I happy to be the 100th post.
I am going to add another favorite couple of mine.
I like Franz and Albert from Gankutsuou. These two teens have been the best of friends since of childhood. They are two aristocrats from some of the most prominent families in futuristic Paris. Albert (the brown-haired one) is a trusting and exuberant young man, while Franz (the blond) is generally the more rational, level-headed one who is there to save Albert whenever he winds up in trouble. The two travel around living the playboy life style, gambling and meeting beautiful girls. Franz tries to act somewhat cool, and disinterested, but there is nobody more loyal to Albert than him, and it's implied that he likes Albert as more than a friend, and is in love with him. Albert is clueless, and while Albert is kind-hearted, he's also rather immature at the beginning of the series and doesn't always appreciate how much Franz does for him. Many people are in love with him, but Albert is still a kid a heart and doesn't seem to reciprocate or even know what's up half of the time. The person that Albert really idolizes is the dark, dangerous and mysterious count of Monte Cristo, but he happens to be the worst person he could listen to.

I love unrequited love! To complicate it further, Franz is engaged to another aristocrat, the shy and gentle Valentine Villefort. It is an arranged marriage by their families and Franz hasn't looked twice at her. He doesn't swing that way. Valentine however is in love with Franz, and wishes her fiance felt the same way about her. I'm crazy about love triangles and unrequited feelings!
