Out of curiosity, which scene are you referring to exactly?

The scene where the main's book gets burned. It felt really strange how, from start to finish, even in the part where he starts to stand up for himself (which is where most of the punch should have been), it was all just played for laughs. The music was campy and lighthearted throughout, the bully lacked any sort of menace (which they should have had a field day with), and the main's failure to act was just portrayed in a way that felt more like a lukewarm comedy rather than a framing of the character's faults that you're supposed to have any remorse for.

And it's a damn shame, too, because I really feel that that scene's probably one of the better first chapter examples of his lack of self-confidence and the divide between a quirk and a quirkless.

I'm so happy that my expectations were fulfilled with that first episode. Midoriya's attitude was captured by the voice actor, the comedy remained and was even amplified with the animation, and Kacchan's still lovingly psychotic <3 But this time around, seeing Midoriya's dreams crushed hurt a lot more than it did in the manga. Also, I will totally be downloading that theme song.

I feel like this series will help me make up for how hopelessly behind I fell on Hitman Reborn. I've read a chunk of manga chapters for this, and I really like it. It's satisfying enough when you want to read / watch a fighting Shonen series. Also anime-wise, I'm loving the animation.

Ohhhhh. So now it makes sense.

I wish they made a one-hour special, or a double-timeslot episode 1, because now I see why episode 1 was stupidly boring and this was really entertaining and funny.

Wow, the latest episode was incredible! Those last two shots of Deku and All Might in front of the sunset were AMAZING, I'm so glad they managed to pull off that scene so flawlessly. Also, more Deku and Kacchan moments are always welcome. 8D

So far the art direction is fantastic, I hope this level of quality continues throughout the whole show.
And All Might's "Holy sh*t" was the best, lol

Right?? I laughed a lot at that. Reading the English version of the manga, the cursing doesn't really stand out at all, so I was not expecting that. I love All Might so much.

The music is clap worthy, the art so far is satisfactory, the story progression is good. A perfect adaptation says the people.

I am eagerly waiting for the next episodes! I'm burning with curiosity to see if Izuku can handle All Might's quirk! he's to train for it!

Definitely my favourite anime this season. The way it's been paced was how I expected it to be so I'm seriously excited about the next episode especially :D entrance exam time!
