu. Pikachu ran at the Shiny Bellsprout and tackled her into the ground. Then he used Tail Whip, hitting Bellsprout with his tail. Bellsprout's defense was lowered.

Bellsprout got up and used Vine Whip on Pikachu. Pikachu started jumping around the vhips avoiding them,"Use Thunder Wave!" Kairi called. Pikachu screamed out Thunder Wave while it was still jumping over Bellsprout's vines.

Bellsprout got Paralyzed. But it still managed to grab Pikachu with it's vines. "Pikachu! Thundershock!" Kairi called out as Bellsprout kept slaming Pikachu into the ground with her vines. Pikachu let loose Thundershock. The vines carried Thundershock over to Bellsprout like a lightning rod, shocking it. Bellsprout screamed out in pain, and let go of Pikachu.

By now both Pikachu and the Shiny Bellsprout were getting kinda tried. They were both breathing heavily,"Pikachu! I know you can do it! One last Tackle attack!"

Pikachu got up the engery and used Tackle and started running at Bellsprout,"Conbind that with Thundershock to make a Thundershock Tackle!" Kairi said.

Pikachu ran faster with Sparks flying from it's body as it ran. Bellsprout tried to move out of the way but she was even more tried then Pikachu was cause unlike it, she had also battled a Spearow as well. So, Pikachu's attack hit home plate, and the Shiny Bellsprout was knocked out. Pikachu was tried, so he fell over as well. Kairi then threw her Poke Ball thinking,'Catch it! This time I want it to be caught.' The shiny Bellsprout was sucked up into the Poke Ball, and the ball started to shake......

'"Bell?" came a voice from behind Kairi

Kairi turned around and saw a small Bellsprout cowering behind a tree. The Bellsprout shot a vine at the shaking pokeball, and hit the centre button. The ball opened and released the shiny Bellsprout, who looked over at the smaller Bellsprout confused.

"Bell?"

The shiny Bellsprout gave Kairi one last look, before walking slowly off with the smaller Bellsprout.'
 
(It was an ok, battle post though right)

Kairi sighed and grinned. She was happy about not catching it. She healed her Pikachu, with a Potion. A trainer was behind her,"How could you just let that Bellsprout get away? Your so clubless," the boy said shaking his head.

"Who are you!?" Kairi asked. This boy looked kinda femiller.

"I thought everyone knew who I was. The name's Blue. I'm the grandson of Professor Oak," Blue told her.

"Oh, you mean your Blue? The famus Blue?" Kairi remembered reading about him, in the page, he was learning how to be a reseacher just like Professor Oak. 'He must be out here training,' Kairi thought.

"How about a quick battle. I'm sure I could whip that little Pikachu there," Blue told her.

Kairi got kinda mad,"Bring it on!" She told him. Pikachu stood by her side this deturmined look on his face.

Blue released his first Pokemon, an Eevee,"So, an Eevee huh. I've dealed with one of those before," Kairi said.

Blue laughed,"I'm afaird this one's at a much higher level."

Kairi noticed how late it was. The sun had just set. Just as it did Blue's Eevee evolved, into a Umbreon.

"Umbreon!" The Umbreon said, this mean look in it's eyes. Kairi sent her Pikachu after it. The battle then begin.

"Umbreon, use Pursuit!" Blue called out. "Pikachu! Watch out!" Kairi called. It was too late. Umbreon hit Pikachu into a tree,"Now tackle it!" Blue called.

"Pikachu! Watch out!" Kairi called. Pikachu jumped up into the air at the last minute,"Tackle it!"

"Chu! Pika!" Pikachu said, coming back down Tacking Umbreon, and before Blue could call out an attack Kairi called,"Thundershock!"

Pikachu shocked Umbreon. It fainted. Blue recalled it and took out his next Pokemon,"Go Gilgar!"

"Gilgar? What Pokemon is that?" Kairi asked. She pulled out her Pokedex. But it had no info on Gilgar.

"Gilgar! Poison Sting!" Blue called.

"Pikachu! Watch out!" Kairi called. Too late, Pikachu was knocked out. "Pikachu!" Kairi ran over to him.

"See your Pikachu's weak. You need to start training it somemore," Blue told her.

"We'll see who's weak! Go Magikarp!" Kairi called out, her Magikarp landed in the water.

Blue started laughing,"Come on now. I'm not stupid you know. A Magikarp is pretty weak, even if it is a gold colored one."

"I'd watch what I said if I were you," Kairi warned. See whenever a Magikarp got mad it would always evolve into a Gyrados no matter what level it was at, and the person being mean to it, normally got there butt kicked.

"Why? What's it going to do? Jump out and do a little Splash attack?" Blue asked still making fun of Magikarp.

"No, something even worse I'm afaird," Kairi warned. But Blue wouldn't listen. He kept on picking on it. Kairi's Magikarp was getting madder and madder by the second. (I heard that if you make a Magikarp mad, it will evolve into Gyrados, even if it's not at a high enough level. Is that true. I hope so. I'd love to see Blue's face when Magikarp evolves out of rage, and kicks his butt)

Strange Battle part 1

"Ladies first." Chad smiled, and bowed slightly. "Espically one of your beauty and grace."

Rini gawked at him. What was his game? What was he getting at? "Umm... sure. Butterfree tackle it!"

Butterfree flew quickly at the Weepinbell, who without much effort dodged to the side to avoid her.

"Nuh uh uh...." Chad tisked, waving his index finger back and forth. "If you use a beautiful pokemon to battle, you must battle beautifully. Example.... Weepinbell, push yourself into the air with Vine Whip, then use Wrap!" he snapped his fingers.

This guy is strange was all Rini could think as she watched him order his pokemon.

"Free freeee!" Butterfree snapped to get her attention.

Rini's head snapped up at Butterfree's cry. "Dodge it!" she yelled.

This warning came too late as Weepinbell hit her, knocking her out of the air. He then used his vines to wrap her close.

"See wasn't that so much better?" Chad cheered. "Keep wraping it Weepinbell."

"Free!" Butterfree cried in pain as she struggled to get lose.

"Butterfree...." Rini gasped, then glared at Chad.

"Ready to give up yet derie. No ten year old can take me on and win. Maybe in a few more years short stuff." he laughed behind his hand.

"Excuse me....." Rini shot him a death glare. "Ten!? You think I'm ten?!"

"Really? You're not?" he looked surprised. "I figured since you obviously didn't know what you were doing you were little more then a child. But now I see the truth. Your just a simple minded idiot, with simple pokemon." he laughed even harder at this.

"You want simple, I'll show you simple!" Rini's eyes seemed alight with a burning fire in them. "Butterfree use confusion straight at Weepinbell!"

"Freeeee!" Butterfree managed to get her wings lose, and flapped them pulling Weepinbell slightly into the air while she used confusion.

"Bell?" the plant looked slightly confused as he fell back to the ground. He stumbled from sided to side, looking like a drunk after New Years.

"Now tackle him!" Rini yelled. "Tackle that idiot hard!" at the moment she wasn't sure who she ment, but she kept seeing Chad's arrogent face.

Butterfree pulled back and slammed into Weepinbell hard, causing the pokemon to fly back several feet.

"Poor dear." Chad returned him. "Need you be so barberic to my sweetheart?"

Rini made a disgusted face. "If you're done, I'd like us to finish up."

"Fine then we shall." He reached up to push his hair to the side, so it blew slightly with the wind. He pulled another pokeball out, and kissed it lightly. "Come out Wigglytuff!"

"Tuff!" the pink pokemon said as he appeared before Butterfree. He made a come here motion.

"Aren't you just the little gentleman?"

Did he just squeal? Rini wondered to herself. "Tackle it!" she yelled. Getting beat by this idiot would be just too embarrising.

"Disable..." Chad smirked, and Butterfree froze in mid-air.
 
Strange Battle part 2

( A friend of mine pointed out last night Chad sounds like Harley from the anime. O.o That was not done on purpose. I wasn't even thinking about the anime when I typed this. I was just trying to make an overly annoying and self-obsessed character. )

Butterfree froze in mid-air. It looked almost like someone had taken the remote to their tv or something and hit pause.

"Butterfree! Try Confusion!" Rini yelled. "It's not over yet Chad!"

"Oh I beg to differ." Chad smiled. "Double slap her dear."

Wiigglytuff dodged to the side of Butterfree's attack, and before you could blink was right in her face.

"Wiggly wiggly tuff!" he cried as he repeatedly slapped Butterfree over and over. The last slap, knocking her out of the air completly.

"Freee...." Butterfree struggled to stand.

"Are you ok Butterfree? Can you go on?" Rini asked concerned.

"Free." Butterfree nodded.

"Body Slam!" Chad ran his fingers through his elegent black hair once more, causing it to shimmer in the light.

"Butterfree dodge!" Rini yelled.

Butterfree tried, but she was just too weakened. The body slam hit and she was burried beneath the large pink pokemon.

"Ah! Butterfree!" Rini yelped when she caught sight of her knocked out pokemon. "Chad you'll pay for this." she growled, as she recalled Butterfree.

"Oh I'm so frightened. Mommy help me." Chad yelped in mock horror, then began to laugh at her. "Like you are anything I should be frightened of. I've squashed better people then you."

Rini pratically ripped the next pokeball from her pocket. "Oddish! Get out there!" she roared.

"Oddish?" the pokemon turned to look back at her in surprise. She had never been that loud to her before. "Od-dish....." she began bawling.

"Wow you really are barberic." Chad laughed. "Look you've even made your pokemon cry."

"Oddish, stop being a wimp and get out there!" Rini yelled, then covered her mouth. "Oddish.... I'm sorry."

Chad laughed even harder at Oddish's dejected look as she walked out to face Wigglytuff. "Let's finish this fast, ok cupcake?"

"I'll finish you all right!" Rini snarled.

"I wasn't talking to you dear, I was speaking to Wigglytuff." Chad smirked. "But I'm sure with your looks you "could" be confused for a pokemon."

"Oddish, Acid!" Rini yelled.

Oddish turned slowly.

"Wigglytuff, Hyper Beam!"

"Hyper Beam!" Rini yelped. "Oddish, get out of the way quickly!" she looked frantic.

Instead of dodging Oddish ran straight at Wigglytuff. She'd show her trainer she wasn't weak.

The attack hit, and the small area where Oddish and Wigglytuff stood was enveloped by dust. When it cleared Wigglytuff was standing over Oddish not looking tired at all, and with not even a speck of dirt on his beautiful pink fur.

Rini looked down in defeat. "Oddish, return!" With that she turned and fled back in the direction of Pewter City. She was just too embarassed to continue on.

Chad laughed and returned his Wigglytuff. "What a silly little girl. To actually think she could beat me." he wandered off in the direction of Veridian City, humming lightly to himself.

(Why didn't Pikachu level up, even though it lost against Gilgar it won against the Umbreon)

Kairi thought, she'd better call back her Magikarp before things get iugry. She called out her Jigglypuff,"Now we'll see who's laughing!"

Blue was shocked,"A Jigglypuff! How did you manage to catch one of those! That Pokemon is rare. Havn't seen one of those since the Battle Frontier, here in Kanto."

"The Battle Frontier? What's the Battle Frontier?" Kairi asked.

"You don't need to know you'll never make it there anyway," Blue laughed,"Anyway let's continue our battle."

"Ok, Jigglypuff sing!" Kairi said. It sung and put Blue's Gilgar to sleep. He returned it. He then sent out Charmelon. It was put to sleep as well as his Squirtle and Pidgey. Blue walked away grumbling as he lost.

Kairi returned Jigglypuff thinking,'That'll teach ya.' She then gave Pikachu a potion.

Kairi pulled out her PokeGear,"I think I'll ask Prof. Maple about this." She called her,"Prof. I was just wondering. I just ran into Prof. Oak's grandson, and he mentioned something to me about the Battle Frontier. What is the Battle Frontier anyway, Professor?"
 
(I had to go away for a few days, so sorry for the inactivity ><)​

Sean approached Cerulean City, which had a lake right next to the enterance. The lake was covering a large cave, with a man guarding it. Once Sean walked into the area of Cerulean, he took a look at the beautiful atmos[here in the city. There was a lot of fountains and flowers planted next to houses. "Wow...this place is so...pretty." Sean was talking to himself. The Gym was placed at the far end of the city, which was highly decorated with blue flowers and large water fountains. "This must be where I have to go next." Sean thought to himself, although he wanted to do more training. Instead of heading towards the gym, Sean had gone to the Pokemon Center. Inside, there were a few people, who were warming up for a battle. "Why, sure. I'll be back with your Pokemon in just a minute." Nurse Joy was outside, taking the Pokemon out of a young girl's hand, heading towards the healing room. She came back after thirty seconds, handing the PokeBalls back to the girl. "See you later! Have a nice day!" Nurse Joy showed her out, and turned to Sean. "Hello. May I help you?"
"Yeah, I need my Pokemon healing up." Sean took out the PokeBalls, and Nurse Joy had accepted them. He had quite a few, since as he just caught 2 Pokemon. Nurse Joy walked inside the healing room, while Sean was listening to a conversation with two young children. "Hey, Amy. Wanna go to Route 24 and train up?"
"Why, sure. My Pidgey needs to level a few." Sean had then thought to himself for a moment, "This should be a great place to train right now."
Nurse Joy came out of the healing room, handing back Growlithe, Beedrill, Nidoran, Zubat and Ekans. "Hey, Nurse. Do you know where Route 24 is?" Sean was interested in finding this place. "Yes, just go north of the city and you will see a long road surrounded by trainers. It really is a great place to train up before a Gym battle or anything." Sean was going to go there before the Gym battle, as Zubat and Ekans would need training up. "Thanks." Sean headed for the door, when Nurse Joy held it open for him, "You're welcome. Have a nice day."
Sean was outside of the Pokemon Center, taking a look out for Route 24. He found it, the long streak of trainers had a lot of flashes from PokeBalls around the area, so Sean must go there next for training.​

Congratlations Jigglypuff grew to Level 8

"It is a Pokémon battling facility, consisting of seven attractions, each of which is run by a Frontier Brain who specializes in a certain form of battling. I thought you wanted to be a co-ordinator? I would get a move on, one of Oak's trainers has already won their first ribbon. I wouldn't worry about the battle frontier for now, and just focus on your contests."

@FlareonFan - Nice post, nice to see you back. :)
 
(uh, hurrying her along, when I can't even get to Saffon until you post it up)

"Ok, thanks Prof. bye," Kairi said hanging up,"Oh what am I going to do? I don't have any good attacks in any of my Pokemon, for contests," Kairi ran around in a cirtle acting kinda nerous. Pikachu sighed. Well it was to be expected. This was to be her first contest.

"Oh well, no need to worry. I'll just wing it and maybe I'll win somehow," Kairi said grinning.

Jill walked up with her Eevee,"That's right, Kairi. If you get nerous, your Pokemon will sense it, and they'll be nerous too. Just calm down, you'll do find. Even though there's no chance of you beating me and Eevee," Jill grinned.

"Oh yea!" Kairi said,"Me and Pikachu will wip you."

"How about I help you prepare for the contest Kairi?" Jill asked.

"Yes. I'd love that. I could really use the help," Kairi said.

"Here. Take this TM, it will help out your Pikachu's contest moves," Jill said handing Kairi a TM. "What TM is this for?" She asked.

"It's for a move called Swift. You'll like it. Try it out," Jill told her.

"Cool, thanks," Kairi said, using it on her Pikachu. There was a bright flash of light as Pikachu learned Swift.

"Now tell Pikachu to use Swift, and you'll see what a good contest move that is," Jill explained.

"Uh...ok. Pikachu Swift," Kairi told him. Pikachu shot a lot of pretty stars out of it's body. Kairi was impressed,"Wow! What a beautiful move!"

Kairi praticed it all day. Then she got a good conbow. She conbind Swift with Thundershock, to make the stars glow even brighter.

"Ok, now just remember, be careful, your Pikachu is the main atraction here. It won't do any good if he disappears during all that," Jill told her.

"Ok, I'll remember. Thanks for the help Jill," Kairi said grinning. "No, problem," Jill said. Jill and her Eevee then continued to Saffon City, to enter in the Contest themselves.

Kairi and Pikachu seatled down for the night, and went to bed in there tent. Kairi went to sleep with contests on her mind.

Willpower

Rini had managed to calm her tears by the time she reached Pewter Pokemon Center. She walked up to the desk and handed Nurse Joy the pokeballs containing Oddish and Butterfree.

"Now what's with that depressed look?" Nurse Joy asked softly as she took her pokemon.

"It's nothing..... well I'm just wondering if I'm really cut out for all of this after all." Rini decided to tell her. After all what could it hurt, and Nurse Joy might be able to give her some advice.

"Why would you say that?" Nurse Joy asked.

"Well you see.... I met this guy in Veridian forest." Rini began and Nurse Joy nodded for her to continue. "He was a real jerk, and only seemed concerned about looking good while battling. So we ended up having a pokemon battle."

"Let me guess." Nurse Joy winked. "You lost right?"

Rini's eyes widened. She hadn't said that. "How did you know?"

"I've been a Nurse here for some time now, and I've seen plenty of trainers come and go in that time. But I also know that's no excuse to quit. Everyone loses at one point. The important thing you have to remember is to learn from that loss and grow stronger."

"How?" Rini wondered. "What if I can't?"

"That is something you'll have to figure out on your own. But if you quit now you've already lost." Nurse Joy smiled and left to heal her pokemon.

Rini decided to take a walk to think.

She walked to a small patch of flowers and sat down making herself comfortable, and layed back to watch the clouds.

Pidgey poked his head out of her bag and chirped.

"Pidgey." Rini smiled. Somehow she couldn't help but be happy around her pokemon. "How's the egg?"

Pidgey crawled back into the bag and slowly shoved the egg out in her direction. Then he chirped as if to say, 'Check and see.'

Rini picked up the egg. It felt warm as she pressed it to her cheek, and she could almost feel as though there were something moving inside. But of course there was though, a little baby pokemon of some type was in there.

Rini held the egg up and smiled at it. "You know what I've decided eggy? You'll be my new insperation." she giggled. "I promise you I won't give up and I'll keep training no matter how many times I lose. Cause that's how we learn right?"

Pidgey chirped in aggrement, and Rini could almost feel the egg twitch slightly as if it were aggreing too.

( Also why is there a Cerilian Gym in Saffron? O.o )
 
Kairi and Pikachu then entered Saffron City the next day. "Well here we go Pikachu," she said. She went down the road seaching for the Contest Hall. She saw a big red building,"This must be it Pikachu," she said. Her and Pikachu then entered the building. She walked up to the front dask,"I'd like to get a Contest Pass please, and take part in the Contest."

"Ok, is this your first contest?" The lady asked her. "Yes," Kairi told her. "Then I will be entering you into the beginer contest," she told Kairi.

"Write down your information on this form, and we'll get you registered for Contests," she handed Kairi a paper and pen. Kairi went and set down at a chair and filled out the paper work. She went and handed the lady her paper, and she handed her, her Contest Pass,"Ok, you will be Number 7. The Contests will begin in 15mins."

Kairi went into the Contest waiting room, the room where Coordinators wait until there name is called,"I'm lucky seven, how lucky is that Pikachu," Kairi said grinning.

"Well were number 8," said a voice. Kairi turned around and saw Jill. "Hey Jill. Good luck in the contest," she said. "You too Kairi," Jill said. The two coordinators shook hands. They then sit and waited for there name to be called.

Warren grinned as the ball stopped rocking, then picked it up. Seconds later, he spun around as he heard sniggering. Standing there, much to his surprise, was Danny.
"So, I suppose you can just destroy Misty with ease, now, can you?" he drawled in an exceedingly annoying voice. Warren snarled.
"Well, I've got a Grass type now, haven't I?" he spat back, furiously. Danny just chuckled.
"Wow, you really think type is all that matters, huh?" he snickered, "Well, why don't you prove it? Your Mankey versus my Jigglypuff." Warren smirked but released his Mankey anyway.
"A Jigglypuff?" he laughed, "It suits you." Then he realised something. "Hang on a minute, how did you know I had a Mankey?" Danny just smirked.
"Word gets around fast," he muttered, somewhat cryptically. Warren growled.
"Alright, Mankey, start with Scratch!" he ordered and Mankey leapt forwards, its claws ready for action. Not that they would get any.
"Use Sing..." Danny yawned and put what looked suspiciously like earplugs into his ears. Warren clapped his hands over his ears as Jigglypuff opened its mouth, then watched in horror as Mankey froze, then fell over, fast asleep.
"Wake up, you lazy flea bag!" he roared, but Mankey simply lay there as Jigglypuff leapt into the air, then came crashing down into a double fisted pound attack. Mankey cried out, once, before it fell back asleep. Or rather, unconscious. Danny grinned.
"See? Type advantage doesn't always guarantee the win. Training and strategy is important too." On any other day, this would have earned him a slap upside the head, but luckily for Danny, today he was right. Instead of turning to violence, as was the norm for Warren, he simply returned Mankey, glared at Danny just enough to make him worry for his life, then stalked off without saying anything. He had training to do.
 
@Rii - Nice post... the Gym in Saffron is of course the Saffron Gym... i just forgot to edit the post

@Konekodemon - Kairi sat through the first six co-ordinators perfomances. The three pokemon that stood out to her were a young boys Ponyta, a young girls Psyduck and a Sandshrew belonging to an older gentleman.

Just as the sixth contestant left the stage, Kairi realised she was next to perform...

"Can contestant number 7 please come to the stage" came a call over the PA system.

"Good luck Kairi," Jill told her. Kairi ran out onto stage as she said,"Pikachu spotlight!"

Pikachu jumped out onto the stage, bumping up and down on his tail, with a big grin on his face. "Alright! Pikachu flip up in the air and use Swift conbind it with Thundershock!" Kairi said. Pikachu flipped up in the air releasing Swift and Thundershock into the Swift, making the Stadium light up with bright stars,"Now jump across the stars Pikachu!"

Pikachu jumped from star to star making each one spin, releasing gold dust into the air. He never stopped grinning the whole time. Pikachu then landed, bumping on it's tail somemore.

The judges looked impressed by this,"What beautiful moves," they said,"And did you see how happy that Pikachu looked. It never stopped grinning the whole time." For that Kairi got a 8 out of 10. She wanted a perfect score, but oh well, she guessed 8 points was ok, since this is her first contest. Kairi and Pikachu walked off stage with everyone cheering her. Her and Pikachu went back into the Contest Hall waiting room.

"Well, yours is the last one. Good luck Jill," Kairi told her.
 
@Konekodemon - Jill went up with her Eevee and scored 8, the same score as Kairi. Putting them both through to the final 4 and the battle stage, this was confirmed moments later by a PA announcement.

"The semi finals will consist of Kairi against Jonathon and Samantha against Jill. Kairi and Jonathon will be first."
 
"Bellsprout, Vinewhip!" Warren launched a rock into the air and grimaced as Bell sproutsent a vine towards it, missed, retracted the vine and accidentaly hit itself in the face.
"Don't worry...just try again..." he sighed. Of course, Warren had started off just kicking it a bit when it missed, but it had started crying on his shoes and that had been very awkward. The plant turned to look at him.
"Bellllllll" it moaned, drooping its non-existant shoulders. Warren growled.
"Come on, just try a bit harder. You might not care about this, but I do and I own you, so do what I'm telling you!" Bellsprout didn't respond.
"Can you hear me, leaf-brain? I said, get to work!" Crack! Warren stumbled as a vine slapped him across the face. He staggered a little, then grabbed the vine and swung it around, bodily throwing Bellsprout into a nearby tree. Releasing the vine, he put his hands on his knees and took a few deep breaths.
"Look, I'm going to be honest. I don't want you either. But your vines are my only hope of defeating Misty, so you help me until then and I'll let you go free, straight after the battle. How about it?" The plant looked up, chewed its 'lip' for a second, then nodded with a heavy-hearted:
"Sprout..." Warren smiled.
"Alright then, lets get to work on your Vine Whip!" he shouted, tossing the rock into the air again. This time, Bellsprout didn't miss and the rock was flung a further twenty metres into the air. Warren caught it and it cracked in half as it hit his hand.
"Now that's more like it!" he roared happily. "Alright, lets find a trainer who wants a battle. That way you can get some real experience!" At that moment, Warren heard some laughter from some distance in front of him. Running forwards, he rounded the corner and saw a man sitting there, a fishing rod by his side and some Pokeballs at his belt.
"Alright, I challenge you to a battle!" Warren shouted. The man looked at him for a second, then grinned.
"Sure," he smiled with a strong hillbilly accent, "I got nothin' else to be doin'!" Warren grinned. Time for some proper training.

The person facing Kairi was the old gentleman, with the Sandshrew,"Your Pikachu's electric attacks won't hurt my Sandshrew here," he said patting his Pokemon.

"There's more to Pokemon then just type you know," Kairi told him. "Pika pika!" Pikachu said agreeing with his owner.

"Whatever," Jonathon said as the match begin. Kairi and Jonathon's faces appearing on the Scoreboard.

"Pikachu! Get in the spotlight!" Kairi called. Pikachu ran out, jumping into the arena. Jonathon sent out his Sandshrew. The battle had started. "Pikachu! Thundershock it!" Kairi said. Jonathon laughed as Kairi's attack had no effect, as a result she lost some points. "Sandshrew! Sand Attack!" Jonathon said. The Sandshrew kicked sand into Pikachu's face making Kairi lose more points.

'Have to do something but what?' Kairi thought, watching her points drop like mad,"Hey! I got it! Hey Jonathon bet your to scared to attack my Pikachu face to face!"

That made him mad,"Oh yea! Sandshrew! Tackle that Pikachu!"

'Wait for..." Kairi thought, and right when Sandshrew was right on top of Pikachu Kairi called,"Now! Pikachu use Swift and ride it like a surf board!"

Pikachu released one giant star and rode on top releasing a lot of gold stars down onto the ground. Sanshrew ran after Pikachu,"No! Don't go after it Sanshrew!" Jonathon warned.

It was too late, a whole gawn of stars hit Sandshrew and for every star that hit Jonathon lost points, until his points were down to less then Kairi's.

"Alright Pikachu, use a Swift Tackle attack!" Kairi called.

Pikachu made stars spin all around his body and ran at Sandshrew hitting it, with both Tackle and Swift attacks both at the same time. That was it, Jonathon lost all his points. Kairi was the winner,"Yea! Pikachu we won!" Kairi cheered. Jonathon recalled his Sandshrew and walked off in defeat. Kairi went to sit on one of the bends to watch Jill's battle. Pikachu sit beside her.
