For my entry, I decided to make a special limited edition of Black & White with a blurb stating that Pre-Unova Pokemon are now available!

I broke from the tradition of legendaries and decided to use the Unova starters on the cover. The background was designed myself using Paint.

It contains elements of Grey (Kyurem), Black (Zekrom) and White (Reshiram).

I chose the Unova starters to showcase the Unova region to those who aren't familiar with legendaries.

Most fun I've had in awhile, actually. I'd do a cover for the back but I spent all my free time doing this instead of my homework lol

Unova map, Hilda, Herbert, Tepig and 'Version' images are from Bulbapedia. The Pokémon logo is from Wikipedia. The Kyurem image on Bulbapedia and everywhere else I looked was like really small so I found one on DeviantArt, made by "NitroDS". The ESRB rating and the Nintendo logo were taken from their own respective websites.

First Try

So I've never done anything like this and I think its pretty good for a first try. I'm obviously not gonna win but it was really fun. Way to fill in my afternoon after school today.Its pretty obvious that Kyureum will be the star of the next game I used genesect just for the cool factor. Hope you guys like it.

Drives are form Bulbapedia, Font from Dafont, 3ds thing, plasma members and Genesect are from google images not sure were they were origanally from.
 
So.. yeah.

I just stayed with the basic idea of the cover. I didn't put any special effects, no flashy holographic effects, I just stayed with the general idea. I stayed with Kyurem, 'cause I couldn't decided on which Pokémon to use! o3o; It took me a good hour or two to get the shapes right for the "Grey" text.

Anyways, here is my entry!

NintendoDS Side Image, Nintendo Logo image, and the "Version" were ripped from the Pokémon White cover that Forever provided.
ESRB Notice image was found on Google Images.

We don't have to do a back cover right? Because even if I did do one, the ideas I'd have, no time to do it, have to revise and stuff xD

Anyway, I didn't use my own art because the image captures what I would actually want Kyurem's alternative form to look like. From the metallic angelic wings to the turbo tail, it's amazing, just what I had in mind.

Rules are about to change in Unova. Day to day live won't be the same. Does the mysterious Team Plasma have anything to do with it? Or the legendary Dragon creator of Unova? The world isn't black and white as it seems anymore, it's truly...

I want the Third Game to be called Grey and Abstract isn't copyrighted anyway, so I made the background grey. The Dragon is the original, fusion of Reshiram and Zekrom. Kyurem's old self. The new Photoshop skills I learned in school sure payed off in editing the image. The Dragon is meant to like pop out a bit, whole 3D thing.

Kept the checkered pattern and "Version" text to keep it's relationship to Black and White and the simplicity they're meant to have though Abstract isn't plain and simple. The blue, red and yellow pieces stand for the energy forms, ice, fire and electricity. I want this game on the 3DS.

Right so even though I'm terrible at Art I thought I'd give it a shot but going by these entres I don't have a chance now! (I can't believe it's been 1 year for B/W now, amazing! looking forward to the third game)

Right - before you ask, no there isn't a font for the 'Grey' text - I had to design and draw that myself (took an hour to do right). :)

It's based on the European box, hence the PEGI logos instead of the ERSB logos and the 'Assembled in Germany' bit. Just 'cos it's grey version doesn't mean it can't be colourful. ^^

Can I just say, you've done an excellent job here and the hard work paid off, it's so realistic and just brilliant!

For a second there I thought this was actually from Nintendo!

I think this one should win because it has a really cool ice effect and good detail.

Congrats guys. :) Emblems will come hopefully... soon? Either way I loved all the entries (well, make that most of the entries) and it was somewhat successful which was good too! Some of you really should go work for GF. XD
 
Just wanted to congratulate the winners/runner ups! I agree with Forever, you all did pretty well designing a cover for a third game and it makes me wonder what some of you would plan out for an entire new Pokémon game.

Most of my scores were really high because I'm nice because you all did a great job on your covers. Now I demand all of you print them and put them in a DS case like Kip did with his. xD
