[Best Veteran March/May 2011] A new professor in town - Kanto Adventure PG13

The Forest Starts​



James looked up, the sky was starting to become gloomy James had to make it out of the forest and get to Pewter City quickly. James pulled his backpack off his back and looked at his Vulpix, she was sleeping gracefully. James was worried, if he ran into a battle he'd only have Nidoran to rely on. James rolled his hand across his trousers and reached out for Nidoran's Pokeball, he un-clipped it and held the ball in his hand, just in case. James shuffled along and kicked the leaves in front of him.​

" Pi Pi ". James hadn't kicked a pile of leaves he had kicked the nest of a Pokemon.​

" Oops I'm so sorry little guy will you forgive me ". James willingly asked the bug Pokemon.​

" Pi Pi ". It looked angry.​

" Alright then, it looks like we have a battle on out hands, Go Nidoran ". James threw Nidoran's Pokeball up into the air the Poison Point Pokemon formed out of the Pokeball.​

" Nido Ran ". James pulled out his Pokeball and scanned the bug Pokemon.​

Caterpie

The worm Pokemon. The Pre-Evolved form of Metapod. It releases a stench from it's Red attena to repel enemies. It grows by molting repeatedly.​

" Alright Nidoran we can do this, use Leer to put it off ". Caterpie started to fire String towards Nidoran, Nidoran's eyes then turned a sharp Red colour, Caterpie moved backwards falling over in the process.​

" Pi Pi ". It jumped straight back up and beckoned for Nidoran to bring it on.​

" Alright Nidoran, if my calculations are correct bug types are weak to flying moves, so use Peck ". Nidoran's horn began to turn White, then Nidoran jumped towards Caterpie.​

" Cat Pi Caterpie ". Caterpie jumped straight at Nidoran meeting him full on, both Pokemon flew backwards and skidded along the ground, slowly but surely then both got up.​

" Alright Nidoran this might be a little harder then we First thought, let's use Peck again ". Once again Nidoran's horn turned White and he jumped towards Caterpie.​

" Pi Pi ". It said with a determined look on it's face. Caterpie then fired string towards Nidoran hoping to stop him in his tracks.​

" Nidoran spin and hit it full pelt ". Nidoran began to spin, because of this pace it gained it smashed right through the string and caught Caterpie full on, sending it flying backwards.

" Nido Nido Ran ". Nidoran gritted his teeth in determination hoping to win this battle.

" Alright Nidoran, finish this One off let's use Peck full pelt whilst spinning ". Nidoran's point turned White and he jumped up, he started spinning and flew towards the Caterpie.

" Cater Pi ". Caterpie shut it's eyes it had no defense to this attack. Nidoran caught it full on and immediatly fainted the Caterpie. James ripped Nidoran's Pokeball from his belt.

" Return Nidoran great work ". With a flash of Red Nidoran returned to his Pokeball. James walked away from the Caterpie and even deeper into the dense forest.​
 
Winning numbers

Rini drooled somewhat in her sleep in the poke' center lounge. Both Eevee and Pichu were asleep in her lap with similar looks on their faces.

Every so often Pichu would twitch in her sleep and smack Eevee in the face with her foot.

On the table beside Rini the breeders book lay open and marked about the middle of the book.

Lunch had been very fufiling for her pokemon and herself. Her Pichu had taken a small bite of an oran berry and decided she liked it, then Eevee had tried to clean her off which caused Pichu to giggle and roll around.

Rini had ordered a pasta salid and small green tea for lunch. It had been very tasty too, and hand delevered to her by the poke' centers Chansey.

"228770! Will the trainer with number 228770 please report to the front desk!" A voice called loudly over the loudspeaker.

"Wha zat?" Rini yawned loudly. "Number?" she glanced down at the ticket in her hand, her eyes closed to go back to sleep, then shot open.

"Pi....chu?" her Pichu sat up as well, rubbing her eyes.

"I.....I won?" Rini glanced at the ticket in wonder. "I've never won anything before in my entire life."

"Vee...." Eevee glanced at her.

Rini picked Pichu up and placed her atop her head. "Let's go Eevee. We've got a free hotel stay to grab." she winked and they left for the front desk.

Once she arrived Nurse Joy handed Rini her healed pokemon and the papers for the hotel stay. "Present those at the front desk. They will give you your key and show you to your room. Congrats on winning." she smiled plesently.

"Thanks Nurse Joy." Rini slung her bag more tightly over her shoulder and decided now would be a good time to call the Professor once more. She did say to inform her when the egg hatched.

Rini sat down at one of the phones while Pichu poked at the screen. "Oh, hello Professor." she smiled once the face of Professor Maple appeared.

Pichu looked sideways at the moving picture. "Pi?" she stuck her tongue out and licked the screen.

"Ack! Pichu don't do that!" Rini yelped.
 
(Joint post - Me and Konekodemon, I hope I can catch Horsea...after all, it's the only Water Pokemon Sean likes.)

Sean and Kairi had spotted the two water Pokemon in the sea, Horsea and Goldeen. Both of them were all swimming happily, until they both had spotted Kairi and Sean from a distance. "It's a Horsea! And a Goldeen!" Sean was happy to finally find a Horsea, with a grin on his face. Once the two water Pokemon had noticed them both, they were staring, as if they were intruding their sea. "Good! Now, come on out, Ekans!" Sean had sent out his small purple snake from the PokeBall, which slithered along the sand, coiling up into an alert position. "Yes, shell we catch them. Maybe I should of brought some Great Balls before we came here. I don't know if a normal PokeBall will work or not? What do you think Pikachu?" Kairi asked him,"Pika pika pikachu," Pikachu told her. "Your right Pikachu. I can do this if I just believe in myself....and Sean. Go Staryu! I choose you!" Kairi released her Staryu, which started showing off itself trying to show how tough, it can be. "Staryu! We have a battle to win here. You can show yourself off later," Kairi told him. The Staryu just said,"Ha!" As it squirted water into Kairi's face,"Uh...thanks I guess," Kairi said. Pikachu started laughing. Then Horsea and Goldeen started swinning up closer getting ready for battle.

"Alright! I've seen you use this move on me before, so I know it's tough. Use Rapid Spin on the Goldeen!" Kairi told it. The Staryu started spinning towards the Goldeen. At the command of Kairi, Sean also got the signal that it was time to set his attack on Horsea. "Ready, Ekans?" Sean asked Ekans, who then uncoiled from the postition and turned back around to Sean. "Great! Use Poison Sting!" Sean commanded to Ekans, who responded with tail shaking. Ekans slithered towards the rushing start of the sea, over to Horsea, until Ekans was in a good distance to attack. Ekans pointed up its golden tail, and locked it on Horsea, who was still staring over. Horsea was not suspecting any attack from Ekans, and was a rather slow Pokemon. With a shock reply from Horsea, Ekans had shot out a silver needle, oozing with poison towards Horsea. Both Staryu and Ekans were good attackers, and had teamed up on different Pokemon. Horsea was struck by the needle of poison, and closed its eyes in shock, falling back into the water. "You're doing great, Ekans! Keep it up!" Sean encouraged Ekans to carry on doing its thing, Ekans had looked confident. But the Goldeen jumped up and Staryu's attack missed, it used Peck on Staryu,"Staryu! Watch out!" Kairi screamed. Staryu got hit with Peck, then the Goldeen used Supersonic on Staryu confussing it,"Staryu! No!" Kairi screamed,"Try to Use Rapid Spin!" Staryu tried but used it against a tree and ended up hurting it'self,"Staryu!" Kairi cried. Pikachu got ready to step in, sparks flying from his cheecks,"No Pikachu. This is Staryu and Ekans' battle, stay back ok," She told him. Pikachu stepped back away from the fight and just watched. "Come on Staryu! I know you can do it!" Kairi called. This time in it's confused state it missed and hit Ekans with Rapid Spin by mistake,"Staryu! That's not Goldeen that's Ekans!" Kairi told it. Sean did not like what was happening, Staryu's confuzion attack on Ekans had angered Ekans greatly. "No! Ekans, don't attack Staryu! It's the good Pokemon!" Sean tried to get Ekans to stop raging at Staryu, but Ekans had eyes glowing gold and tail slamming on the brown sand. "Don't attack it! Only look at Horsea and Goldeen!" Sean didn't want them to start a fight between each other, as they were supposed to fight against the wild Pokemon. Staryu was still staggering around. Staryu then hit Horsea,"Hey! I said Goldeen not Horsea!" Kairi sighed. Now Sean's Ekans was mad, thinking that Staryu was trying to steal it's fight. It shot Poison Sting at Staryu. Now Staryu was poisoned, but it did knock it out of confusion. It was mad at Ekans and started a fight with it. "Aww! This is getting us no where Sean. Staryu return!" Kairi recalled her Staryu,"Ok, guess you can go ahead now Pikachu."
Pikachu ran out to fight,"Thundershock Goldeen!" Kairi said. Pikachu let loose Thundershock. It hit Goldeen as she tried to get away into the water. Goldeen screamed in pain. "Now Swift!" Kairi called. Pikachu used Swift, and missed. Goldeen used Peck on Pikachu,"Chaaaa!!!" Pikachu screamed in pain. Goldeen then released Supersonic,"Look out Pikachu! Aviod it with Quick Attack!" Pikachu ran around Goldeen using Quick Attack,"Double Team Pikachu!" Kairi ordered. All of a sudden there were a lot of Pikachus. Goldeen was confused now. She didn't know which Pikachu to attack.

Ekans had then calmed down, after Staryu being retreated in. "Good." Sean as pleased to be back in the battle and not in a fight with his own team mate. "Now then, use Bite on Horsea!" Sean ordered Ekans, who followed. Horsea seemed to not want to battle, but to play as it had a happy face as it was swimming around in a circle. Ekans had slithered over to the mouth of the sea, Sean forgetting that snakes are bad swimmers. "Oh no, too bad I chose Ekans, the snake..." Sean said to himself, with regret. Horsea had then began to notice Ekans sim across the mouth of the sea, and then squeaked, with its eyes wide open. Horsea then started to focus its tube-like mouth on Ekans, trying to shoot it down before it could strike, but as Horsea was starting to gather up small bubbles within its mouth, Ekans had jolted up to Horsea out of suprise, ten taking a bite on it with its massive jaw. Horsea looked like it got hurt, unfortunately, but the good news was it was nearly ready to be captured. "Keep up the good work!" Sean had cheered on Ekans, who then came back to him, waiting for the next move. Goldeen was using Peck attack on every Pikachu. It kept on hitting a clone,"Haha! Wrong one Goldeen!" Kairi said giggling. Goldeen was getting kinda mad. It started to swim away,"Hey! Don't run away! Our battle's not over yet!" Kairi called after the Goldeen. "Pikachu! Quick use Thundershock before it can get away!" Kairi yelled. All the Pikachus shoot Thundershock. The Goldeen was very weaken,"Use Swift!" Kairi called. Pikachu used Swift and Goldeen fainted....in the water! Where it was deep! "Oh no! It's going to drown to death!" Kairi panicked as she hurried up and pulled out a PokeBall,"Go PokeBall!" She screamed. The PokeBall flew at Goldeen and sucked it up into the ball just as it was starting to sink,"Come on! Please catch it. I don't want it to drow to death." Kairi said with her fingers crossed,"Pi!" Pikachu said as he and Kairi watched the ball shake.

While Kairi had finished off, waiting for her Goldeen capture to have been a great success, Sean had not dealt with Horsea yet in which he planned on catching also. Horsea was happily bouncing about in the water, unaware of what attack was about to come. "Ekans! Time to finish it off! Use Wrap and hold it tight!" Sean wanted this last attack to end up giving Sean the victory. Ekans replied with a hiss, and then scrolled through the sand, trying to get a good aim on Horsea. Horsea squeaked as distracted yet again, it did not have any time to attack. Ekans had its golden eyes set right on Horsea, trying to get the best shot possible. Horsea turned to side by side, just waiting for that attack from Ekans. Once Ekans was millimeters away, Horsea squeaked and panicked, it didn't want to get hur
hurt at all. "Aww, I don't want to hurt it. It's just a small Pokemon." Sean was affectionate about Horsea's cute look on its face, but was not completely fooled, it was his. "Ekans! Get it!" Sean got Ekans to wrap up Horsea, as it would weaken Horsea perfectly for the catch. Ekans caught back up to Horsea, who was startled, and then wrapped its long and purple body around Horsea, and then got tighter until Horsea was perfectly weak. "I really hope this works! I honestly do!" Sean kissed his PokeBall, he was convinced that Horsea would be his. "PokeBall, go!!" Sean vaulted out his round PokeBall through the air, over into the sea where Ekans was holding Horsea, who was then hit and inside the PokeBall in moments. The PokeBall was rattling, Sean hoped that this would be his catch. "Come on,
Horsea! I just can't wait to catch you! You're so beautiful. I want you to be mine! Please!" Sean took it too far, Horsea would be like his bouquet of flowers on his team. The ball kept rattling and rattling...​
 
@FlareonFan & Konekodemon - Good post, just one point to Konekodemon about the Goldeen. Stop putting wild pokemon in positions where they die if you dont catch them... also in this case you need to understand that Goldeen is a water pokemon and therefore can't drown... because well, you know, it needs water to breathe. Anyway...

A hotel stay and meeting Misty

"Oh wow....." Rini twirled around the room she had been given. The assistant manager had shown her up himself after congragulating her on her win.

Rini plopped down on the queen size bed and snuggled deep into the blankets. "This is so nice." she flipped into her back.

"Pi pichu." Pichu tried to climb up onto the bed and failed. "Pichu!" she called.

"Come on up Pichu." Rini rolled over onto her belly and picked Pichu up. When she sat up she placed the Pichu onto the bed with her.

"Pi pi pi...." Pichu hopped up and down, causing Rini to giggle.

"Oh yea." Rini thought suddenly. "I wanted to get a badge after I got settled in."

Spreading her pokeballs onto the bed Rini thought over her choices. "I already promised Oddish she could battle, but who else?"

Pidgey would be a good fighter, but Rini felt she needed a little more.

Smiling she reached for Butterfree's pokeball. "Perfect." she grinned.

The gym was actually a pretty good distance from the hotel, closer to the poke' center. "Maybe I was better off where I was." Rini muttered.

Upon reaching the gym Rini stared. It was decorated up to look like an aquirium. There were even a few pictures of water types on the front.

Rini shook her head and walked inside.

There was no one at the front desk. "Hello? Anyone here? I want to challange the gym leader for a badge!"

"The gym leader is right here."

Rini glanced over to find a girl maybe around her own age leaning against the wall. She had reddish-orange hair pulled up and to the side, and she was dressed in a white and teal onepiece, with a jacket thrown over it.

"Your the gym leader?" Rini asked.

"Right. And the names Misty." she held up her badge. It was shaped like a blue teardrop. "If you want this you'll have to beat me."

"No prob." Rini grinned.

"Follow me." Misty motioned, and opened a door off to the side.

The door led to a large pool with a few floating squares in the middle. Misty walked to the far end.

"We'll have our battle here." Misty pointed. "It'll be two on two. I was getting ready to close up but one last battle should be fine."

Rini walked over to the stands and placed Pichu on the bottom bleachers.

"Watch closely k? You'll be able to fight soon enough." Rini winked and walked back to stand opposite Misty.

"Pi pichu pi pichu." Pichu cheered from her place.

( not like what I usually submit. But I'm not feeling to great right now. *sniffs* Seems I caught a cold. -___-; Maybe my next post will be better. )
 
Okay I don't know if anyone is finished in Vermillion, but when you are please head back up Route 6 to Saffron. Yeah I know in the games you do Rock Tunnel, but tbh it makes more sense to head directly to Saffron. So yeah heres a reminder of what Route 6 has to offer...

Route 6

Description: A short path running from the Underground Pass to Vermillion City. There are a few trainers dotted along this route, as well as a number of wild pokémon.

What can you do in a Route?

Generally the main two things you can do on a route are capturing pokémon and battling trainers. You can do many other things, you know free will and all that... Anyways, you cannot meet any of the other RPers, and everyone have fun.

Note - the title specifying the rarity of a pokémon refers to how hard a pokémon is to catch. i.e. a much better post is required to catch an uncommon pokémon than to catch a common pokémon.
How I level the pokémon you're catching will depend on how good your post is. When you're trying to catch a pokémon, you cannot decide if you catch it. When trying to catch a pokémon you have to finish your post off when you throw the pokéball and wait for my response telling you if the capture was successful or not. You cannot continue until you know that it was caught. In battles, I will level up your pokémon depending on the quality of your battle post.
 
"Yey! We did it Sean," Kairi said. Kairi's PokeBall had disappeared to the lab before she could pick it up, as she already has six Pokemon with her,"Well good luck with your gym battle Sean. I have to get going now and get ready for the next Contest, which is in Celadon City."

Kairi waved bye to Sean. She picked up her Togepi, and Pikachu got on her shoulder as she left Sean there with his newly caught Horsea. She walked back though, Veridon City, and went out to Route 6,"Now let's see here. I think maybe I'll enter in Jigglypuff for the next contest. I still need to see if it's song will woo, the judges."

Kairi called out her Jigglypuff,"Ok, Jigglypuff time for some serious training, ok."

Jigglypuff nodded her head. Kairi and Jigglypuff then walked around looking for some fights. Just then an Abra appeared,"Awww, it's so cute," Kairi said taking out her Pokedex and pointing it at the Abra,"Abra, the psychic Pokemon. It sleeps for 18 hours a day. It uses a variety of extrasensory powers even while asleep."

"Ok. Let's have a battle, you cute little thing. Go Jigglypuff!" Kairi ordered. Abra teleported. Kairi was confused. She didn't see Abra anywhere. "Uh...it's somewhere around here Jigglypuff. Just wait for it to reappear, ok."

Just then Kairi felt something drooling on her neck,"Quit it Pikachu." She told him.

"Pika?" Pikachu said confused, at her feet. Kairi turned pale. If that wasn't Pikachu up there then who was it. She felt the drooling again,"Quit it!" She pulled a tannist looking arm out from behind her. Startled Kairi ended up throwing Togepi. Pikachu caught her. "Chaa," Pikachu sighed thinking that, that was way too close.

The Abra then used Teleport again, appearing in Kairi's arms, as he kissed her on the face. "Awww, your just so cute! There's no way I can hurt you." Kairi said grinning. She started hugging the Abra. The Abra was wagging his tail in excitment.

Kairi couldn't think of what to do. She wanted to catch the Abra, but she didn't want to hurt it either. Kairi sighed. She decided just to leave before she got second thoughts. The Abra started pulling on Kairi's leg like he didn't want her to leave.

"What is it Abra? I have to be going," Kairi told him. Abra got on her shoulder and started rubbing against her cheeck,"Aww, your such a sweet Pokemon. I'd love to take you with me. But I don't want to hurt you."

When Kairi started to leave the Abra started crying,"Oh Abra," Kairi sighed. She sit on the ground, thinking what she should do. She's love to have such a cute Pokemon as Abra on her team but she didn't want to harm the poor little thing. She wondered what she should do. She sit there thinking, with the Abra sitting on her lap.
 
Kairi was walking down through past Vermilion City, while Sean was still on the beach, with his new Horsea picked up and put in his blue trouser pocket. "Way to go!" Sam had taken his liking to Horsea too far, he had seemed to had loved Horsea a lot, but not as much as Growlithe. Now that Sean had caught his Horsea, he had to think of what he would do next. "Oh!" Sean remembered, with his eyes open. "I forgot about that Gym Battle with Lt. Surge! I better go and get ready then, to the Pokemon Center!" Sean had then started to make his way off the hot, brown sand on the beach, up onto the rocky steps back onto Vermilion City. ​

It was early morning, about 9:00am, and the city was lit by the strong sun, shining right above the Cave over to the right side of the City. Sean had walked past several houses, where people were all inside enjoying their morning breakfast, unlike Sean, who was getting prepared for one good fight with a Gym Leader. There were several Pokemon that Sean could use against Lt. Surge's Pokemon. Unfortunatley, Horsea and Zubat were not going to be a good idea for him, as the Gym LEader focused himself on Electric types only, but Sean knew that he would choose his strongest, and his bestest, Growlithe. The Gym wasnext to the blue sea, at the south of Vermilion. Sean was going to the Pokemon Center, to heal up all his Pokemon, after the battle with Goldeen and Horsea. The Pokemon Center was open, and Nurse Joy was sitting at her desk, with a cup of coffee and seemed to be talking to Officer Jenny over the computer. Jenny had long, blue hair, similar to the colour of Sean's, with a blue uniform. Not only that, but just like him, she had a cute Growlithe right beside her. Her facial expression was serious, as if something was wrong. "No. I have no sign of it at all. Who knows where it could have escaped to, maybe even Saffron or Celadon, or even further..." she seemed to have been calling from Cerulean about something that had escaped. "Well, I'm sure I'll be able to see it sometime. I guess any trainer who catches it catches it though. After all, it is a wild Pokemon if it had escaped...but it is very rare indeed. Whoever gets their hands on that sure will be lucky." Nurse Joy tried to lighten things up with her soft voice and good mood, but Jenny just sighed back at her. "You're not getting it, there has been a Pokemon that has, escaped...never mind, I guess you're right, but we must find it anyway so the rightful owners still can get it. Signing off, Nurse Joy." Officer Jenny had explained further, but then stopped speaking and the screen of the computer had suddenly turned black. Sean had thought to himself, what could have possibly been that rare, and that mysterious, that it had to be searched for. But of course, like Jenny had said, it could be anywhere, and nobody knows yet.​

Nurse Joy had then finally noticed Sean, after she took a sip of her hot tea. "Oh, hello there." she seemed to have been really timid this morning, and more quiet. "Hi. Please can I have all of my Pokemon healed?" Sean had got out all of his PokeBalls from his pockets, all 6 of them. It wouldn't feel the same without Nidoran on him, but it'd feel better with Horsea with him. "Why, certainly. I'll be right back, dear." she had walked into the room that had the healing machine in it. Sean took a seat to the side of the wall, while still being muddled about this rare Pokemon. Of course, anything that as rare, Sean would want. Right then, two teenagers that looked the same age as Sean had entered the Pokemon Center, while into a conversation with each other. "So, anyway, did you hear about that news report on the radio?" one of them had brown hair, that was rushed through his head, he was wearing regular teenager clothes, with hias Jeans a light blue. The other boy had turned back to him, "The one about the loose Pokemon? That one that's supposed to be uber rare? The one that's white as snow?" he had worn nearly the same clothes as him, but their hair styles were both different. Both of them had looked excited. "That one. I so can't wait to see it for myself, it's so going to be mine!" Sean didn't like the sound of that, and kept staring at them. They kept on strangely laughing, as if they thought it was a joke, but Sean seriosuly wanted that Pokemon now. He thought with a rare Pokemon that was even famous would be great for him. They finslly noticed that Sean had his eyes on them, and sean turned his head away on eye contact. They just then pretended like they never noticed, and went into the room where the cafe was. Nurse Joy had came out of the healing room at that moment, and came back to Sean. She then handed him back his Pokemon, and then struck up a conversation with him. "So, are you off to that Gym?" she had her eyes shut, and eyebrows raised, smiling at him. "Of sourse. I feel like my Pokemon are totally ready now." Nurse Joy lauhed in return to him, "Well, don't let me stop you. Good luck!" she lughed again and waved him out of the Pokemon Center, he waved back to her.​

This was the time then, the time that Sean would face his third Gym Leader. He could only use one of his Pokemon, and he had alkready made up his mind on that. His thoughts no longer distracted him from walking, so he carried on through the path on to the Gym. The trees were crowding the entrance to the Gym, with the leaves getting shook by the wind. Sean had then slid through the bark of the trees, avoiding the rough edges. When he reached the other side, the Gym door was open, so Sean had then creeped inside. There was not much decorations as the other two Gyms, it was pretty much plain, but it didn't mean the battle wouldn't be hard. LT. Surge was down over at the end of the Gym, and had waved over to him on sight. "Hey! You're the guy I saw on the S.S. Anne! Nice to see you again!" Sean had felt welcome, and had wandered past the rather empy space in the Gym. Lt. Surge was smiling at him, and sean smiled back, looking a little cvonfused. "Good to see you! Are you now ready for tyhe battle?" he had suddenly got to the point, leaving Sean to answer as quick as he did. "Certainly. I know which Pokemon I'm going to use." Sean was keen, and had had a straight face on him. He wasn't nervous at all. "Right. I'm using my Raichu. What are you gunna use?" Sean knew that he would choose that, as he did on the S.S. Anne. "I'm using my Growlithe. It might sound frail, but trust me, it's better than you think." Sean had shown no signs of nervousness at all. Lt. Surge and Sean ended up on the battlefield, ready to start their battle which was sure to be good.​
 
@Konekodemon - Hmm, quite a pickle Kairi finds herself in...

@FlareonFan - Nice post, i wonder what the 'uber rare' pokemon could be.... :) Anyway, i can't wait for the Gym battle.
 
OOC: I'm back, baby...and it feels good ;)

Warren groaned as he slowly came to a stop. Sighing in exasperation, he looked around, very aware that he had no idea where he was.
"Why does nobody ever put up a goddam SIGN?" he yelled, kicking a rock in frustration. Suddenly, he heard someone snickering behind him. Warren spun around and gasped at the person he saw there.
"Err...Misty? Why exactly are you sneaking around near Vermillion? I thought you had a gym to look after?" The red-headed gym leader smiled, though there was nothing friendly about it. Grinning, she stepped forwards and held up a pokeball.
"I want a re-match, Warren. A proper battle, not some sham which is nothing more than blackmail." Warren frowned, then reached to his belt.
"Alright, you're on! Mankey, lets battle!" Misty just grinned as the hairy primate leaped forwards.
"If I remember correctly, that little furball nearly drowned last time I fought it. So how is it meant to stand a chance against this? " She held out her pokeball and light burst out of it, forming itself into a body; small, four legged and with a large, finned head. As the light faded, blue skin and orange cheeks were revealed.
"Mud!" cried the small pokemon, crouching and readying itself for battle.
"Water Gun!" Misty ordered and Mudkip leapt into the air, then released a torrent of water from its mouth. Mankey jumped and the jet splashed harmlessly under its feet.
"Fury Swipes, Mankey!" Warren shouted and the Pig Monkey landed, then cartwheeled forwards and slashed Mudkip across the feet with its foot claws, then brought down its hands together to strike it again. The small blue pokemon stumbled, but it wasn't beaten yet.
"Use Bide!" Misty ordered and Warren grimaced. He knew exactly how that worked.
"We've got to take it out quickly, Mankey!" he called, "So use a Scratch and Low Kick combo to KO it, fast!" Mankey nodded and charged, its sharp claws glinting in the sun as they raked Mudkip's face. It staggered, but before it could recover, Mankey slipped its foot under Mudkip's body, then threw it up, high into the air.
"Release Bide!" Misty practically screamed and Mudkip opened its eyes, then fired a powerful stream of energy straight at Mankey. The primate screamed as it was completely engulfed, but somehow struggled back to its feet, then leered at Mudkip. Warren cheered.
"This battle sure isn't over yet, Misty!"

Nice to have you back! Wow misty? Didn't see her coming back any time soon. Considering what Warren (or was it bellsprout?) did to her Staryu... I cannot wait to see how that battle turns out.

Mankey winced as it settled into a fighting stance. The Bide had taken its toll and Warren realized that from now on, he'd be on the defensive. An outright attack could get Mankey taken down with ease. But Mankey seemed to have a different idea. Its eyes were almost glowing red, it looked so angry. Screaming, it threw itself forwards into a double footed kick that threw Mudkip across the ground. Before it had a chance to recover, sharp claws raked its face. Screaming, it jumped back and eyed Mankey cautiously. Both Misty and Warren were shocked by Mankey's ferocity.
"What is going on with that thing?" Misty shouted and Warren was pleased to notice that she sounded a little nervous. As if on cue, his Pokedex butted in.
"Anger Point, Mankey's ability. It activates when Mankey is hit by a particularly powerful attack." Warren grinned as the robotic voice faded. Bide might have hurt Mankey, but it had also powered it up.
"Right, let's get on the move Mankey. Mudkip can't hit what Mudkip can't see!"
"Try to slow it down with Ice Beam!" Misty shouted and the two Pokémon nodded before springing into action, Mankey cartwheeling, somersaulting and hand-flipping all over the place and Mudkip firing bluish-white beams which froze whatever they hit. Finally, Mankey bounced down and slashed at Mudkip one final time before booting it straight into its trainers face. Smiling, Warren returned Mankey and walked off, not even bothering to look at Misty, who was actually just lying there, moaning as an unconscious Mudkip lay on her face.
"Gym Leaders today," Warren tutted, "They just don't know when they're beaten."

Aah, you'd think Misty would have learned her lesson first time around... at least Warren didn't only knocked her pokemon out this time. Anyway nice battle post. :)

Congratulations Mankey grew to level 13 and learned Karate Chop

OOC: I've always wanted to meet a monkey who could learn the ancient art of Karate... lol
 
Kairi was running around playing with the Abra as she was too kind hearted to it, to hurt it. So she was just going to send all day with it and then leave. "Come back here Abra!" Kairi giggled as Abra kept on teleporting around her. Just then as Abra appeared behind her Kairi heard a,"Fear!"

"Oh no! Not again!" Kairi screamed. She put Togepi in her backpack. She picked up the Abra and started to make a run for it. Pikachu at her hills. The Fearow saw her and started chessing her down the road,"Don't worry Abra. I'll protect you!" Kairi told it, as Abra had been using Teleport all day she figured it was too weaken to use Teleport anymore.

The Fearow was right behind her,"Pika!" Pikachu panicked as he was running at Kairi's hills. The Fearow grabbed Pikachu,"Pikachu!" Kairi screamed,"Thundershock attack!" Pikachu let loose Thundershock. It didn't do much to the Fearow, but it still ended up dropping Pikachu. Kairi caught Pikachu in her arms while still holding the wild Abra.

The Fearow then flew at Kairi and knocked her down to the ground. It picked up Abra,"Abra!" Kairi screamed out. The Abra tried to get away but couldn't. It did not have enough engery to use Teleport.

"That's it! You better let that Abra go right now!" Kairi screamed. She jumped up to Fearow and grabbed at it's legs, trying to shake Abra free. It worked but Kairi then fell to down to the ground hurting her arm. She screamed in pain, as she heard her elbow creak.

"Abra," Abra said, worried.

"Don't worry, Abra I won't let that Fearow have you if it's the last thing I do!" Kairi told the Abra. The Abra started crying.

"Go Gyarados!" Kairi called out,"Bite that Fearow and show it we mean business!"

Kairi's Gyarados flew up at the Fearow and bit it. Fearow screamed in pain. It pecked at the Gyarados. Gyarados screamed in pain,"Gyarados!" Kairi screamed,"Dragon Rage!"

That was her Gyarados' new attack that it had learnt not too long ago. Kairi hoped the attack would work. Gyarados used Dragon Rage on Fearow and got it soaking wet. Kairi then recalled Gyarados and nodded to Pikachu.

Pikachu used Thundershock on the Fearow. It hurt twice as much since it was all wet.

"Alright! Pikachu. Use Swift attack!" Kairi called out. Pikachu jumped up, flipped though the air as he released Swift attack onto the Fearow. All the stars hit it.

"Fear!" Fearow screamed.

But it still wasn't out yet,"What's the matter here? Is this Fearow at a high level or something?" Kairi wondered,"Pikachu quickly use Double Team!"

Pikachu used Double Team, and Fearow didn't know which one was the real Pikachu,"Shadow Clone jetsu you go!" Kairi said, remembering the Naruto show she used to watch. The Shadow Clone jetsu and Pikachu's Double Team were kinda alike in a way.

Fearow kept on diving at Pikachu but kept on missing it,"Pikachu use muti Double Team!" Kairi called out. Pikachu kept on using Double Team until there were over 30 Pikachus.

"Alright!" Kairi screamed out. Abra was cheering. The Fearow was getting very pissed off now. It would not be made a fool of. It started diving at Kairi,"Ah! Quick Pikachu! All of you at once use Thundershock!"

Pikachu along with all of it's Double Teams let loose with Thundershock. The attack hit an unexpected Fearow who wasn't expecting to be attacked from behind like that. Fearow fell down weakly to the ground. It glared at Kairi, then got back up and flew off very weakly.

"That'll teach you not to pick on other Pokemon who are weaker then you!" Kairi called out to the Fearow. She then checked on her Togepi. It was fast asleep. She decided to let it sleep in her bag for a little while. Kairi turned around to Abra,"Well what do you say Abra? Would you like to come along with me?" She sit there waiting for Abra's decsion.

@Konekodemon - Yep thats fine... since you have six pokemon on you already, you will obviously have to deposit one of your other pokemon to have Abra on your team...

Congratulations Kairi caught a Level 9 Abra

Kairi looked down at Abra hoping he would accept her offer to join her team. All of a sudden Abra disappeared. kairi looked around to see where Abra had teleported. Then she felt a weight on her lap and looked down to see Abra sitting on it. 'I guess that means he accepted...' thought kairi
 
Kairi grinned at Abra. It grinned back. Before she pulled out a PokeBall, she pressed the white buttom inside her Pokedex and sent her Butterfree to Professor Maple's lab. Then she pulled out a PokeBall and called Abra into it. Abra disappeared in a flash of red light into the PokeBall. Abra's data then appeared on her Pokedex as being caught.

She then let Abra back out and decided to let it stay out for awhile. It was ridding on her shoulders with it's arms around her neck. Kairi grinned at him. She looked at the Pokedex to see what Abra would evolve into. She showed a gross face, deciding never to evolve Abra. She knew that by doing that, Abra would never learn any moves. She'd just have to teach it TM moves then.

Her Togepi was still sleeping in her bag. Kairi, Pikachu and Abra continued on to Saffron City. Once there she went to the Pokemon Center to get her Pokemon healed up. "That's a cute Abra you got there," Nurse Joy grinned,"I can tell that your Abra's very young, so help it grow."

'No wonder it was so friendly with me. It's still a child,' thought Kairi. She looked up Abra in the Pokedex and noticed that her Abra is a little bit smaller then the one in the Pokedex. While her Pokemon were being healed Kairi saw a poster about a fighting dojo. The winners will get to pick out a rare stone as a prize,"Wow! Sounds cool. I think I'll try that." Kairi decided,"What better way to test out Abra. But maybe I should buy some TMs from the Mart first."

After her Pokemon were healed up, Kairi left the Pokemon Center heading to the Mart to buy some TMs to use on Abra. Her Togepi was awake now, and she was carrying it in her arms, Abra was still on her shoulders and Pikachu was walking beside her.

Kairi got to the Mart and brought her Abra 2 TMs to start off with. One was for Psychic. The other was Shadow Ball. She also brought an Everstone, to keep Abra from ever evoling. She thanked the man as she walked out of the Mart. She set on a bent outside and asked Abra if he'd like to learn the moves.

"Abraaa," Abra said nodding his head yes. Kairi took out the TMs and used them on Abra, teaching him the moves Psychic and Shadow Ball. She then used the Everstone on Abra. Abra glowed, meaning that it would never evolve now. The TMs and Everstone were now useless, Kairi put them and the bags in the trashcan. Abra then got back on her shoulder, as she walked to the fighting dojo,"I'm here to challenge this dojo to win a prize," Kairi told the guards. They let her inside. Kairi then prepared Abra for the fight ahead.

(Sorry about the TM thing, but Kairi doesn't like Abra's evolved forms, and the only leveling up move Abra can know is Teleport. So she has to use TMs on it. Also since she didn't want it to evolve she had to buy an Everstone to use on it. Sorry, about this. Next time I'll ask you first. Not feeling good. I'll edit this post with the fight later.)
 
Rini vs Misty

"This will be two apiece battle." Misty pulled a pokeball from her waist. "You ready?"

"You bet!" Rini grinned.

"Go Goldeen!"

"A Goldeen?" Rini asked as the fish plopped into the pool woth a splash.

"Yea, cutie isn't she?"

"I uh.....guess....." Rini sighed. "Go Oddish."

"Oddish!" Oddish appeared on one of the floats in the middle of the pool. "Od od od...." she tilted slightly to the side, then regained her ballance.

"If she fell in the water you would have lost!" Misty pointed out from her side.

"Says who?!" Rini growled.

"Can she swim?"

"Uh, good point." Rini laughed nerviously. "Oddish use stun spore!"

The dust fell onto Goldeen who began to twitch slightly.

"Goldeen go under!" Misty ordered.

Goldeen let herself sink.

"She's still paralyzed." Rini pointed out. "What's the point?"

"Oh, you'll see." Misty laughed.

"Fine, but we'll be ready when she comes back up. Right Oddish?"

"Oddish oddish...." Oddish glanced around, trying to pinpoint where Goldeen would emerge.

"Goldeen, horn attack!" Misty suddenly yelled.

"Huh?" Rini's eyes widened as Goldeen lept from behind Oddish slamming her horn into her back, before landing back in the water.

"Oddish!" Oddish flew forwards and into the water, beyond Rini's sight.

"Oddish! Are you ok?! Oddish!" Rini scanned over the water. She gripped Oddish's pokeball.

"Looks like round 1 goes to me." Misty grinned.

"But how?" Rini wondered. "Goldeen was paralyzed wasn't she?"

Misty tisked and wagged a finger back and forth. "Stun spore can be washed off by water. If you get to it in time."

"Is that so?" Rini suddenly grinned.

Goldeen was slowly circuling the float where Oddish had been.

"Recall your pokemon, and send in your next." Misty crossed her arms. "Unless you'd like to forfet now?"

"Oddish absorb!" Rini suddenly yelled as Goldeen reached the corner of the float.

"What?!" Misty gasped as Oddish used her vines to swing up over the float and over Goldeen. The sudden shock of Oddish's re-appearence caused Misty to react slowly.

"Oddish!" Oddish absorbed a lot of Goldeen's health.

Goldeen flopped over slightly, but the battle was far from over.

"Goldeen, Tail whip!" Misty suddenly yelled as Goldeen flew up into the air at Oddish.

"Oddish, intercept with Acid!"

Oddish shot acid at Goldeen just as she hit her. Both pokemon rolled over one another, landing in the middle of the float where Goldeen flopped around.

"Goldeen, get back in the water!" Misty yelped.

"Not so fast." Rini grinned. "Oddish, hold her in place and use absorb!"

"No!" Misty looked almost horrified as Oddish drained Goldeen's remaining strength. "Goldeen return!" she finally said, pulling the fainted fish back to her pokeball.

"Yay, you did it Oddish!" Rini cheered from shore.

"Odd Oddish!" Oddish smiled, looking releaved.

"Let's see you handle my next pokemon then." Misty looked almost livid.

Wow, why was she angry? Rini wondered to herself.

"Go Staryu!"

A star shaped pokemon appeared on the other float.
