[Best Veteran March/May 2011] A new professor in town - Kanto Adventure PG13

Rii;4305477"Oddish!" Oddish appeared on one of the floats in the middle of the pool. "Od od od...." she tilted slightly to the side said:
eek, that would have been short lived... lol

@Rii - Nice start to the battle post. I Look forward to Rini's battle with Staryu. :)

Congratulations Oddish grew to Level 16

"Oddish return!" Rini suddenly recalled her pokemon surprising Misty.

"Why'd you call your pokemon back?" Misty asked. "She wasn't knocked out."

"She was tired though." Rini sighed. "I couldn't make her keep battling like that."

"I see...." Misty smiled.

"But I have other plans." Rini smirked.

"Oh do tell?" Misty smirked as well.

"Go Butterfree!"

Butterfree appeared in all her shimmering glory.

Misty's jaw hit the floor, if it were possible her jaw would have been at the bottom of the pool. "She's......"

"Sparkley?" Rini put in.

"How did you catch a shiny pokemon?" Misty looked stunned. "You have a 1 in maybe 1000th chance of finding one."

"Brock was saying something about them. Are they really that rare?" Rini blinked.

Misty palmed her face. "Oh, forget it. Staryu, rapid spin!"

Staryu began spinning his body and flew at Butterfree, who dodged to the side. Staryu then came spinning in from behind, and Butterfree barely dodged.

"Use string shot!" Rini yelled as Staryu came spinning in again.

As soon as Staryu was within range Butterfree spit string in what Rini assumed was his face. ......Not that she could tell for sure.

Staryu kept spinning however, and knocked butterfree onto the float.

"You ok?" Rini asked.

Butterfree nodded and shook herself off.

"Pi pichu! Pi pichu!" Pichu cheered from the stands. And......were those pom poms?

Rini koffed lightly, and shook her head.

Staryu landed on the opposite float.

"Staryu, harden!"

Staryu shimmered slightly.

"Butterfree, fly up and use Tackle!" Rini yelled.

"Freee!" Butterfree flew up high, and swooped low.

"You use tackle too!" Misty yelled.

The two met in the middle and their attacks clashed together again and again.

"Use confusion!" Rini yelled as they clashed for a third time.

Butterfree's eyes glowed a deep blue, and Staryu slammed into first the float on Misty's side, then the wall outside the pool.

"Staryu!" Misty yelped, as the jewel in Staryu's middled flickered lightly.

"Finish it! Use tackle!" Rini smilled.

"Water gun!" Misty yelled as Butterfree dived low and fast.

The watergun hit, but Butterfree's momentium carried her through and slammed her into Staryu with such force a small dent appeared in the wall.

"Wow...." Rini remarked as Butterfree fluttered over the shaking Staryu.

Staryu's jewel flashed a few more times, before going out and he fell over.

"Nooo....." Misty looked surprised. "I lost?"

"Way to go Butterfree!" Rini cheered when Butterfree flew over with an adoring look on her face. Rini suddenly grinned. "Yea, we're best friends right?"

Butterfree smacked her with her wing and giggled evily.

"Should have known better......" Rini held out her pokeball and recalled Butterfree, while Misty did the same with Staryu.

@Rii - Congratulations on Rini earning her second Badge!:)

Congratulations Butterfree grew to level 12 and learned Poison Powder, Sleep Powder and Stun Spore

"Pi pichu! Pi pichu!" Pichu cheered from the stands. And......were those pom poms?

lol, just for that:

Congratulations Pichu grew to level 3 and learned Thundershock and Charm.
Pichu can now be used in battle.

@Slls81: Even though I've Pm'ed you saying I'll post tonight, I'm afraid I can't do it... and that I have to drop out as time has not been on my side, sorry about this but thanks for my time here and to everyone else happy Rping, BB

@Bemertonboy - Okay thanks for letting me know...

Okay people that means that Konekodemon and Bemertonboy have both dropped out, meaning that if anyone wants to Sign Up there are two slots available. (One Wild Card starter and One Vulpix)...

Onward and ........ downward?

"Here, you've earned it." Misty handed her the cascade badge.

"Look at this Pichu. I've got my second badge." Rini held it out to the electric type.

"Pi?" she leaned up slightly and sniffed at it, then held out her paw.

Rini handed her the badge.

Pichu put it in her mouth.

Rini's eyes widened and she snatched it out of Pichu's mouth. "It's not food."

"Pi pichu?"

"It's proof I won my second gym battle." Rini wiped her hand on her pants.

Misty laughed as she watched this. "Your next gym battle will be in Vermillion. You might want to watch it there is all I have to say."

"We'll be fine." Rini placed Pichu on her shoulder. "Right?"

"Pichu....." she shrugged.

That night Rini and her pokemon celebrated her second victory.

Eevee and Pichu hopped up and down on the bed, Butterfree danced around to the rock music Rini had put on, Sandshrew got into a fight with Oddish after he climbed into Rini's lap knocking her off, and Pidgey sat atop the curtans watching the whole goings on and grinning.

Finally around two in the morning they all collapsed onto the bed and slept.

It wasn't til close to noon when Rini woke. She recalled her pokemon, took a shower, and left quickly.

"Let's see." she glanced downa path heading south. "This should be route 5 I believe. If I go this way I should get to Vermilion City and my next badge."

Rini began walking down the route with Pichu snoring lightly atop her head.

Back at the hotel:

"What happened in here?!" The manager and a few enployes peered into the delux room. "It looks like a herd of wild Tauros rampaged through here!"

(Man...I have no idea how to get Sean to explain Kairi's dissapearence...but still, I'll get on with the Gym battle post)

Both Lt. Surge and Sean were making devious eye contact with each other, both of their eyes were challenging, and Sean's hands were both clenched up into fists by the side of his pockets, while Lt. Surge felt no fear at all, with his hands on his hips. Now was the time to start, so firstly, Lt. Surge revealed his first Pokemon, which Sean knew what it was anyway, after the time on the S.S. Anne. Lt. Surge grabbed the PokeBall from his pocket and swung his arm out. "Raichu! Show them what you've got!" he was looking very devious and cunning, as Gym Leaders normally do, but Sean found something more difficult in Lt. Surge than he did with Brock and Misty. Raichu was released from the round PokeBall, and then made a challenging screech, as if it were ready for anything, even whatever Pokemon Sean was about to send out. Sean could see that Raichu was one bulky, tough Electric type that would send his Zubat and Horsea flying, so he chose the obvious choice, and the possibly bestest one he could have made, Growlithe. Sean digged into his pocket, searchign around for the PokeBall that contained his Growlithe, that was surely going to amaze him and Lt. Surge. "Growlithe! Do your best!" Sean then launched the PokeBall over to the battlefield, with Raichu waiting to see its opponent, which was sure to look like nothing to it, but Growlithe was sure more than Raichu would bargain for. Once Growlithe was out, Raichu had just stared at it, still looking ready and energetic, as Growlithe was the same, wagging its creamy coloured tail side to side. "Let's get this battle started!" Lt. Surge had commanded, wanting to get this battle started.

Both of the two Pokemon were on their position on the battlefield, both looking competetive with the same facial expression and body language, each on their four legs, and tails wagging. Lt. Surge was smiling, with his teeth showing, ready to sneak the first move. "Let's do it, Raichu! Show 'em your Quick Attack!" Lt. Surge ordered his stubborn looking Raichu, who was listening closely. Lt. surge had chose a good move, whick had made Growlithe less likely to dodge as Quick Attack is a fast one, but it did not mean that Sean could not dodge it. Raichu started to brush its feet against the ground, as if it were a bull, then zoomed off on to Growlithe. With no thinking at all, Sean wanted to get Growlithe out of the way, fast. "Jump out of the way, Growlithe!" Growlithe had listened, as Growlithe had wathed Raichu get fater and faster. When Raichu was really close, Growlithe had hopped across to the right side and dodged Raichu's speedy attack, causing Raichu to keep going without being able to stop, and then crashed directly into a wall. Lt. Surge got more than he bargained for with Sean and his Growlithe, even though growlithe hadn't even attacked yet, of course until now. Growlithe had leaped back into its position, looking tough, and eyes focusing on Raichu. "Show Raichu your Bite, Growlithe!" Sean decided to use his more straight-forward attack as Bite was more of a better way to get Growlithe heated up. With a fast response, Growlithe had started to leap once, getting its speed boosted, and then went off on all of its four legs. Raichu was not so ready, and had only just turned around to notice Growlithe running over towards it, causing Raichu to make a panic reaction. While Raichu was panicking, Growlithe was close enough to open its mouth, with all of its sharp teeth showing and ready to attack. So, Raichu had then tripped over its tail, as Growlithe had then took a jump on top of the Raichu, who embarassed Lt. Surge. Even though Raichu was not knocked out yet, and not even close, Lt. Surge did not like being shown up.

"Nice moves, kid, I'll give you that one, but this battle only just started, and it's only just about to get really really started!" Lt. Surge tried to get Sean worried, but it didn't work at all. Infact, Sean just got more and more confident as Lt. Surge got more witty in his voice expressions. Sean decided to snatch this move, and tried to get this battle going again. "Now then, Growlithe, use your Ember attack!" now Sean had chosen Growlithe's main attack, as it would highlight the main event of the battle if Raichu were to get burned. After the last Bite attack, Raichu was rather angry and started to sweat, as if it were ready to pack a strong force in its next attack. However, since Raichu was not concentrated on Growlithe much, this was put to Sean's advantage. Growlithe had charged up the burning flare in its mouth, and tried to aim it at Raichu, who was struggling to get Growlithe, even though it wasn't confused, it was enraged. Growlithe had then unleashed the flare through the air, until it then hit Raichu across the face. This only got Raichu more and more angry, until it then started to let out a scream that lasted 2 seconds. Lt. Surge was also mad, as he looked like he did not want to lose at all. "Alright, I've watched this for long enough. Raichu, use your Mega Punch!" Raichu was strongly enraged, so its reactions were strong and fierce, yet still very quick. Growlithe was starting to get intimidated by the look in Raichu's eyes as it had charged up with intense speed. Sean didn't even get a chance to say a word to Growlithe, as Growlithe was hit too fast by Raichu's small yet tough paw. Growlithe was knocked far back, but this made things no easier at all. Raichu had started to calm down slightly, as Growlithe had started to get enraged as the knock hurt quite a bit. Now both of them were angry with each other, with eyes narrowed and eyebrows lowered and legs bouncing. Sean was still calm though, not trying to be as fierce as Lt. Surge was, but they were still confident on their Pokemon, but little did Sean know what was about to come...
Lt. Surge then beamed out his next command, which sounded like it would've been a hurtful one. "Raichu! Hit it with your Thundershock!" Sean did not like the sound of an Electric type move, as they had a paralyzing chance. All he did was cross his fingers that Growlithe would put up great effort now. Both of the Pokemon were giving each other evil looks, as Growlithe was sitting there, trying to wait for Raichu to strike its zap of lightning, but that was a bad idea. Raichu then stopped buzzing sparks from its red cheeks, and then released the thin zap of electricity in the direcition of Growlithe. Sean tried to force Growlithe out of the way of the zap, "Watch out!" Lt. Surge and Raichu then smiled, as the battle was starting to really get exciting for them, but for Sean it was starting to get tricky. Growlithe had no chance to move, and then got hit by the shock of electricity, and had got a really harsh effect. Growlithe was strongly hit, and because of that, Growlithe was sent to the ground, still conscious, but could barely move any of its limbs. This could only mean one thing, that Growlithe was paralyzed.

Sean was scared, but tried to think of something quick to fix Growlithe, but before he had thought of any of his remodies, it was too late, Lt. Surge had moved onto his most likely final command. "Ready to finish it off, Raichu? Use your strong Thunderbolt!" Sean knew that Thunderbolt would definetley be the stronger version of Thundershock, which had weakened Growlithe enough. Growlithe was still shaking on the ground, while Raichu was buzzing again, charging up a strong bolt of lightning. Sean had then thought of something that could possibly work. He had remembered about the red berries he had picked from the Vermilion Gate, which he thought could possibvly cure something, so this was worth a try for him. Raichu was nearly ready to unleash the strong bolt of lightning, but Sean had digged through the pocket in his bag, finding the bunch of small red berries in the pocket. He quickly pulled it out, and leant over to Growlithe. "Eat this, Growlithe." Growlithe took it off his fingers through its cream coloured mouth, and then chewed it slowly. Raichu had suddenly let go of the bolt of lightning, startling Sean and Growlithe. The Thunderbolt was heading through the air, thinking that now he could not lose, he was well into it and to lose now would mean he'd lose the close battle. Growlithe had fully opened its eyes, and went back on four of its legs, it was back to full health. Sean was delighted to see it, and then let out a quick command to make sure that the bolt of lightning wouldn't hit, as it would still cause the battle to end. "Quick! Avoid it!" Growlithe had spotted the bolt getting closer and closer, with Raichu, Lt. Surge and Sean watching with mouths open. Growlithe had then swiftly jolted to the side, avoiding the bolt by several millimeteres as it was too. Both Lt. Surge and Raichu had looked dissappointed as it was too close for them, and if that bolt had hit they would have won.

So the battle had continued, Lt. Surge wanted to give his attack another shot, so he did just so. "Raichu, try Thunderbolt again!" he wouldn't quit now, as if this battle had meant a huge lot to him now, but it meant a whole lot more to Sean as Raichu was a huge challenge for his Growlithe. Raichu was angry, and charged up yet another bolt of thunder while sparking small yellow sparks out of its red cheeks. Growlithe was looking confident again, and looked more stronger as if it were ready to take a hit, but Sean had another plan in mind. Raichu had charged up the bolt of lightning a great amount of electricity, so Sean had decided to use his plan now. "Growlithe! Use Leer!" Lt. Surge wondered what exactly Leer would do to stop Raichu from winning the battle, and raised one of his eyebrows. Growlithe had then pointed its eyes over to Raichu, and then gave a terrible look of scorn with its mouth growling and all of its white teeth showing. Raichu had looked, and felt distressed by the mad look, and got distracted aiming the bolt of lightning. As a shock, Raichu vaulted the Thunderbolt in any direction, hoping that Growlithe would be hit, but it was miles off. Sean had smiled, as Growlithe stopped the look, and just sat back down in its alert position, as the bolt had hit Lt. Surge on accident. This had enfuriated him, and he yelled out at large volume. Sean and Growlithe were smiling, Sean trying not to burst out laughing as Raichu was looking sorry and let down. Lt. Surge looked grey, and very angry as if he was going to hit something. Sean took this chance to end the battle, once and for all. "Growlithe! Finish it off with your Ember attack! Make it a good one!" Sean ordered, as Growlithe had totally followed him. Raichu wondered what to do, as Growlithe opened its mouth, chargin up a flame sphere that was growing by the second. Lt. Surge was looking annoyed, and did not command anything to Raichu at all, infact, he didn't care. The flame was unleashed from Growlithe's mouth, and through the air, with Raichu looking in both directions and just stared at the ball of fire, approaching it by the second, until it finally had reached Raichu and made a massive shot. This shot was hugely accurate, and Raichu could not take any more of it, leaving Sean and Growlithe victorious.

"Way to go Growlithe! You did amazing!" Sean stroked Growlithe across the creamy fur on its head, as Lt. Surge just growled, returned Raichu and threw the badge across the Gym and towards Sean, who caught it with the tips of his fingers. Lt. Surge just storned back into the private room, leaving Sean to go. So he just did that, right after returning Growlithe in his PokeBall. Once he walked out of the door, he grinned and walked back into the city.

@Rii - haha, naughty Rini

@FlareonFan - Nice battle post, Lt Surge must have been well annoyed with Sean by the end of that battle!

Congratulations Growlithe grew to Level 21 and learned Flame Wheel

First Battle

Along route Rini spotted a Pidgey glancing at her curiously from a nearby tree.

This could be just what I need, she thought as she poked Pichu awake.

"Pi pichu?" she rubbed her eyes sleepily as Rini placed her on the ground.

"I know I've never used you in a battle, but I think you might be ready now." Rini smiled and nudged the little pokemon forward with her foot.

Pichu glanced up at the Pidgey and back at Rini. "Pichu?"

The Pidgey seemed to sense a challange when she saw one and swoped down to land before Pichu.

"Pichu!" she ran and hid behind Rini's leg.

"Aww, come on Pichu." Rini lifted her leg with Pichu still hanging on. "Don't you wanna get stronger?"

"Pi pichu pi." she shook her head back and forth rapidly.

"If you get stronger you'll become this....." Rini showed Pichu the picture of a Pikachu in her pokedex.

"Pichu?"

"Yup." Rini grinned.

Pichu seemed to think it over, before she let go and walked to stand before Pidgey.

Pidgey started thing off by kicking up a sand attack at Pichu, who koffed and began rubbing at her eyes. While this was happening Pidgey took to the air.

"Pichu, charm!" Rini called after checking for her moves in the Pokedex.

Pichu glanced up and winked, before blowing a kiss.

"That's charm?" Rini wondered.

Pidgey dived down and tackled Pichu roughley who rolled head over tail for a little bit, before she sat up and looked like she was gonna cry.

"Come on Pichu. You can do it."

Pidgey circled over Pichu, and unless Rini was mistaken she seemed to be flying lower then she should have been.

"Pichu, thundershock!"

Pichu sent her electricity straight up and zapped Pidgey out of the air.

Then Pidgey for some reason glanced at Rini and winked.

"Huh?" Rini wondered, and shook her head. "I don't get it, but.....Pichu thindershock again!"

Pidgey was zapped again, but this time fell over and didn't move.

Pichu ran over and poked the prone bird. "Pichu? Pichu chu pichu pi?"

"Don't worry I'm sure she'll be fine." Rini wanted to laugh, but decided to hold it in til later. Instead she held Pichu up high. "Congrats you won your first battle Pichu."

"Pi!" she cheered happily and ran ahead to play with a flower.

When her pokemon was distracted Rini walked up to the bird. "Faker...." she laughed.

Pidgey opened one eye winked again, and took off.

"Thanks though." Rini smiled. "I think that might have been the motovation Pichu needed."

They continued walking with a flower tucked in Pichu's ear and eventually came to a small building. "I guess the next route is past there."

More battles......

After walking through the underground path Rini finally emerged only to run into a trainer.

"How bout a battle?" the overly eager boy asked.

"Sure." Rini grinned. "I could use some more training before Vermillion."

"Go Meowth!"

"Eevee!"

"Meowth scratch!" the boy began the battle.

Four lines appeared across Eevee's face.

"Vee!" she yelped in pain, then glared at the offender.

"Eevee, growl!" Rini snapped.

"Veee!" Eevee growled, sounding more cute then threating.

"Now, tackle!" Rini yelled.

Eevee dashed forward and slamed her head into Meowth's gut.

Meowth winced, but still stood.

"Bite!" the meowth's trainer called next.

"Eevee, dodge!"

"Don't think so. Meowth latch onto Eevee's tail!"

"Vee!" Eevee yelped as she ran around in circles with Meowth latched onto her tail.

"Eevee!" Rini wondered as she looked around. ".....Eevee, drag Meowth through that mud puddle."

"Meowth, scratch attack!"

Meowth scratched Eevee on the rear, making her yelp and run faster. Once they hit the mud Meowth let go and floundered about.

"I don't think Meowth likes puddles much." Rini laughed.

"Grrr.....Meowth return!" he said angirly, when it looked like the scratch cat had nothing left. "Go Cubone!"

"Eevee, return!" Rini pulled out another pokeball. "Go, Sandshrew!"

Sandshrew turned and winked at Rini who only smacked her forhead in response to this.

"Bone club!"

Sandshrew turned just in time to get smacked in the side of his head. He reached a paw up and touched the knot as Cubone laughed at him.

Sandshrew looked angry now. "Shrew sandshrew!" he gave Rini a thumbs up and scratched Cubone across his mask.

It didn't seem to do anything and Cuebone only rolled his eyes and smacked Sandshrew in the head again.

Sandshrew twirled around slightly dizzy as Cubone almost fell over laughing.

"Is that the best you've got." the boy laughed. "And here I thought I was up against a trainer who knew what they were doing."

"I do." Rini smirked. "Do it, Sandshrew!"

"Huh?" the boy asked confused as Sandshrew snatched the bone from Cubone's hands.

"Cue cuebone?" he looked shocked as well.

"Smack him with it!" Rini laughed.

"Sand sandshrew sand...." Sandshrew took the bone and smacked Cubone repeadly across the face plate.

"Cu-bone!" the pokemon growled at the new crack in his skull helmet. He snatched the bone back. "Bone cubone."

"Shrew...." Sandshrew shrugged.

"Scratch upercut!" Rini laughed at her own idea.

"Sand!" Sandshrew raked his claws upward along Cubone's stomach, ending with a strong punch to his jaw.

Cubone flew back to land at his trainer's feet.

"Cubone, return!" he snarlled and returned the dizzy and out pokemon. "Nice..." he grinned and shook hands with Rini.

"Your pokemon were great." Rini remarked. "I thought for sure Cubone was gonna win."

"You were better....this time." he smirked. He turned to leave and glanced back. "Til we meet again."

"Return, Sandshrew!" Rini returned her pokemon and continued along route 6.

@Rii - That was an okay post, the Sandshrew battle was good, but Eevee's battle was a little too short...

Congratulations Eevee grew to Level 6

Congratulations Sandshrew grew to Level 8 and learned Sand Attack

Sean was out of the Gym, with his Thunder Badge, which was his third edition to his badge case, which meant he needed 5 more to enter the Pokemon League. He was still at Vermilion City, with a smile on his face. He had spent quite a while in there, and was planning on getting to Celadon by evening. Since he had just exited a battle, and knew that there would be on coming up soon, he needed to restore his Pokemon back to full health again in the Pokemon Center. Before he entered, he could see a news reporter and a large crowd hovering around the grass. Sean was curious, so he just stood by the Pokemon Center building, trying to hear what they were talking about, but of course he only had one thing on his mind, the one thing that he wanted. "So, here we are at the end of Route 6, and we still have no sign of the white Eevee that has been lurking around this area, it shall not be long until we will have to call of the search and this rare, pretty and shiny Pokemon will be anybodys." her words were takin into Sean's mind, who then knew what the Pokemon was. "Eevee, eh?" Sean liked the sound of it, and all the words the news reporter used to describe it. His grin got wider on his face, as he was planning on where exactly Eevee could be, as it would certainlty be tricky to obtain. People were starting to leave, as people from the crowd were also leaving too, so Sean had no more to wait for, and he slid through the automatic doors of the Pokemon Center.

Inside, Nurse Joy was not there, she was inside the healing room, tending to other Pokemon, so Sean had to take a seat in the waiting room. Inside, there was only one person waiting, and he was just about the same age as Sean but he had an evil look on his face. His hair was slightly long, it was citrine and was straight. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, wairing black trousers that brushed his ankles. Sean thought he was strange, but he gave no facial expression and just took a seat next to him. Once he sat down, there was a ring on his phone, so he lifted the phone out of his jacket pocket. The boy answered it, and then gave a 'hmm' as he answered it. His voice sounded older than he looked, but he was definetley around the same age as him. Sean tried not to listen on to the conversation, as it would be rude, but he could not help it. "Yes. Mmhm. I'm getting that Eevee for myself, and only myself. Nobody can stop-" Sean interrupted him roudly by making a fake coughing noise repeatedly, as he could not stand what he was saying, as only he deserved it. As the strange lad noticed him, he gave him an evil look and didn't take the interruption lightly, "Hold on a sec-" he put his phone down for a minute as he turned to Sean, looking at him. "So, what's your deal?" Sean didn't care what he was about to say, but the boy did look seriously at him. "That Eevee is rare, don't be so sure that you're going to get it. It's anybody's." Sean explained it to him, but he still wasn't listening, and huffed at him, "And you think that you're going to get it? That's so rich, you look like you couldn't even get a Ratatta!" he was starting to get roud now, as he lifted one of his eyebrow and grinned back evilly. Sean was getting annoyed, and felt like showing what he was made of, but instead, he kept on a straight face, and introduced himself. "Sean." he gave his name, leaving the other boy to give his name in return. "Callum. Future Pokemon Master. That's right, my Pokemon are all going to be brought up to be successful and superior." sean could tell that he was certainly vein and only cared about himself, forgetting that he had a call on the phone. He lifted back up his phone, and just responed to the reciepnt of the call, "See you later, Diane. I gotta go now." Sean gasped at that, as Nurse Joy entered the waiting room. She came out with 5 PokeBalls and one small blue Pokemon walking right beside her. "Here you are, Callum." she handed back all of his PokeBalls, as he put them in his dark purple bag. The other Pokemon beside him was small, blue and looked like a rodent with a part of its body white. It was happy, unlike him who was smugg, and nudges Sean on the way out without saying anything. Nurse Joy then turned to Sean who then asked what she could do for him. Sean got out sic of his PokeBalls, and Nurse Joy happily accepted them and headed off back into the healing room. Sean really did have to think about what he was dealing with and how many people were standing in his way of the Shiny Eevee. Of course, Sean was confident and would give it one heck of a try, but so much competition could perhaps get in the way. Rather quickly, Nurse Joy re-arrived with his six PokeBalls, who then handed them over to Sean who got back up on his feet, thanked Nurse Joy and walked off.

Outside, the streets were crowded and there were some posters put up showing that there was a Shiny Eeevee on the loose, which was certainly distracting for Sean, who tried to rip them all off. Nobody caught him, but he knew that he might get in trouble for going against the law by ripping off posters that were put up by the law. Knowing that it still wouldn't get him anywhere, Sean had then turned back to Route 6, which was not as crowded as before but only for the reason that the news reporter had already said that the Eevee had moved on to another spot. Sean thought that if he headed through Saffron, and headed towards Celadon it would be up close, hopefully. Unfortunately, he did know that Saffron would be three times more crowded if the Eevee was going to be around that part of Kanto. Still, Sean didn't care how many people would be there as long as they wouldn't do anything to the Eevee that was going to be his, no matter what, so he wandered off to Route 6, in the direction of Saffron.

@FlareonFan - haha, Sean really wants that Eevee. Wonder if he'll find it... :)

Anyway since your nearly there, heres Saffron:

Warren moaned as he stumbled along Route 6. Battling Misty had slowed him down and the sun was starting to drop.
"Where the hell are we?" he shouted in frustration, then got a huge shock when someone replied.
"Middle of Route 6, mate. Near to Saffron." Warren looked up to see a rather-depressed looking boy trudging along in the opposite direction, a pair of pokeballs in his hands.
"I just got my butt kicked by some girl I ran into," he explained, "My Meowth and Cubone are pretty beat up, so I'm taking them to the Pokemon Centre" Warren was not in the mood for chatting, however.
"I don't want your life story..." he muttered, pushing past the boy, who looked a little shocked.
"Hey, be careful, there's a-"
"AAARRRGGGHH!"
"...cliff. Are you alright?" Warren picked himself up, then glanced at the trainer standing at the top of the steep incline. Fortunately, the drop had been relatively short and Warren's fall had been broken. Unfortunately, it seemed that his fall had been broken, not by something, but by someone...

Rini continued walking to Vermillion City. It was nearing evening and her stomach growled in protest.

There was a lighter growl from her arms.

"Your hungry too, huh Pichu?" Rini laughed. "It'll be too late when we arrive to go to the gym. How about dinner and a nice hot bath."

"Pi pichu!" she aggred wholeheartdly.

Rini passed under a cliff, well more like a very steep incline.

"AAARRRGGGHH!"

"Huh?" she glanced up and felt herself knocked into the dirt. The worst part....the ground was fairly soggy.

She felt something squirm beneath her. "Mrrphhhh mrrrrrrr."

"Pichu?" Rini gasped. She pushed against the weight on her back slightly. "Get off of....."

"Chuuuu!" Pichu discharged almost all of her electricity in one blast.

Rini felt her arms lock and she yelped loudly. "Pichu stop!"

After a few moments the volts stopped, but not before she and whatever was on her back were throughly shocked.

"AAAARRRGGGHHH!" Warren shouted for the second time in as many minutes. Whatever was underneath him had just given him the shock of his life, literally. Spasming a little, Warren rolled to the sideand glanced back, seeing that he had in fact landed on a girl, who had then landed on a Pichu.
"Stupid baby pokemon," he muttered to himself, not even bothering to help the girl up, "Why do people like them so much? They're damn annoying." Then he finally looked at the girl of the ground. "Can't you keep that creature under some kind of control? I mean, its a Pichu, not a Tauros or something. You know, I bet you aren't even a half-way decent trainer. It would explain why you're on the way to Vermillion and I'm returning from there, having won the Thunder Badge." As he said this, Warren smugly tapped the badge on his belt. "Hey, how about I beat you in a battle? Three on three. Then I can show you how to really be a trainer." Through all of this, the girl had remained silent, but now she rose to her feet and opened her mouth to speak.

OOC: that might of, been a tiny bit of bunnying at the end,but I figured Rini would probably be standing up anyway :P

Throughout all of his ranting Rini had felt her face flushed in both embarsment and anger. Her Pichu wasn't a stupid baby......well maybe a little.

He was the one who flew off the incline and knocked her down, and her couldn't even offer to help her up.

"Blah, blah, blah....." Rini stood and dusted herself off, as she glared at the boy. "You talk more then most of those women my dad hits on."

She pulled a pokeball from her pocket, and expanded it. "But, if you want to fight me that's fine too." she tossed the pokeball up and down a few times and caught it. "I prefer to start my battles off with a zing. And more spacifically the names Rini."

She tossed the pokeball forward and in a shiny sparkle her Butterfree appeared.

She glanced at Rini then forward at the boy who lookes as if he could scare a rampaging Primape. "Free..." she blushed, and waved at him.

"Huh?"

Butterfree fluttered back and backhanded her in the head with her wing before giggling evily, then taking her place once more.

"Ow..." Rini muttered.

Warren chuckled as Butterfree chose to smack her own trainer in the head.
"I guess you can't control any of your pokemon, really. How you managed to catch a shiny Butterfree is beyond me. In fact, you probably caught it as a Metapod, when it couldn't even move or fight back." Warren smiled, then reached to his belt.
"Seeing as you're using Butterfree," he drawled, "I'll use Beedrill! Let's go!" In a flash of light, the huge yellow and black striped insect materialsed, facing the overgrown butterfly.
"Beeeee..."It hummed quietly.
"Okay, lets start this with Fury Attack!" Warren shouted and Beedrill's wings snapped into action, propelling it forwards. As it neared Butterfree, it raised its huge stingers menacingly...

"It's not that I can't control her." Rini looked put out. "She's just showing her affection. And I caught her as a Caterpie.....a very roudy one"

Rini watched as Warren choose his pokemon. A Beedrill.....She gulped.

Those stingers looked like they ment serious business.

When Warren called out his first attack Rini snapped back to reality to see his pokemon closing in on Butterfree with a fury attack.

"Ah, string shot now!" Rini thought about those stingers, and the best way to deal with them.

Butterfree whipped up a sticky bunch of string and wrapped it around both of Beedrill's stingers.

"Now confusion, Butterfree!"
